Title: 10 card rig with nvidia and amd unable to use msi afterburner
Post by: BestSumo on January 02, 2018, 11:21:25 PM
I have a 10 card rig with 2x rx580, 5x 1070ti, and 3x1070. The cards all mine fine, but I can not undervolt or overclock the amd cards. They show up in MSI Afterburner, but their drivers are missing and all their settings are greyed out. They can mine, but I feel they are running to hot and I can not undervolt them nor can I see their temperatures in Afterburner.

I've spent an hour googling this to no avail. Please help.

MSI Afterburner maxes out at 8, if I recall correctly. I'm not sure if exceeding that limit breaks it (which is what you seem to be observing), or if it will still allow you to adjust settings for 8 of those installed.

Try Nvidia Profile Inspector  ;)

use regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

There you find your AMD cards and change the value EnableUps from 1 to 0. You can also check EnableCrossfire, if the value is 1, you can change it to 0 (you will save some precious h/s)
