A second identical rig will be completed this week. All of the outlets in my mining room are connected to a 20amp breaker. Typically, how many watts can safely be pulled through one breaker. Post by: Vann on December 31, 2017, 04:41:53 AM It depends if you are running on 120V or 240V. A breaker is rated for a maximum 80% of the capacity for a continous load.

Post by: starrbuck on December 31, 2017, 04:42:51 AM 20 amps x 120 volts = 2400 watts. You can only load up to 80% of the stated rating, so a 20 amp circuit at 120 volts (80%) will handle 1920 watts.

Like the others said, that 2nd rig will put you at your limit for one breaker. just run those guys at a lower TDP and you'll be fine. Plan on hiring an electrician to come in and add another breaker and outlets. I don't plan on running more than 18 cards, so what should I shoot for in terms of breaker size? |
