Title: MtGox Phishing ad on Facebook
Post by: mehransaam on July 31, 2013, 07:40:19 PM
Be aware!!!  There is a Phishing ad on Facebook, it takes you to this site in Brazil but it looks exactly like the MTGOX site: mtgox.com.bz/login/  It asks you to log into your account for a reward of 0.5 to 0.7 BTC.

I have a screen shot but not sure how to insert it between these tags!?  Done!  thanks Scott J.

I was just about to post about this.

I'm annoyed I didn't get a screenshot - upload it to imgur then link here with the insert image button.

You can report it to Facebook by pressing the x on the ad and specifying a reason.

Simple solutions:

1. Don't use facebook.
2. Develop a brain.

Why are warnings like these even posted here. Let people watch after themselves, then perhaps they will learn.

Or then can learn by being told rather than having their funds stolen ::)

People become smart and watch after themselves by getting the info they need on forums like this.   ;)

Oh jeez, you obviously haven't been around this particular sub forum too long have you?

I have not. Is that a problem that bothers the old-timers!?   ;)

No not at all, fresh meat!

Seriously this particular sub-forum is nearly as bad as the troll box on BTC-e for accurate info.

~BCX~

I see.  A post on phishing ads on Fb is a troll but your posts are not!

Whenever I see "Hey come look at our site for a special promotion" or receive emails "Please click this link to verify/log in etc." I usually tell people to log in directly from the web browser like they normally would to see if they can't spot that promotion or notification on their account. Unsure if it actually helps, but I've covered my behind.

If you're stupid enough to login to Gox from a .br domain, then you NEED your coins stolen.

Why?
