Title: good dedicated server, payable with bitcoin? Post by: marilyn4325 on December 31, 2017, 01:01:39 PM Which company provides dedicated servers, min 16 GB RAM and 500 GB RAID 1 harddisk, and unmetered internet connection, with good support?
I ordered one from black.host yesterday, payment was successful, but it says still "pending". Support doesn't answer since yesterday. I know it is holidays, but I don't care, I need 365x24 support, if something is wrong with my server. Not a good start. Title: Re: good dedicated server, payable with bitcoin? Looks good, except for the bandwidth limitation. Their TOS says "bandwidth usage that exceeds the allowance shall be billed at $0.20 USD per GigaByte". If I get DDoS'ed, I could go bankrupt :o Title: Re: good dedicated server, payable with bitcoin? Hostwinds: https://www.hostwinds.com/dedicated.php 2. THCServers: https://www.thcservers.com/dedicated-servers Did a quick search and both happen to have positive and negative reviews. I ordered one from black.host yesterday, payment was successful, but it says still "pending". Support doesn't answer since yesterday. Can you check to see if the transaction has confirmations?Title: Re: good dedicated server, payable with bitcoin? Can you check to see if the transaction has confirmations?I got a payment confirmation eMail and it shows up as paid in the webinterface. But the server is still shown as "pending", and still no answer on my support ticket. I think I won't pay a second month. Title: Re: good dedicated server, payable with bitcoin? Post by: marilyn4325 on January 01, 2018, 10:28:01 AM After 2 days, my black.host server is still pending:
https://i.imgur.com/IqXc7aU.png I might try one of these servers with limited traffic, maybe they are better. I can always configure Linux to limit the bandwidth so that I don't use more. Once I had a VPS at http://orangewebsite.com and their support was always very fast and helpful, setup was fast as well. But a bit more expensive. I guess you get what you pay for. I heard that black.host is very expensive, I found a bit of research with server companies accepting payments with Bitcoin. www.whoishostingthis.com/compare/bitcoin/I ordered one from black.host yesterday, payment was successful, but it says still "pending". But thanks for the list, some interesting offers. Title: Re: good dedicated server, payable with bitcoin? Post by: marilyn4325 on January 04, 2018, 08:24:07 PM Finally black.host managed to setup my server. They said that the one I bought was not available anymore, but they offered me a good other server, slightly more expensive. Works good so far. Hopefully this was just some start problems and now it works all without problems.
