Title: Altcoin mining like Bitcoin in 2009 - 2010 Post by: niotib on December 31, 2017, 04:29:23 PM I've heard that Bitcoin mining was very easy & profitable at the beginning stage. So, what I want to know... is there an Altcoin today it's possible to mine easy as Bitcoin in 2009 - 2010?

You could solo mine full blocks with a laptop back then and still CPU solo mine in 2011. Since currently GPU rigs and ASIC are the standard for POW mining, it's no longer possible for CPU's to compete effectively. So it's much harder and much more expensive to mine now compared to when BTC began.
