Also lots of good points being made about "gold reserves" and proven physical gold bricks ... But then again, it's no 1-to-1 with countries comparison like the GDP chart on the web. Currently the Bitcoin market = 1/40th of the top gold reserve holder, the USA.

For instance, right now Bitcoin has the equivalent gold parity with the summation of gold reserves of Kyrgyzstan, Canada, Slovenia, Aruba, Hungary, Bosnia, Luxembourg, Hong Kong, Iceland, Papua New Guinea, Trinidad, Albania and Yemen combined. 8)
