We are changing the rules for this crowdsale

If you invest in this crowdsale, you'll receive 2x1.

What's it mean?

If you buy PETRO during crowdsale, you will receive 2 Petro Coin in the new blockchain for each PETRO obtained. (See roadmap)

Example:

- You buy 100,000 PETRO.
- You will receive 200,000 PETRO coin.

But, that's not all!

If you acquire Petro after this crowdsale, you will receive 1:1 Petro Coin.

Example:

- You've purchased 200,000 PETRO from this crowdsale.
- You buy 100,000 PETRO from exchange (Bitfinex)
Total tokens held in your address: 300,000 PETRO

When the new Petro blockchain has deployed you will receive:

400,000 PETRO (2x1 crowdsale)

that article clearly says "to launch" that means they want to launch it, but did not do so yet. When the official announcement will be made you can try again. Also the fact that there is no market cap, I think it will be risky.

That was 2 weeks ago. Development has already started.

Scamer thread, there are a not official info about that coin, maybe the owner of this thread is trying to steall your money.

Surely the government of Venezuela will make the announcement officially on TV with the project website

I believe so too. Still there is not a public announce for the Petro launch, for the moment Venezuela government is just giving information about "how it is going to be", so still is in preparation.

Plus, in this post they say they will publish the White Paper on March 2018, but that the crowdsale started on 27 December 2017. That does not have sense for me.

To make such a project in such a country, to be honest, I don't think it is possible to succeed, and the information is very vague.

The coin in question announced and false. It is not coin announced by Venezuela and even if it was a government coin the country is completely bankrupt and only a failed attempt to maintain the dictatorial regime and get some dollars.

With all the hype around this token it doesn't really matter what it is "issued" for. Because it will surely give lots of profit to its early investors. If you buy in on pre-sale then on the exchange it'll be x10 (minimum) on the very first day of trading I think.

How can you prove that you represent the real Petrocoin?

I`ve heard abt petro, but i`m doubt that governmental authorities will announce public ICO on forums etc, so ther should be official public announcment on gov. sites.

It is hosted in Germany, no other information. They require no registration (unlike the official site) and just want you to transfer ETH into a wallet they generate and control!
You will lose everything you hive them. But the site looks very professional and beautiful, and is in the same style as the government's site. I think it will not be taken down, because the people that control the internet don't want El Petro (PTR) to succeed.

The site at getpetrocoin.com might or might not be a legitimate alternate coin, that changed its name to Locha. Not related (but opposed) to the government coin initiative.

I see people post that this project is SCAM and campaign manager have get negative trust. I m glad to see the information about ICO scam including this ICO, hopefully no more SCAM projects other than this because i hate fraud.

I have seen news for a long time that Venezuela will create its altcoin. But I did not believe it)). It seems to me that the economy of this country is at a very low level and the creation of crypto will only make the situation worse. Now this idea is similar to fraud.

why do you think that an altcoin created by venezuale's government will make the situation worse? In any case they will earn some money without... in the worst case scenario government  will use it for its own business, but at least the situation will be the same..
