As I scroll thru the pages the bearish posts are starting to dominate. Before it was much more green lights than red lights.

Sure, end of the year is always a bit bearish for btc.

You got tons of people needing the money so willing to sell.
You got people taken back by the end of the year taxes.
Overall anyway you have all those people who invested after the major growth of black friday but didn't do it for any rationnal reason, just because price was getting higher.

It's no problem if btc goes to 10k. It would be good in fact. BTC was 8k 2 months ago, let us rejoice it has safely secured a 25% growth in less than a quarter! we shouldn't say price is going down, we should say price is stabilizing above a +25% fain from few months ago.

That's simply not true. Last end of the year wasn't bearish for btc, and the previous one wasn't either. So, I don't know why so many of you guys keep repeating that ad nauseam. You only need to look at the trends in previous years, but if you keep insisting, I'd expect some data to back what you say.

Notting serious is happening than people trying to get some profits from the previous bullish trend. Bitcoin as a dominant crypto currencies has loss about 45% of it last month gain and the losses is now affecting others altcoin. I think the bullish trend will resume by January as this is what happens last year.

Good. The sooner people get their bearish tendencies out of their system, the sooner we'll reach the bottom. I personally believe it's still too early to call the bear market in though.

Yep, just like end of 2013 was bearish :)

BTW end of 2016 was nothing but bearish, it finished within $50 of the all-year high on the last trading day, so its not a pattern at all.

And this sort of posts just help fuel the self-fulfilling prophecy! But I guess that's how it works, isn't it. Back up many months and the forum was full of hyperventilating people asking what the next high would be, buying signals on every trading view and those famous curve charts regurgitating in various forms on various TA charts. That prompted the bull run as much as anything else.

And now we've climbed the peak we're moving down the slope, pushed on by the same group of hyperventilators. So the crypto winter starts, but we're all dug in and ready to wait it out, aren't we now? Hope your fiat's ready to buy at these levels!

When you have a bull market for so long, it is natural for a bear market to follow. Lots of people seem to have been caught up in the hype, without actually appreciating the value or lack of value that bitcoin may possess.

We are still far away from being in a bear market. This is correction after crazy Fomo buying over a longer period of time.
The overall trend is still pretty bullish. Zoom out and look at the chart. To go full bear we would have to drop significantly!! Even at $5k we would still be very bullish.

Everyone needs a break... Even crypto market is 24/7, it's still driven by people and most people around the world are enjoying holidays with family and friends, no fresh money to inject and price is slowly going down, I would not worry too much about that.

Let's wait and see how the beginning of 2018 will look like.

That's because everyone on Tradingview who trades crypto and follows supposed TA is full of shit. Like sheeple they all follow each other's TA, which has been proven time and time again to be a complete farce.

I hope they all open up mega shorts in the new year and get burned. It will teach them a lesson.

Bearish sentiment on Tradingview is there since BTC was added to it.

9 in 10 charts are bearish and predicting crashes, which never happen.

Most people who deals in stocks are envious of bitcoin holders and this transpires in their "analysis".

it's a dangerous period. BTC lacks the new fresh buying power coming into the market as FOMO is over.
i personally would not recommend people from short selling BTC however it's also not advisable to add to positions now.

And they are always showing not-well analized charts, or most of them are never going to be a succesfull analysis, they all are a mess, the most good analysers in there are just teenager's of less than 15 YO.

We all know that bitcoin has been a chaos during the last few days, more than a week, but the price is recovering right now.

It was less than $12500 a few days ago, and now it is $14400, i think that it is a good price for the end of the year.

Why should we give the slightest shit what a bunch of nobody pipsqueaks think? If it falls it falls. We'll be none the wiser because of any squiggles they put out looking for approval.

I thought NiceSoft had put a short on BTC starting ~13k?

Now he is bullish?

When TradingView says BTC will go down, I get optimistic.

A dangerous period indeed, but I'm not sure about FOMO being over. BTC turned a lot of heads when it broke USD 10,000,-, many of which likely didn't take positions yet due to the madness of the last few weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the money that missed the (close to) USD 20,000,- train is watching from the sidelines right now, waiting for the right time to enter the market.

You mean what always happens around this time in January?
