Title: Your favorite quotes
Post by: WEB slicer on August 03, 2013, 06:02:29 AM
Please share. This is what i got......

An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.
Fuck me once fuck you. Fuck me twice fuck me.
Your worst enemy is yourself.
Freedom from desires leads to peace.
Two wrongs dont make a right.
You are a product of your environment.
My morals mean more to me than any money or success.
There is nothing to fear but fear itself.
Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darkness of other people.
Life doesn't require that we be the best, only that we try our best.
Treat others the way you want to be treated.
That best portion of a man's life is his little unremembered acts of kindness and love.
You live what you learn.
The best way of removing negativity is to laugh and be joyous.

You humans love your pain, don’t you? You just love bein’ in it. You even consider it a virtue. Cry the most at a funeral, you must be the best person. You promise to never forget each other. You promise to feel the sting of loss forever. Because for y’all, “forever" is just the blink of an eye. Your lives are pathetically brief. When we say “forever," we have to mean it. So we move past our pain. We heal. We move on. Because pain, is a worthless emotion. ~Pamela Swynford De Beaufort  True Blood

"Climb a mountain, find a tree, carve a hole in it, whisper the secret into the hole and cover it up with mud." - From two different movies, each related. The origins are likely a Chinese proverb.

As spoken in one of the movies: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubJ09At2Pnk

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

- Epicurus [341–270 B.C.]

“Man surprised me most about humanity.Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money.
Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”

- Dalai Lama XIV

It means, you can only get to Heaven by first admitting to being a sinner.  If you're not a sinner, there's no place for you in Heaven, as you are only kidding yourself into thinking you could be a good person without God--or so I interpret religion, I don't believe any of this :P  So naturally, it is the one who wishes to do the worst, vile things, who would look best while cast under a holy light.

Okay fine you caught me, I was just inverting your quote ;)

I had every intention of posting a wise, yet smart ass reply.
