So I bought Ripple about 5-6 months back. Average buy price was under 8K Satoshi, and now today I have sold all for around 15K Satoshi.

Do you think its a good trade? Do you think I should have waited more?
And do you think it has returned well for the amount of time invested in it?

Good for you. I don't recommend holding for too long it can go down as fast as it went up. Risky investment. I sold mine after it crossed $2, don't plan on going back in.

Doubling money on large cap sounds good.  Ripple seems to have exploded on the belief the banking industry will use it for their own backend inter-bank transfers.  I believe the banking industry will develop and deploy their own, private alternative to real long term implementation.  But then I thought they'd do the same with Linux to save themselves billions in software licences, so what do i know.

i think this is good trade, ripple is stable so this the best trade, but i think if you hold this for next 1 month then you can get more better profit, by the way its not bad trade.

I think this is very sensible, because Ripple has risen to an almost beyond the position of the currency, so the possibility of future continue to rise may be very low, so throw investment than other tokens.

We can all agree that Ripple is overpriced and that the hype around it is not justified because banks eventually will find their own solutions or alternative solutions. But that still doesn't mean it can be $10 tomorrow... This market is not a rational market.

It was a good trade i think. Because you increased your bitcoin quantity in your portfolio. And Bitcoin price increased too much during this 5 6 months. So you did something better than holding bitcoin  :)

You got a profit that's already good. Although it seems that Ripple has prospects for growth, but apart from him there are many more coins in which you can invest. So any experience is useful, especially the one where you stayed in the black. In general, there's no point in getting stuck in the past and worrying that you did something wrong than the dude who threw out his hard drive with private keys. The price of ripple now was move stable did not pump up again, maybe you have a right decision sold out ripple and replaced other altcoin maybe wave or litecoin for long term investment. These coins have a potential for long term investment.

Doing double the money you invested is a good proffin in any investment. I cant think of a bussines that can bring you that kind of proffit in this small time frame. Now it is important that you invest in another project that you believe in and thank god you have a lot of good ones to choose from. Anyway i believe ripple will fall down because this pump is done artificialy by banks and it will not have a future. Ripple is not a good investment from my point of view because it is used by whales and are taking advantage of regular investors.

You sold too early and I think one has to hold long to really make it big in this market. Ripple will probably reach $20 before end of this year and holding what you have should be one of the best decision to make  now. I have sold my litecoin and lisk too early last year and I am now regretting that actions.

I think that's the right thing to do as long as you earn even when I sell you for a very long time or time you wait for it to increase bitcoin, just as price increases are fast but I think it will increase the ripple coin is still so much today that it has invested in it and it is rising now. So you should also have a ripple of your ripple so you can sell it again when you have more money for extra income.

XRP is not safe investment for a long term. Lots of traders lost a lot of money dealing with ripple. I myself stay away from it and looking for more advanced altcoins instead. Many other great projects to focus on like Envion, SingularityNET, EOS, IOTA and few more.  ;)

I too doubled my money on XRP.  I sold 1/2 which I bought at .59 and then I moved that 1/2 to ADA(.52) and TRX(.03).  Two good moves for me...so far.

I'm new but I'm learning fast.  If I'm not taking the profits and literally putting them in my pocket, I'll have some idea where the "sold" money goes next...always searching for my next "mark"!

i think ripple is the only token/coin/currency that divides the community here.

Yes you did mistake. Ripple is a long term investment. Like buy and forget it. I sold half of mine and keeping half.

This was surely a bad decision just imagine few months back ripple had a price below  $0.01 which means if it took 3 months for you 8k which had a usd value of $0.003 or something to 15k at $2 imagine if the price becomes $10 you can easily make a higher profit.

Why: XRP was under 6000sat around August so I think that's when you bought them, BTC was around $4k at that time. So BTC went about 4x since then and you did another 2x on top of that!

Well i think you need to extend the time you held your Ripple. There rumors that coinbase will add xrp and there abig companies that back and pump it. There is a potential that it will increase this year. I think you should waited for a while to sell it.

It's better you sold all your Ripple and invest it into other Altcoins that has good price increase. There are a lot of coins that will give you high return of investments like Oyster and Clout. Or you can check top coin that are gainers of the day or of the week through coinmarketcap.com. Investing good coins are better than Ripple in my own opinion.

Ripple has less increase due to 100 Billion coin supply so even if there's more investments coming in it only increases a little bit, maybe a dollar in every week or less. Low coin supply coins are definitely better because they're limited and if it's limited while the demand is high then surely the increase is high also.

got into ripple in march 2017, sold half at 2 usd. Kept half just in case people go crazy and buy even more at this prices, and maybe those wall street bonuses went for ripple. Crazy mcap calculation.

You did the right thing. You bought this coin and sold it, getting a good profit. The main thing to take profits and not to be greedy.

Think about it like that.
You have made an huge profit as the BTC price went up thousends percents since you sold your ripple, and also, after the price of ripple reached the price that you sold it off for, it went down again, so actually if you wouldn't have sold it at that time, then you maybe would sell it at a much smaller price.

I never trust the sincerity of ripple Project and I can't hold it in long term honestly. That's why I also would get rid of it once I have some profit. It's not a must for me to have in my portfolio and the supply in ripple is a bit problematic as you all know.

That's not bad. But you could have waited for some more time. This is just beginning of the rise of Ripple's price. Just now, it is getting in to  main stream as more banks have started accepting ripple for transactions. We could expect some more time for its price to continue to increase as its price rise is not due to pump and its actually due to increase in demand.

Giftz is really interesting and promising. I have read their whitepaper and joined their telegram group and bought a bunch of ITC in the end of last year. Their BlockV alliance is just one of the many things they are planing, I recommend you check their website for more news. I don't like Bountie, I hope Giftz gets way bigger than it, they deserve. TRX is really nice also, it is already big and will get bigger, I advise you to get in.


Now let's talk about Ripple: I think doubling your profit on it was great, you did the right think on selling it, price is going down like crazy. I did make a lot of profit on a short time with my Ripple, but not even close to doubling it. I don't really like the way Ripple is heading (development wise), so I do not regret selling all mine and moving that money to ETH, but I guess only time will tell the final result.

If you feel comfortable selling it, then it's all OK, but I personally think that Ripple has really big potential and it will start skyrocketing again soon. I'm riding the Ripple wave since it was 0.18 cents and I continue on hodling every single XRP that I have. I personally know people holding millions in ripple since it costed nothing and they continue on HODLing it, you ask why? Well all of them see potential in it and expect way way bigger profits when it starts skyrocketing again. Just be happy and don't have any regrets, that's the important part. :)

Ripple could be one of the top coins in the future (by market cap) if banks will really implement it to their transaction systems. I would suggest to HODL.

Im a trader but i dont think buy ripple. I wont invest it. Instead of spending my money on something like this, I bought waves or neo.

I think it's a good trade, a lot of people are stuck on holding their Ripple because it was pumped and dumped lately. It's good to buy Ripple at the right time and hold it till it gets pumped again. A lot of people are investing on Ripple because it is good for trading. I really haven't checked out about Ripple, but I really think that people would keep on investing on it.

I think ripple is just a popular pump/dump coin. It is not giving trust. In my opinion, ripple is not a suitable coin for long time investments, so, it is not logic that holding ripple for a long time.

Not really a good trade. I mean you held your money for around 6 months for doubling your money. I think if we do proper trading with good signals and analysis its not that difficult to double money in more than a month. Moreover XRP is a real good coin it went to $3 from $0.1. For me, your profit is Not bad. It depends upon the situation of token. If It's have a potential to rise, just hold it. Trading is very risky because the price will have a tendency to dump. but regarding to your selling price you can already earn.

It depends why you brought them in the first place. I buy for 3 main reasons

1/ short term hold and a quick buck. You did this well done

2/ long term hold. I brought a few thousand dirt cheap and I will forget about them for a few years and hopefully get plesently suprised.

3/ sort of the same as 2 but also because I believe in the project. Things like sia coin, po.et and Deeponion could radically change the way we live our lives and I would love to see that happen and be apart of it.

I don't  sell up all my holding even if the price goes up for many x and for now is very tempting  to sell and get a big profit.  I made it before many times but I learned the lesson very good. Crypto area is so new , that you don't know what you can expect . May be one day ripple will be used by every bank and it will cost many times more? will you regret? I guess the answer yes. So, I was stressed  many times and after those lessons I always sell maximum just a half of coin holdings. and other one I gonna keep till best times or at least 1 year.

I guess more people should sell their Ripple now as I dont think that it can stay for long above two dollars, at least those that got in late (bought for two dollars and above). It's always been a good decision to whatever cryptocurrency you are selling for as long as you earn profit from it. What makes a decision bad if you are selling your cryptocurrency at a lower price and you losing your capital.

I think it was a good trade. I got in around 3000sats and sold half of my holdings at 16000 sats. I wish i had sold the whole lot because i do not think ripple has a great future, too many uncertainties. banks might create their own crypto-currencies instead of using ripple, ripple company is being sued, more than half the coin supply is owned by the company itself so no real decentralisation etc

Im sure this is a good and a bad choice at the same time. But hope you made the correct decision
