Title: Direct Messages from ICO
Post by: Phalo on January 03, 2018, 12:08:08 AM
I have been receiving direct messages from individuals advertising ICOs. Do these qualify as spam, because to me they sure feel like it? Can I report these?

Yes you can report these, and you should report these (most people do anyways) :) They will get banned when you do so.

I just leave a quick negative trust rating on them saying they're spamming people so that others can also see.

Yeah, I've been getting a number of these over the past few weeks, but I usually just ignore them. I think they do qualify as spam though since they're unsolicited messages.

From the past 3 or 4 months we do find the more ICO messages from the ICO owners and their managers. You will find the more people earning with the ICO initiation and scamming us with the non promising ICO.
I am not sure where you have to complain this issue. Whenever people find the scam attempt they complain about the issue with the reference link in scam and accusation section. There moderators use to reply with the possible solution. So try there.

Yes I have been receiving a few over the Christmas period.

I just report them, sadly they just create another one as a dummy account and start sending again.
