I really cant believe my eyes.. i didnt see any comments around here regarding this BTC fork..
I really HATE BTC... but i must admit this hardfork is more useful than other shitcoins like BTG.. and it is also easy money, a extra free coin.
my worst worry is the absence of replay protection.. so i will take a high risk if try to sell BTC just after fork?

Yes, you must be the result of these forks. But as investors demand, they will continue to exist in the market.

Well yeah that is if they don't have replay protection which they probably should and if they don't a lot of websites and wallets won't support it from the get go. You will get official announcements from everybody though considering it is a bigger fork than these other 3-5 we have had in the past month here.

I see the news about this throughout the forum ,the problem is why you hate bitcoin basically bitcoin is the founder or originator of altcoin and actually not altcoin if there is no bitcoin ,you have to be patient to sell bitcoin if you want more profit

This is pretty similar to a scam. Different team just taking the name of B2X for the fast money. This will even drop faster than Bitcoin Gold. Does one even care about those forks anymore? Do some research about this fork on reddit.

Does this mean I'll get an equivalent value in segwit2x of dollars I have in btc?

I expect the new forked coin to go down in price a lot in the first few hours of existance, maybe even days, because people will be wanting to sell them immediatly to make some quick money. But if you're fast enough to sell them you can also make some quick money. Maybe it will rise in price a few weeks after release just like bitcoin gold, but no-one can predict the future.

No but you will get the same amount of btc that you have since it is a 1:1 ratio. The number of dollars that you will get is dependent on the price segwit2x fork will have in the time you intend to sell. It will also dependent whether how many users got segwit2x forked coin since some web wallets does not distribute forked coins to their users. I am sure that it will have at least a hundred dollar value after it's release on market.

I certainly wont be buying any bitcoin, I am not excited for any forks besides ethereums.

August? And just that first one created panic and fear among

   What I think about next fork is my general opinion about
Bitcoin forks, some developers are using Bitcoin popularity to
make money. How many of them will survive?
   I like facts and one big fact is that only BCH or Bitcoin Cash or
BitCash was covered by all news and many comments here. This
fork is popular and many services are accepting that alt-coin now,
it is a fact that BCH is gaining popularity.

I dnt really hype about this forking, this coin supposed to be forking long time ago and its failed, so its like a failed student trying to get passed the exam again, and I am bit tired with all the forking, just hoping this forking could contribute a little things for bitcoin and other crypto

I agree that we should be patient and holding bitcoin for so long time is a good choice, so stay within good control. For now fork still at nowhere to happen, but unpredictably at that specific date december 28 this year end. Those haters we couldn't stop them, and actually we could not stop them to say bad speculations because in reality they're frustrated buyers who haven't grab the oportunity while price at lower value.

This works somewhat like this but your dollars conception is wrong. Actually you will get the same amount as you have in bitcoin during fork time.
For example, if you had 0.8 BTC in your waller during fork, the 0.8 amount will be given to you from segwit2x. You could't count how many dollars the new coin is ewuivalent because it depends on market price of coin.

I think that's why BTC is falling. Real segwit2x fools investors. It's selling BTC now.

a few more hours to go and segwit2x hardfork will be online it is available in hitbtc or in yobit and i think the distribution of the fork is 1:1 in yobit but the website says that "I promise that all BTC holders will receive not only B2X in the ratio of 1 to 1, but also a proportional number of Satoshi Nakamoto`s Bitcoins as a reward for their commitment to progress."

seems like segwit2x is a failed attempt again. really sad for btc price nowadays.

Luckily replay protection does exist but it's just another useless fork. There's gonna be 2 million pre mined coins , it is knows as SegWit but it isn't the official SegWit which we all were eagerly waiting for. I'm only sad that people don't fall for these anymore like in past whenever a fork would occur people would dump their alts.

The company is also advertising to sign a petition to list their shit coin in major exchanges like bittrex , poloniex , bitfinex , etc.

It's nothing but trash and speculation. This is nothing but harming the market.

I am hearing about sigwith2x again after it was postpone last time! Op, if I may ask, Which of the exchange platforms are supporting this sigwith2x now? Because one will need to know this in other to avoid a replay. I will also joined others to say; you should not hate bitcoin as it might be the currency of the  future and standings as a gold standard to other currencies.

I don't really care about segwit 2x ... in my books it's something just like bcash and bgold.. I will not be buying that but if they wanna give it to me for free then yaaay ;) free money is always good :)

There are 65 blocks to 501451 blocks. Something will not work at all, but it's too much.

Very difficult to predict what will happen, but just in case you should hedge your funds buy investing in different reliable altcoins such as XRP Ethereum and a bit hoding in BTC. After the 28th the situation will become more clear about further actions.

I think future forks will have no value until they can prove to investors/users that it isn't a simple cash grab. The days of Bitcoin cash or Bitcoin Gold simply becoming Billion dollar coins is over.

Are we 100% sure this forking coin has real 2 way replay protection?  That is the main problem I had wth the previous attempt with it.
