Behold the Bitcoin Deposit Card (BDC).  This card will be the exact same quality (weight, size and cut) as a regular credit card. 

On the front, this card will display your Public Wallet Address along with whatever name you want.  On the back, there will be the associated QR code for someone to scan if they want to send you bitcoins. Even though the picture below has straight edges, the final card will have curved corners just like a credit card.  The name will be embossed (raised effect).  Unfortunately, I could not emboss the Bitcoin Address because the embosser does not have lowercase letters.


Because I have to order these cards in a large allotment, I will offer a 1-week signup period.  You will have to provide the name for the card, the bitcoin address to be displayed, a shipping address for me to send it, and payment for the card.  I want to charge .05BTC  and I will pay for first-class postage in the US.

I am getting two more designs of this card ready and I plan to design a smaller card keychain-friendly card.

Let me know what you think about this.  I would like to hear your feedback before I start the signup process next week.

Great idea and looks nice.  Just not sure it needs the instructions though ("share this address... ", etc) - the card holder knows what it's for.

I would be happy to accept a card as and "review" the quality etc. for the forum. Will pay shipping if necessary. From what I can tell they do look very nice.

Small suggestions:

Place the name slightly higher on the card, so that it does not look as non-centered.

Replace the "share this address..." With: "Card holder Bitcoin Address"

Generally make sure that all "art and text" is equally distanced/spaced from the outer edge of the card. Anything else makes it look less 'genuine'

FUTURE OPTION:

I would like to see the option of ordering the cards as "high quality business cards" allowing for reverse side logo placement and user information (Name, address, company, email etc)

Are you in the States?

Just got off the phone with card printer, the card proof will cost me $150 and take 15 days to produce. That's obviously cost-prohibitive and would take far too long.

They are sending me physical samples by mail of similar cards to review the quality. I should have them by late this week or early next week.

Upon proper review of these samples, I plan to start the signup period here and on reddit.

I would be interested in working with someone who is more established on bitcointalk.org to verify my trustworthiness by reviewing the physical sample with me (I'll mail it to you) and seeing my correspondence with this company. Please let me know your thoughts.

I dig the first one a lot.  2nd seems a lil less detailed and rushed.  No offense of course, you're doing an awesome job.

i like the second one, it has a nice clean design to it, the other look too similar to banking/credit cards. better to look different!

Yes!  You'll have to cover a portion of the shipping though.  We can cover that soon.

The print cost is the same for all of them.  Just so you know, these are not business cards, they are deposit cards.  They look like a credit card you would keep in your wallet.

Maybe I should also do a business card setup too..... :-\

Well guys I'm still working hard to bring this card into fruition. 

I've stepped back and decided to give it my all and cut no corners.  Look out for updates here.

Looks great. I think if there is a black/silver version would make the card look much more premium-ish, you know how the bank gives you different status by the color of that card /wink

The first design is awesome. Is the magnetic strip going to actually serve any function? I suppose you could write the address on it but that would be rather redundant. I wish card writers weren't so expensive...that'd be a great place to put the private key.

I wouldn't pay $5 for it though, no offense lol. Be cheaper to just laser print on card stock and laminate it.
