As someone in the market for ASICs (I have several KnC orders), this sort of thing catches my interest. But as I see it, I can spend 120 BTC here for 110GH, or wait a few months (supposedly..) and get 400GH for 70 BTC. Even with difficulty spiking, the latter looks like a better deal, so I put my money there. I can't speak for others, but I would imagine the thinking is similar.

So it looks like I was right about dropping prices.
If you wanna sell I will give you 90 BTC for 4 module Avalon.

You weren't right about anything. If I was to accept 90 you'd cancel it and ask for 70 - you just do the same thing again and again. But nty.

If you look at what 110GH can mine in a few months - you could buy more KNCs in that time if you truly believe in them. There is a significant difference between in hand and preorder without prototype or ANY delivered units though. I wouldn't (and haven't) put all my eggs in one basket. I stick to things which exist immediately ;)

I don't understand why you start the bidding so high.  I guess if that really the least you would sell them for it makes sense but difficulty skyrocketing. I'd dump these fast if I were you.  You will not make even 100 BTC mining from them with how the network hashrate exploding this week.

Were you expecting it to stay level? Nothing is new, this is all expected.

It a bot disingenuous to advertise 85GH units as 110 in the title.  Just because it can be theoretically overclocked to there, with voiding the warranty, aggressive cooling and a dramatic increase in error rates, does not mean it should be advertised as stock speed.

Now, if you were to pre-overclocked them, provide the cooling solution and guarantee the error rate from your own testing, then it would be a fair advertisement.  Regardless, if you serious about moving these, 1BTC per gigahash at stock speeds is what is fair and would offer a decent shot at a ROI for prospective miners. I think you will fail to find buyers above the 85-90 BTC range.

Its the same cooling and power solutions as stock. I'm advertising the same way everyone else is.

Fair enough though not everyone advertising like that.  There are other advertising at stock speed in this forum for the same units. It your prerogative, but unless you would truly rather keep these units than sell below your stated prices, you just depreciating as time ticks by and difficulty up while at a price point these unlikely to sell.

I bet you can sell them on ebay for 13-15k each.

Anything selling for over a grand on e-Bay becomes a pain in the ass , paypal freezes your account and requires you to prove your identity , which slows access to funds.

I don't believe a market could function without it.
