Bitcoin value will upto 30k USD end of the 2018 and I think you will find the ethereum also bumped more than 1500 USD as my knowledge. Many countries already passing the bill and make the bitcoin as the legal currency. Once the bitcoin has been adopted by the various countries you will find the bitcoin value bumped like how we see when the time bitcoin adopted by Japan.
Some corporates also gonna create a new coin and blockchain technology implementation has been done.

Was 2017 not already the year of the cryptocurrency craze? I mean if 2017 was not that year but 2018, I can't imagine how crazy the mass media and governments will go, since the increase in 2017 has already triggered them so hard.

Cryptos in general, but not for bitcoin. Only if the lightning network gets implemented bitcoin would be much more better than what it is right now, but with the actual conditions, this could be a little bit difficult to see happening

I think is is really hard to predict such thing becaus bitcoin really getting more unexpected on this comming days we can never really know what would really happen next to this cazy year bitcoin is really getting more popular and it is really open to all who get amze and believe  on it maybe in the future bitcoin has become really a big thing.

2018 will be the cryptocurrency hangover!

It could be but I think there will also be a bit of turmoil in 2018. I say this because things went quite smooth in 2017 other than the hard forking and I expect similar things in 2018. It generally will be okay but there will be a wrench or two thrown in watch. I don't know what it will be but something will happen. Perhaps with regulation or tax or perhaps a scandal of some nature or perhaps a hack, something will happen I don't know what though.

Absulotely yes, bitcoin would be in a hiatus in 2018. There will be ups and downs on bitcoin price and in the last quarter of 2018 will be like the last quarter of this year where bitcoin price surge higher than anyone has expected. More atlernate coins would rise too but many would also fall in digits. I will join the craze of cryptocurrency next year and see what it would bring for our economy.

I agree with this too, but we just need to see what is going to happen with the other cryptos too. Maybe there are going to be another newbie coins that will probably be better than bitcoin.

Can we all first stop with the "year of" BS? It's getting tiring, this has been used on the forum like how much we have used "hodl". :/

The thing is, cryptorucerrencies are the buzz word online nowadays (that doesn't make it "the year of" BS!). The reason is that the world is transitioning to this new found technology that would likely revolutionize the world. The only thing constant in this world is change, and change will happen in how we use money through cryptocurrencies. This is a fact we must accept.

They say its good to "buy the rumor and sell the news". It implies something like, good traders will buy in before something is in the news for being a great investment. And also when the news is reporting an investment hit record numbers that's often too late to buy in, potential profits are gone by that point.

Usually when something like bitcoin has hit "multiple times its initial value" that's a little too late to be making "bold" predictions.  :)

Also I would guess Scott Rosenberg bought bitcoin and is merely using whatever platform he has hoping to convince others to buy in, so he can make his profits.

2017 was more cray on these case. 2018 will be more smart about cryptocurency. And I'm sure that it will be a wave of legalization processes next year. So just let's prepare)

Yes its going to be crazy this year hoping more increasing of price value.We are expecting for more investors to invest and users to join in bitcoin.So we can have more profits in our money.Cryptocurrency is now popular and I think there was a big news in this coming 2018.

Maybe, specially when Japan enter the world of crypto. As far as we can see, a lot of things invented and discovered by Japan so hopefully they will contribute in cryptocurrency. 2018 is the most awaited time of the crypto enthusiast, opportunities will come and bitcoin will sharply increases.

Many people have predicted it. I also believe that it will at the very least hit $20000 again. People are being crazy about it already and there's so many countries with overinflated currencies that want a piece of the pie that there's no other way for cryptocurrencies than up.

From what i am seeing, it seems to be starting, people are also now getting involved in the crypto market and they ate not just only focused on bitcoins, they are also buying altcoins, if you see the volume of altcoins today, some had doubled already.and even tripled in size, and the people are already gettig on when should buy altcoins and when should they exit, it seems that investors are being more sophisticated than ever, and by next year, we might see a rally of plenty of coins, including bitcoin.

I believe 2018 would definitely be a "Crytocurrency Craze" year since most of the countries are thinking of legalizing bitcoin and some leading countries are planning to implement as soon as possible. Once major developing countries adopt bitcoin, not only bitcoin, altcoins also would be sky rocketing in 2018.

I do not know for whom 2018 will become a boom, but for me it was 2017 godu.U me everything came true what I wanted and bitcoin helped me in this. I can say that last year was successful for me.

Bitcoin will have a normal and gradual increment in 2018 we should not expect the exponential rise of bitcoin in 2017 this year because there are some  salients issues associated with bitcoin e.g policies against adoption of bitcoin in some countries, scalability issues with bitcoin and growing crypos competitions with bitcoin like BCH, ethereum, ripple e.t.c.

I dont want to expect to much in this year 2018 cause the bitcoin price is now crashing which is we have no idea when will be the valued goes up again.  Since this scenario is about a week now , i have doubts maybe it will take to long to recover , perhaps mid of january  because also of some issues made on this month.  

The craze already started last year, but like you said, I am very sure this year is going to come with even more craze than we can all imagine. A lot of people and new investors are even more aware now than last year and I am imagining the level of attack bitcoin is even going to have while it keeps soaring as usual despite all odds. I am very optimistic and I hope we get to see the huge increase in value when LN is even deployed.

BTC will most likely triple in its current value by the end of 2018. Btc will be tradable on a larger scale and many vendors will start accepting btc as a payment method. Altcoins will benefit as well, and laymen will also be aware of btc and cryptocurrencies in general.

Cryptocurrency rapid rise isn't over yet for sure. I think we're going to see bitcoin hitting the $60,000 mark.

As I look the bitcoin this year, the $60,000 is possible and also there are more countries that adopts bitcoin than those who are avoiding it. Im pretty sure that the cryptocurrency this year will give a big profit to those who invest in it in 2017.

Yeah most probably. The reason is all the hypes that occured up until now. Well the hype? Many of the altcoins went crazy this time, unexpected coins came into picture after very long terms and people who were not in the crypto and did not believe it are now coming into it with full fledge. This is what will change the face of crypto currency in the coming days this year. More people means more investment and it would be better opportunity for new ICO to come into picture. So yeah this is going to be crazy year for the crypto currency. :-)

2017 has made a remarkable event in the history of crypto currencies especially bitcoin. The value of bitcoin doubled in less than a year and I don't think 2018 can beat that in history though I am positive about the idea that bitcoin value will continue to appreciate but I'm not confident it can go as much as 100% increase in price. For me 2017 is still the year of crypto currencies

There may be some truth to this since 2017 is just a start. Crypto may go wild or be tamed depending on other countries take on it. Sure hope that this year sees a fruitful business for bitcoin.

Last year bitcoin had growed a lot i dont believe we will get such similiar result into 2018, what we are able to see for now is bitcoin loosing its power against others altcoins, wich has camed with a lot power into the market, and since bitcoin made the first heavy readjust since the last months, well all can happen, as its crypto.

One thing is sure, because of cryptocurrency - great ideas will become reality.

This could be really possible. Crytocurrency is becoming more and more familiar to many and many are now using it not just bitcoin but even alternative currencies. Bitcoin might really boom in the spotlights because of those who continuously believe in it.

This is very possible, and there are a lot of sign in this sense: the real problem now is to understand how to profit of this boom and don't be overhelmed by the situation. We'll see.

I agree that 201have been the cryptocurrency craze, it was like a roller coaster ride to have seen value from low point and pumping to its peakest within a week. If it would happen in 2018 well it would bring so much thrill to btc lovers. Let's all watch and see right before our very eyes.  :)

I feel 2018 will be the move from bitcoin to alt coins. And alt coin space will be VERY volatile... however it comes, 2018 will be a exciting year! :) Have fun everyone,

I am pretty optimistic that it would even rise more than that in this 2018. We cannot say yet the exact amount though because I was really surprised at how bitcoin really ended up last year, but for now, I want to assume that things will really change a lot and then the adoption this year is going to increase the more even more than last year which would make the value shoot higher than we have it right now.

I am so much looking forward to how this year is going to play out in the crypto world. I am even looking forward to the war and how it is going to play out. This is the year where so many policies are going to be dropped and I am sure a lot of them may want to be an attack on bitcoin but really, no one knows and we guess we just have to see how events will turn out eventually.

This is might be possible because of the rapid demand of the use of cryptocurrency, after Bitcoin news about record by record all-time high many will attract to test mine or to buy Bitcoin, good luck for this year!

Cryptocurrency craze already started last 2017, this year we expect that more and more people will be involve since their curiosity already been triggered by the news widely spread offline and online. We are hoping worldwide legalization of its use soon.

One certain thing is that 2018 will be the year of blockchain. The implications of blockchain technology are far beyond what it's still elusive creator Satoshi Nakamoto thought would be. Blockchain can be used in banking industry (it has started, but still nascent), in electoral procedures, maintaining public records etc. The only real hindrances being the fear of loss of human resource as it is automation heavy. And other being institutional resistance, which reflects the fear of records being maintained in a decentralized manner.

I doubt that 2018 will be crazier than 2017, at least for bitcoin. As for altcoins - there will be surprises, and probably big ones.

Blockchain technology would really give a big impact when it comes on losing up specially on banking work which would mostly be affected if they would decide to adopt it but I would say it takes time and lots of debate on a certain country if they would decide to implement it or not because lots of people will be affected which as being said automation would really be heavy.

As we can see, almost altcoins are starting to pump right after New Year's eve and i know a roller coaster ride is just about to start for the cryptos in the cryptoworld. I just hope the altcoins that i have in my wallet will also make a run this year and also to my prospective alt coins as well as i found them stagnant the past few days.

Maybe if it happens to fall, it might also climb back up, cause lots of investors will begin to invest heavily to buy-in at the lowest price. By the way, they said it’s the year of cryptocurrencies craze and not the year of Bitcoin craze lol. Curiosity and with the effect of word of mouth, more and more people become interested in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, so I think 2017 is just a beginning or awakening.
Also in 2018 big companies will enter this area and some cryptos will raise to numbers that I cant imagine.

I am expecting some more growth for Bitcoin but in terms of growth percentage I think nothing can ever break the record established in 2017. Within this year, there would be a more cautious attitude and people will be looking at Bitcoin in a very balanced way. I guess that this year we will see a more intelligent crowd getting into Bitcoin not like those who rushed into it in 2017 who are just thinking of what they can get out of their investment. After the euphoria in 2017, there would be more reasons in 2018.

I totally believe the craze in 2017 was just a start of it all. We had some craze too around 2013, but 2017 capped it up for now and I am sure this year 2018 would even be crazier.

I am still also sure that we should expect some war on bitcoin this year as most governments are really trying to see how they can do the whole thing so as to scare people away but that depends on how investors react to it anyway. This is not the first time things like this will happen.

Bitcoin is already booming no matter what happens in long run. The ups and downs will come always and it’s non ending process for bitcoin. For the altcoin market grabbing such heights is big deal but somehow they are also making their way. XRP for example was so small before and now suddenly things are reversed for it. Likewise many coins are gettin spiked day by day. So definitely 2018 will be filled with great profits and investment opportunities.

I hope the government's and politicians are prepared for this! Because for images war I think bitcoin is prepared and since it has been fighting I do believe governments and elites cannot defeat it and the only option there will have is to join it. 2018 is going to be very interesting and I expect bitcoin to make another 10* gain.

I think 2017 was the year of the cryptocurrency craze and we won't see another year like it, I suspect now the growth from here will be much more steady with the obvious highs and lows in between.

I think it would be difficult to beat what was 2017 brought in the history of crypto currencies. There's a lot of transformation that happens in cryptos especially bitcoin also the value appreciation in 2017 is really historical breaking. I agree that this year is a great opportunity for all of us whose holding lots of altcoins, and hopefully we'll be wealthy of what we are having. That hit of bitcoin price this 2018 will be in parallel with how other alts is behaving well, particular on the pumps and dumps as part of the fluctuations in which involves different decisions from different traders online. It's been speculated that price of bitcoin possibly be pumping to another highest price, and much bigger of last year's value; keep calm and just hold your coins.

It will be an interesting year as the technology behind cryptos gains a mainstream audience.
There are still lots of projects that are overvalued as they have not yet delivered the promised product.

Hi, how are you? I have to say that in 2018, the news about the crytos will increase exponentially, we will have to wait to see the future.

Cryptocurrency craze will be more popular this 2018 since many investors see it as a big potential specially bitcoin. Many people wish to become rich and only through cryptocurrency it will become possible.

I thought it was the year 2017 but i guess it will continue to be popular on this year 2018. I hope this will be the reason why bitcoin's value will have a possibility to bubble again. If more people will have an interest on bitcoin in this coming year, I think another bubble will be possible.

      I think 2017 is already a year of the cryptocurrency craze, because many people are crazy enough in crypto specially in bitcoin and even government become crazy on how to hold bitcoiners and make regulation just to put taxes. But i think also being crazy in crypto will continue to spread out this year 2018.

Hopefully. In 2017, it was a good year for bitcoin and other altcoins. Lets say it was a good start or introduction to investors. Many of the crytopcurrencies had increased their prices and people suddenly put their money in and joined the craze. I think many companies and business will implement digital coins this year.

the year 2017 is the year when bitcoin prices have a very signi fi cant value and right now I am not an expert on virtual currencies but I am reviewing some articles I read about the bitcoin predictions from Cryptocurrencies experts that they predict that the bitcoin price in 2018 will return a significant increase in this is due to the popularity of bitcoin that is increasingly known around the world. with the popularity of bitcoin owned, of course this will be more and more investors who will enter the world of Cryptocurrencies to invest in it. this of course will pump higher bitcoin prices. but it's all just a prediction because bitcoin prices are so pluctuative so I think we should not make predictions for a reference where we'll get more out of control. I think we still have to be careful in making decisions in doing activities in bitcoin so that we will not experience losses later.

I also think that 2018 will be the golden year of bitcoin and other cryptocurrency because as it price is pumping it also become more famous not only to other country but also in social media. I think if it become more famous there will be new investors to come and the price will pump.

It will btc won't satisfy many but alts are going to the moon for sure , it's only 4th of jan and nem , ada , xlm , xrp are already above a $1. These all traded at $0.1 in starting of december and see the price now.
The reason behind this is many are starting to learn about cryptos better last year they pumped btc but profit wasn't much so now they are pumping coins under $1.
My prediction is xrp and btc will be the coin of the year.

All of my coins are all green and they are just like btc recently and becoming unstoppable which is a good indication that 2018 is going to be the best year.

I think the crypto currency craze has already started even before 2018. Personally, what's worth looking into here will be how the other crypto currencies perform and if new players will come. Things as they are, I'm hopeful that this year will be better than the last in terms of trading and investment.

The cryptocurrency craze already started last 2017, this year is just continuation from last years event. We are expecting higher cryptocurrency value this 2018 since more investors are coming in.

I agree with you. in 2018 this bitcoin price has fallen more than $9k in just a few days. it is a very crazy change you know. not just bitcoin but almost all altcoin also experienced a crazy price drop as well. so this year it seems the worst thing for the history of crypto. but this year is still at the beginning. let's see what happen next. hope better price for crypto. as you say "people still learning and trying to get in bitcoin"

This is just the beginning of 2018, we can not predict what happens with crypto, I hope 2018 will be more crazy than the year 2017 yesterday, but the craze in terms of value increased not craze in terms of value decreased ..

I really believed that this year will be the cryptocurrency craze because there is no reason for that thing to not happen because we are already exposed to a lot of people and the cryptocurrency are now mainstream and the mainstream celebrities are now joining the bandwagon of this cryptocurrency so i think that there is no need for us to be negative.

Looking good so far. I'm thinking the cryptocurrency adoption rate is highest as of now. We might be at the peak. Do you know that Katy Perry posted a picture of her nail paint of cryptocurrency logo (LTC, XLM, etc). Katy Perry, a pop icon, promoting cryptoccurency in  2018. Who would've thought?!

I just hope that the innovation in cryptocurrency would last longer so we won't see any decline anytime soon. I'm not prepared for that yet. :D
