Title: Looking for detailed info on miner Monitoring software
Post by: jmichael99 on December 31, 2017, 03:24:29 PM
a friend and myself are considering setting up a mining farm at a remote location. With the amount of miners we want we can't use our house.

Considering the S9 and AvalonMiner.  Most likely the S9.  Im looking for remote monitoring  software that I can see all the details for the miners form my house or when im away.

If possible I would love to have text and/or email alerts for temps going to high, hardware failure, etc.  and a remote shutdown options.

Is this possible?

There are also other programs that you can find in the software section. The support team on this
program is very active here on the forum. Take a look through the thread, and see the comments
and questions of other users. Goodluck!!!

Recommend Awesome miner as well. You can monitor and control up to 5000 gpus and asics. They also have a cloud service and can be run through open vpn.  I restart and switch pools on my s9's from my phone, while at starbucks...

Did you have to change it on every machine or just change it in awesome miner and it takes care of changing each machine?

Save yourself a lot of time and just go to the Awesome miner thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=676942.0)...
Rather good place to find out all you  want to know about it.

As long as the miners are able to respond it works great. Be aware that some miner faults such as from a very brief power glitch causing the PSU to momentarily trip off will require a hard power-reset to clear. That said, lots of RiPi/Audroni based remote power switches on the net for sale.
