In my opinion Bitcoin will not be the future of the world's financial payment for the small size of the block 1MB blocks, making it difficult to confirm by the miner's and delay compared to other systems such as MasterCard and visa, which processes more and in a faster time and opens the way to other currencies with strong projects Such as ethereum and the blockchain of  Smart Contract, and also we have XRP, the central bank assest that everyone thinks is a currency and which will control future banking transactions
The big bitcoin will be a benchmark for major economies and the strength of countries will be measured by what they own

ethereum is one of the weakest projects filled with problems. and as far as scaling goes, it is even worse than bitcoin.

Bitcoin is not a currency first, it's a store of value first, it's an investment asset class. And it's doing quite well with that purpose!


Ethereum isn't a monetary currency. Ethereum is a currency of computing power over the Ethereum blockchain. So you'll never see Ethereum being offered as an acceptable payment for a cup of coffee or a laptop computer or a car. The only competition Ethereum poses to Bitcoin is as an investment.


BrewMaster, you're cutting the value of XRP way too short. Yes, we have MasterCard and Visa which allows people to buy goods and services instantly. But we don't have a system that allows for financial transactions between bank accounts or entities where a purchase of a good or service is not part of the transaction. Further, MasterCard and Visa have limits on how much each person can spend and incredible fees to go along with it.

If MasterCard and Visa were so great, why does it take 3 days for me to pay my MasterCard or Visa bill once I've clicked "pay" from their website? Because our financial  payments system is stuck in the 1980s.

Currently, the fastest way to send $10,000 from New York City to London is to get on a plan and fly it there! Ripple will change this as its system allows these transactions and payments to clear in seconds, not days!

Bitcoin is not a mainstream currency and it does not have the characteristics of a currency. It is mainly a store of value so I don't expect it to be the future of the payment system in any way. Even though bitcoin was initially introduced to become a seamless online payment system but we have diverted from that goal long back. Bitcoin has now became an investment asset which has outrun all other investment asset in last few years in terms of return.

 So for me bitcoin's future looks bright with some modifications in place. The lightening network currently being tested on the testnet amd if it can be implemented in bitcoin network, no other coins will have the ability to overrun it.

I totally agree with it, bitcoin transactions nowadays are too slow. Bitcoin is not really used for transactions, some people use bitcoin as an investment. People are not using bitcoin for transactions, they are hoarding bitcoin to gain profit.

Try to be more specific, we all know that Visa can handle more than 20k transactions at the same time, but the transactions that bitcoin can make will increase a lot during this year if the LN gets implemented soon.

I think BTC has a future.
It is the only payment coup and the BTC has arrived in the financial world and is accepted. The problems with the fast transactions will be solved with Lightning.

The main reason people are buying alts right now is they want to same 1000% returns early adopters of bitcoin got.  X, whatever it is, is too much to pay for bitcoins.  But when enough of these icos and alts turn out to be scams, then the crypto markets will decline or crash, and people will come back to the trusted few coins that have a solid history behind them such as bitcoins and litecoin.  There are lots of good alts, but whether they they are still around in 5 years is anyone's guess.  I am pretty sure that bitcoins will be here in the future either way.

Yes, nobody can predict the future of bitcoin, everyone (bitcoin owner) only believes in case of higher demand from the offer, then the bitcoin price will rise. And then the future of bitcoin will be better

Yes the price of bitcoin is unpredictable and no one knows when it goes down or goes up. But I believe that many people want to join in bitcoin and they want to invest . People are optimistic thinker that price of bitcoin will rise.

The price of bitcoin is unpredictable. Value of bitcoin like rollercoaster up and down,  but dont lost hope and believe cause bitcoin continues rise, and grow in the whole world.
