Title: Please only allow Donators,Hero members to make a thread in Groupbuy section Post by: escrow.ms on August 01, 2013, 07:42:43 PM As the title says Please only allow Donators, Hero members to make a new thread in Groupbuy section.
I have seen many member who joined bitcointalk this year making threads in group buy section to do scam. The problem is always the same. An old member is not always more trustworthy than a newbie. I tend to agree with this proposal though because I don't understand how people can throw 300BTC at a newbie, but I don't think it will be applied. Or it can be like Newbies/Members/Full members/Senior members = Escrow Mandatory. I mean allow them to make a group buy with escrow. There should probably be a sticky about the scams occurring in that section, and maybe they can add the red warning text to the group buy threads also. Remember everyone has his breaking (sale) point. If you can pull a 1000+BTC scam using a BTC 150 account, all good for you. I really don't like this idea, sorry. I'd rather have them forced into using escrow. Funds being sent to escrow, and final order performed by said escrow. Prefer stronger guidance to encourage due diligence - clear marking and advice on the threads preferably automatic also ways to discern escrow safety
