Title: 1070ti Issue
Post by: LSteve on December 30, 2017, 12:17:27 AM
Hi all,

I recently assambled a rig compossed of three EVGAS 1070tis FTW2 but at the moment currently two cards are mining. I have tried everything  and i think there is a situation with that particular card that doesnt work because I inserted the card on the PCIe slot where one of the functioning cards is and it still doesnt work. It turns on and the fans move slightly but not continuosly.

Thanks in advance!!!

Assuming you are running Windows, do all three cards show up in Device Manager?  Can you put the card in another machine to test it?  Do you have enough power to run all three cards?  If you don't have another computer to stick it in then take all the other cards out and put the non-working one in and see if it works by itself.  Then add the others one at a time if it does.

Thank you so much for your reply. No, im not running windows just smos on a USB drive. In terms of power i have a Evga 750W but i have two cards running with no problems and as stated before I replaced one of the cards that is working properly with the one  (Just running two cards) that isnt in that Pcie Slot and its showing the same issues (On slight movement from the fan).

So you suggest trying with just that card powered and see? i will do thanks. If that doesnt work what do you suggest? should i install windows and run device manager?

thanks!

Actually, you already answered your questions with this.

I replaced one of the cards that is working properly with the one  (Just running two cards) that isnt in that Pcie Slot and its showing the same issues (On slight movement from the fan).
And the title "1070ti issue" said it all.
Try the card in a different slot, that's the last thing you can try.

Is your card came with a replacement warranty?

Unfortunately i have tried it all at this point; last thing i did was plug on the Pcie slot of the Mobo without the riser and by itself and it didnt work . It is a brand new card bought less than a month ago on amazon so i would be able to return it for a refund.
