Link the pipe as shown in the picture. (In winter the pipe would be hard, this work maybe is not easy to do. Don’t worry, dip the pipe to hot water for seconds things would be better)

Link the 2 fans, fan cover, wind scooper together with M4×90 screw and M4 nuts. (this time we used 2 ultra-quiet low speed fans to replace the original violent fans. Contact me, if you need Ultra-quiet fan.)

Very interesting post!  Have you been able to do this with any recent miner like a S9 or a 741?
I think one of the stumbling blocks could be the latest firmware that requires the jet-engine fans they come with.  You would need to figure out how to either fool the machine or replace the fan with something.

Nevertheless - it looks like an interesting project!

Sorry, I thought it was a S7 - my mistake.

I looked at it all again and it looks like this reused the existing fans so he did not have to solve the problem of the S9 expecting the factory fans to be there.
I will read more carefully next time, sorry.

That looks like an insane amount of work and money that you will never get back. Its interesting as a proof of concept but completely useless in the real world.

Not completely useless if it mitigates the heat effectively and is quasi-silent.

All heat mitigation solutions cost money.  But without cost specs and decibel facts, not sure how it stacks up against other cooling methods.

Its an industrial miner, the fans mitigate the heat just fine, sound should not even enter the equation.

You dont buy a Tesla and take it to an off road park.

You shouldnt buy industrial equipment and then run it in a residential environment.

Watercooling is mostly a gimmick for most miners today, they do have a niche but for the most part in their intended industrial environment there's no need for watercooling. Why bother investing additional money in watercooling when aircooling works just fine for 99% of modern miners? Just additional overhead. Most of us know about the Antminer C1 and how it worked- it was the first and last factory-watercooled miner from Bitmain, and for a good reason.

As with most concepts, the theory is good, the reality isn't. Water is the mortal enemy of these units. In an industrial setting, this concept is totally impractical and down right fatal to the business if one mistake causes water to get everywhere. Every board that gets touched with water is bricked and your investment is down the toilet. Air flow is how these units were meant to operate.

This is a false claim.

Water cooling is safe when you know how to do it properly.

In Russia they are actually taking advantage of the heat produced by miners, and they have built water cooled Bitfury-based miner (Sunrise series).
So those miners are not only mining btc, but also working as 'water boilers'.
See  RMC  (Russian Miner Coin) for more information about that case.
They have some pictures of the water cooling builds at their Facebook page.

Ja. As I've brought up before, I'd think miners supplying heat for thermal pool spa's would be a great way to go. Beats using only gas or electric as direct heat!

Water cooling is an excellent way to harvest the heat. You guys are laughing at this meanwhile it's -30 here tonight and I could heat my house with maybe 10-12 s9s. Then just dump the excess heat outside with a PID controlled fan/rad.

The cost you say? Tell that to people around here who have spent $40,000 on geothermal.

But there's no real use in an industrial setting unless you have an actual need for the heat.

I dont think it is smart either. One error and water leaks, damaging equipment and is a safety hazard. Dont forget, these things are run 24/7. I juz dont find it smart. The miners are alaays placed closely together. It could be a catastrophe if water leaks everywhere.

However, I am curious, at wat temperatures do they run at?

It would be a really nice project to grab some old Ant C1's, then upgrade them with some Hotmine (Bitfury 16nm) boards and hook them up to a bath tub via a heat exchanger.  :D

Few of those and you could even build a spa resort for people interested in Bitcoin.

If anybody is interested, you are free to use this as a business idea.  ;D

And if a mistake occurs, the customer gets electrocuted lol?? Yes, it is unlikely to occur but lapses do occur. It will be ok to do in a home setting I guess but laws in a commercial setting would prevent water being too close to electricity I would think. I suspect it wont pass safety standards in my country though. Juz my 2 cents thoughts anyways, not tryin to be disagreeable :)

That was mean't as a joke.

And you also might want to learn what is a heat exchanger.

The system would not be connected to a bath tub directly, but via a heat exchanger.

And I still stand at my point that water cooling is safe when you know what you are doing.

7 * 24 run for a month, did not found leaks yet, in fact security issues are easy to solve, you can choose non-conductive liquid

Nice Project.  Could you help us out a bit?

1) What is the model of water pump you're using?

2) Looks like custom water block solution.  Is it replicable for us?  How?  Can we buy them?

3) What is the operating temperature you're achieving?  Can you give us a screenshot?

4) Would love to know how loud the entire rig is.  Surely the water pump makes noise, and the fans on the radiator make noise as well?

Looks like a great project, but I'd like to see the real results for "Frozen & Quiet."  If it's true, I'd be the first one to buy 8 miners worth!  It's either that, or I'm dunking them in mineral oil with a radiator.  I can't seem to find anyone anywhere who's successfully cooled 8+ Antminer S9's with mineral oil, water cooling, or anything else portable.

I've got free utilities in my apartment and want to find the best way to get this done in a small footprint that's rather contained!
I'm very sorry to respond to you so long, always been busy recently, put this post to forget :(
1 . I use a small centrifugal pump, the model is SC-750, syscooling products
2 . You can contact syscooling at https://syscooling.en.alibaba.com/
3 . screenshot here https://s1.ax1x.com/2018/01/26/pq0jEQ.png
4 . SC-750 pumps and low-speed fans on the radiator are all very quiet and I think they are negligible; the miner fans speed dropped to 700 and 1300 RPM, the noise goes down too.

We have three ideas:
1.Reduce machine noise and temperature
2.improve the life of mining machine
3.Use the heat transferred to do something else

This is also a good way to dissipate heat, maybe I would make a study of it.
mainly aspects are cooling oil and dust-free environment.
