Title: Newbie restrictions Post by: bctjim on August 01, 2013, 07:41:33 PM Finding the reason why we can't post in other forums is challenging.. I wish it could be a lot easier to find instructions on how to be able to post/comment in other forums :-/
This is my first post.. and the system told me: Quote The last posting from your IP was less than 360 seconds ago. Please try again later. The spam prevention is a bit over the top.. but then again.. the spammers are over the top.. sigh. I waited 360 seconds.. and now it shows this: Quote You already submitted this post! You might have accidently double clicked, or tried to refresh. I checked to see if my comment exists.. and it doesn't.. what's going on here? Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: CrashX on August 02, 2013, 03:52:11 AM I get the same problem. So what I do I just wait for a bit before replying.
And "crtl+c" everything just in case. Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: growthcoin on August 02, 2013, 08:07:42 PM lol I want to ctrl + c everything too :)
Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: TBWorker on August 02, 2013, 08:09:15 PM 6 minutes of active browsing in between posts. Copying comments is a good idea, so you can post at the 6 minute mark.
Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: zccopwrx on August 02, 2013, 08:14:23 PM when does one become NOT a newbie so I can post in other sections??
Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: TBWorker on August 02, 2013, 08:20:48 PM 5 posts, and 4 hours on the forum.
Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: growthcoin on August 02, 2013, 08:37:58 PM 5 posts, and 4 hours on the forum. I have 8 posts and 4hr 40 mins, still can't post else where. This really sucks. Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: TBWorker on August 02, 2013, 08:40:32 PM Strange, it must have changed recently then......
Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: btcton on August 02, 2013, 08:43:49 PM You have to wait until you become a Jr. Member. You need to wait 4 hours after your first post, not after your registration.
Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: TBWorker on August 02, 2013, 09:07:45 PM And remember, it must be 4 hours active browsing, not just logged in with no actions
Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: btcton on August 02, 2013, 09:20:03 PM Also, check at the top where it says "Total time logged in:"
Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: jtkanpp2 on August 02, 2013, 09:51:31 PM And remember, it must be 4 hours active browsing, not just logged in with no actions This is good to know I thought it was just logged in time. Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: N8isGr8 on August 02, 2013, 11:25:10 PM I suppose these restrictions are for the good of the community. What's even worse though is that it seems like you can't even send PMs until you're a Jr. Member.
Now it's time for me to browse around the forums for 4 hours... Title: My interest is piqued! Post by: randrace on August 02, 2013, 11:51:02 PM 5 posts, and 4 hours on the forum. I have 8 posts and 4hr 40 mins, still can't post else where. This really sucks. What is it you're dying to post?!? Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: logicalogic on August 03, 2013, 01:00:29 AM I have to notify a pool that its not working and I too have these chat restrictions :(
Anyway since this is the only place I can post, something is way wrong with http://cmc.smalltimeminer.com/ It shows Next Network Block 51116 (Current: 51115) Last Block Found 51115 Current Difficulty 0.39236171 But other cosmos coin pools show: Next Network Block 51449 (Current: 51448) Last Block Found 51449 Current Difficulty 4.73429794 That and I never received the payout when I withdrew . Sucks for the miners on there wasting their hash Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: Arros on August 03, 2013, 02:10:41 AM I'm beginning to suspect the act of logging in is treated as "a reply" when the system count that 6 minutes.
Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: TBWorker on August 03, 2013, 04:09:10 AM I'm beginning to suspect the act of logging in is treated as "a reply" when the system count that 6 minutes. It is. You are not dreaming. Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: dfxygtreywa on August 03, 2013, 09:18:25 PM hope I get out of the newbiecage soon!

Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: yxzq on August 03, 2013, 09:41:08 PM It's funny to see all those new accounts posting useless replies to get verified :D
Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: CrashX on August 03, 2013, 09:45:57 PM 5 posts, and 4 hours on the forum. I been in this forum for around 24hours and allot of post/reply's and I'm still waiting 360secounds So Im not sure... Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: cryptasm on August 03, 2013, 10:09:27 PM I'm still locked into newbie purgatory, curses!
Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: uski on August 03, 2013, 11:52:33 PM This is a useless post to get past the useless protection against spammers ;)
Actually, I'm also having the problem that says "last activity < 360 secs". Not sure if this post will go through. Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: Jumpy on August 04, 2013, 02:59:50 AM I think all you need to do is start writing substantial posts to start getting whitelisted. If I understand the system correctly, moderators may look at your posts and whitelist you at their discretion. In this view, I don't think it does much good to make a topic about how you haven't been whitelisted yet.

Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: joejoecoin on August 04, 2013, 04:58:12 AM Well it can be wasted time in newbie "hold" or put to good use.
There are a lot of good links. Anybody have any favorites? I saw some links offering suggestions for properly setting up a bit coin business. I am looking for more links in this direction. All help appreciated! Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: TBWorker on August 05, 2013, 05:18:47 PM Just stay active and you shall be a member in no time
Title: Re: Newbie restrictions Post by: currentaddress on August 06, 2013, 07:17:16 AM I also experienced similar problem when I received 360 seconds message. Now I am trying once again lets see what happens?
