Title: Mining with New APU Processors
Post by: st4rdust on July 07, 2011, 08:42:43 PM
If you aren't familiar with these, AMD has a new generation of processors with GPUs integrated onto the CPU die. This isn't like onboard graphics integrated onto the motherboard, these are GPUs right on the CPUs themselves. I believe Intel has a similar concept with their Sandy Ridge chips, although I'm not sure if that's the same as what AMD is doing.

Anyway, I'm curious if anyone has one of these and if they've mined with it yet. I'm interested in seeing the results of this new technology for mining.

I have a A10 5800 apu and ati 6670  and i get about 180 mhs total hashspeed.  If you leave your computer on for 3 days straight *72hours) you might get 0.05 bitcoins.
