In what EU country do you live in? Depending on the country, you will also have to pay tax, or not.

What’s happened is that people were legally obliged to pay tax, but it was upon them to declare it or not. And they could or could not get caught. What’s happened in the US is that Coinbase has been ordered to report data on some users, so those users will get caught if they haven’t been declaring.

Everything seems to point to a future direct sending of data from exchanges to governments.

My country is around 20 years behind :D we don't have any crypto-currency laws. Our government don't react on crypto-currencies. I was just curious cuz it is US based company no my country based company and we don't have any laws about this and our government don't care about crypto-currencies so than i don't have to pay taxes. Am i right ?

Belgium is considering a 33% tax on BTC exchanges. 33%, can you believe that? :s

Edited to add: I was told that European law prohibits paying taxes on currency exchanges. Too bad BTC is not an official currency here.

There are very few countries in Europe (I think zero  ;D) where you don't have to pay taxes on your income.  Talk to an accountant in your country!  You don't want to take any chances with the law.

Income tax is a fraud. You have to pay tax for your own work? With your own tools? What the hell did the government provide to help you? It's no different than the protection taxes used by mobsters in the past.

My country doesn’t have laws on cryptos either, but we do have to pay tax, so you’d better do some research. What has happened in my country is that some lawyers asked legal binding questions to the “tax department” of the government (dirección general de tributos). What they answered is of legal compliance, so something similar may have happened in your country.

What do you have against fire departments, street lights, highways and grade schools? If we eliminate taxes are you going to pay for those things? No, you won’t because you’re a sociopath that hates society. The rest of us have to threaten you to make you pay your share. We do that by using taxes. LOL
