So I have some ripple that I bought a while back and now with the price at $2 it looks like a nice time to sell the ripple for BTC (escpecially with BTC so low) Also what do you guys think of ripple I've read a bunch of good and bad things about it what are the pros and cons of ripple

Yes in my opinion. Just look at the chart and you will see ho fast it increased. Every coin that increased this fast make a correctin in price.
You will want to look at the previos dates and you will see the same thing happened in May. I was trading XRP and XLM in that day and I lost all my gains waiting further increase in price. But it is your decision in the end.

This should be your decision and not be influenced by anyone else.  Whatever you decide to do, always be happy with your profits.  

I think you should hold a little more. If you look at the market cap of Ripple (XRP), it stands at around $10.3bln. Although the rise is over 4,000% price rise in a year, it has a more stable rise.
I think it will still continue to rise.

yes,, i think this is the highest price of Ripple and you should sell it first, and there you can buy back at 10k sat or 12k sat.. ripple coins are good progress.
in 1 month move very fast, from 4k sat up to 17k sat.. great coin

If your issue is btc ripple, i think their are some trading sites that trades direct dollar to ripple. Im sure their a lot of sites out their but at least you can try if you concern is only btc to ripple.

We are on the same situation too which I have purchases ripple on below $1 price too which If I decide to sell off now then it would really give me some decent amounts. I have still having doubts on doing such thing because there are really some good news on first month of 2018 which would even give more price increase on xrp and maybe that's the time I will sell off my coins.Its case to case basis though since If I see chances of selling it out then I will surely do it.

Wait a little bit, it seems another jump in the ripple will come. as the market will be recovering again as fast as possible. a little candle already appeared which mean there's a possibility the price back again.
But you can try to sell some of your amounts if you are feeling doubt about that.

I will advice you that sell some Ripple at this level of above 2.20$ and buy again very small quantity when it fall and comes at 1.40-1.50$ because it jumped more that 500% in last 10 days so its possible to come down at this level.And as you seen that Ripple connects banks, payment providers, digital asset exchanges and corporate via RippleNet to provide one friction less experience to send money globally.Its future looks very bright so you can buy more quantity as your choice for more profit.

Long-term, I think Ripple will top $1 trillion cap - the potential is huge.
Short-term is the question though - XRP has a history of rapid rises followed by long periods where the price doesn't move much. Obviously if you can time this well, ride each upward rise and then ride up on another coin when XRP isn't moving, then you can dramatically increase your profit. Easier said than done, but I would say whatever you do, the long-term aim should be to accumulate more XRP.

i failed on all my predictions about xrp. But if i were you i would definetely sell. This price for xrp is very unpredictable and due to it has so high circulating supply, anything can happen anytime. We can watch a very fast dump as we witnessed before.

HODL it like every people are doing these days if you dont need money for now theres no reason to sell it Im sure price of ripple will give a huge return next year but if you decided to sell it for profit then youre good to go.

Really depends on you. Few days ago I decided to buy XRP since it seems that it is on the rise but then again I think it'll have some correction soon just like any other coins on the crypto market so I didn't continue. If you are positive with XRP rising then don't sell, if you are not I think $2 isn't that bad for a profit like others are saying, don't be greedy  ;)

Personally, I sold 30% when the price began to rise, another 30% sold at the top of the price. There are 40% left. I'll hold them for a while. If the price increases, then I will sell more if I fall, then I will lose only 40% in price. This is my personal opinion, but all the high-profile news is over and the price will go down.

It has banks on it's back so if you don't want to be eaten by these banks soon that will dissolve your profit then you should start selling today. $2 isn't a bad price for ripple if you bought thousands of it when it was still on cents way back then. And after selling it then you can just get some bitcoins while it's also down for today so that you have both profit and at the same time you got a nice entry to bitcoin.

ı am not agree with the people who says ripple can not be higher than its actual value.

As for me, I would hold it for a minimum of 2 to 3 years and may not touch it before that. I only bought a few when it was still at $0.78, and regretted when I decided to ignore it while price is at between $0.18 to $0.20. The reason why I want to hold my XRPs is because I believe that this undervalued coin would skyrocket to the moon in many years to come.

It may begin the momentum once XRP is added to Coinbase and other similar exchanges out there.

It actually depwnds on you whether you sell it or not so long as your purpose of buying ripple has been met and you are satisfied with it then go. Despite of the fact that Ripple has shown a significant growth in price and now there are a lot of news likes it will fall now because such price increase is due of some traders who have pumped and dumped Ripple to make short term profits etc etc. I think you should wait a little more, there are high chances that it could rise further more in price.

The price of Ripple will not crash immediately. It looks suspicious how the price increased so hard and fast, so many expect the price to fall soon. As Ripple is a bankers thing, some people dislike it and think it's just pump 'n dump. On the other hand, if banks can have faster transactions thanks to Ripple, they will push it.

Yea I was thinking of selling it mainly because of the bad things I read about it being decentralized it's backed by banks I firmly believe the banks should gtfo of our world and it is more of a moral issue holding a coin that will ultimately keep those people in power. At least that is my understanding of ripple correct me if I'm wrong about that?

There is nothing pros for ripple as much as I and others can see, who would have the balls to support such banksters supported coin when the main point of the crypto-currency  is to get rid of the banks power. If you want long term profit then hold , ripple can grow more. But for me it's best way to sell since im not into Ripple :P bitcoin price will rally soon. Invest and hold in a coin you believe, short term and quick profit is nice but long term would really give you good amount of profit if you have the patience to wait and witness its growth.

Well I think you should sell only half of your ripple not all of it. Ripple will continue to grow in the start of 2018 and you must hold it to benefit more of the price hike that will happen.

yes this could best option sell half of it and use it to investin other coin. i would invest in iota cause iota seems to be different than other coin cause they not using blockchain as way of  doing transaction and didnt have a miner. investing in iota seems like a gambling. for sure it will increasing significantly or it will not at all. but investing iota is a good option i think so far and its seems safier. rather than invest on pump dump new coin.

Great question. I think that Ripples current value includes every possible good thing happening to the coin. Any bad news or simply a lack of confirmation of the expectations will harm the price. However, I would not invest in Bitcoin.

If you are contented with your gains why not? every bull needs a corrections so if you are happy with your gains sell it.

My friend, I have learned that in this volatile and unpredictable market you should not "fall in love" with any currency and you should sell it as soon as you have an adequate profit margin to your interests. It is true that you run the risk that ripple could eventually grow more, but if you do not plan to use that coin as a means of payment and only use it to speculate, you should not worry about that, as you will undoubtedly find a thousand more coins to continue speculating with them.

I would advice you to keep at least 50% of your ripple holdings. A half of hodings you can fix, other part keep in a wallet, i use one on githab. Im sure in 2-3 years you will be surprised. XRP - is not hyip , that is really coin with technology and will be in demand from banks.

For me i will sell off my ripple, just take back your initial capital and just put your profit with ripple.
Example:
Let say i bought $1000 ripple at $1, so i got 1000 unit of ripple. I sell off my ripple 500 unit at $2, and i already take back my initial capital. And the another 500 unit of ripple just leave it there. Then i will buy another coin with my $1000 again and do the same thing again. By then i got a lot type of coin including bitcoin.

I usually sell my coins partly when their prices go high. I recommend you do that way as well. Then you can buy again if the price drop. In this case you will not be so upset if it goes higher and the opposite case you can increase your coin amount.

I think it is a question of how much do you need it and why are you selling it. If it is urgent and needed and the price is high and right. There is nothing to worry if you want to sell it. On the other hand if it is not that important keep it. Anyway the price is always increasing it might fluctuate but nothing to worry it is always there.

Selling Ripple right now to buy BTC would be like shooting yourself in the foot. Research the company, look at the potential for 2018 and you will see this is just the tip of the iceberg. Should you sell all your Ripple? I wouldn't do that all in one go even if it has made a stellar profit. First of all sell enough to cover your initial investment. It that was really low amount then sell 50% of them you will have made a great profit and leave some that have cost you nothing to see what the future brings.

I have held Ripple since 19c with a further buy in at 74c when it dipped from about 92c. I have a healthy low average and am nicely in profit with this coin. I thikn it has further to go and as it's a small part of my portfolio I am not worried about it day to day. Maybe consider selling 80% and leave 20% free and clear to see if it can double from current levels

For me, yes if you already get some profit on it. I don’t want you to be a FOMO (Fear for missing out) but personally, if you already get pretty much profit on it you can let it go, wait for the dip and trade it again. It is just a cycle. I realy don't believe in any coins but as long as a coin is Listed in exchange sites then i should not be worry at all, volatility is normal. Selling when you are satisfied,but i dont recommend to hold it for long new additional supply will be released in the near future,that will cause the price to go down.

XRP is a good coin though its centralized but I see this it will continue to soar higher in the coming years. ripple is a very stable cryptocurrency.its not a coin for get short term profits.for get maximum profit you should hold it for long time.project was started 5-6 years ago and it remains very low price for long time(its about 0.2 usd during last early December)to my mind this is just a beginning of bull run of ripple.there may be some downtrend in near future it is the nature of any cryptocurrency.but im sure this will go moon during 2018 and even it can be reached to usd 100 with in next couple of years.ripple is a centralize currency.large proportion of ripple holding by leading banks of world.so its currency with very strong backbone and huge marketcap.also so many events and news are scheduled to come in next few months.so dont be fool.hold it for long time.happy future

If you have some ripple and you want to take advantage of ripple high value as of the moment, maybe you can sell some but don't sell all. Or better yet, try to hold them for a while maybe it will continue to rise and you will have better profit than now.

if you sell your ripple at that time you just lost some dollar because currently the price is more than $3.4
there are some pros and cons in ripple because what it want to achieved is to be supported by bank and not decentralization

Well its up to you if you have a lot, I suggest for you to sell half and hold the other or just get your capital. Ripple is like a mystery to me since I'm not in the business yet when this was released. Well, I'm really interested   with this coin - currently, it is pumping but I'm planning to buy some.
