Title: Generated, not accepted - old wallet Post by: bamnet on January 02, 2018, 12:33:40 AM It's been nearly 7 years since I did anything serious with Bitcoin, I've forgotten nearly everything since then. I fired up Bitcoin Core and pointed it at an old wallet.dat I had laying around. There's a transaction I don't understand. Can someone help me understand it?
Status: 0/unconfirmed, not in memory pool Date: 7/11/10 22:21 Source: Generated Credit: (not accepted) Net amount: 0.00000000 BTC Transaction ID: c101a7743... Transaction total size: 134 bytes Output index: 0 Does this mean that back in 2010 I was mining (sounds right) and generated some blocks that didn't get accepted by the network? Since the blockchain has moved on it's no way for me to get any btc out of it? Title: Re: Generated, not accepted - old wallet Post by: odolvlobo on January 02, 2018, 01:19:39 AM My guess is that you mined a block that was orphaned. Orphaned blocks don't earn bitcoins.
