i think bitcoin will rise again,up to $20000in december hahaha,because last year bitcoin rised to $20000 in december.

I think that it may possible since it has already rise in that unexpected price.so how come that it may increase too like the other time. I wish it would be come true. Im claiming it because it was a good opportunity to start up in our life.

That could happen for as long as the investors continue to invest in bitcoin that could make bitcoin more stronger it will happen soonest. Will wait and see if the price will continue to rise.

Don't think that will happen. Maybe it might rise to like $40K but to $1 million in a year, no. That would mean over $16 trillion would have to be poured into Bitcoin alone this year, which I think is impossible.

Bitcoin price will increase but 1M price rising is very impossible. When Bitcoin started its journey and then its price was. 03$ but in now Bitcoin price will increase 15000$.  Really Bitcoin price is increasing more than 500000 times than before .

Honestly i think that is to big expectation and those numbers seem crazy. Maybe i have tin foil hat, but i think real value would be MAYBE around 150k maximum, even at that price looks non realistic to me, hopefully in 2018 we can see healthy and natural grow without any FUD, attacks or any kind of shit like in last few months :(

I must say there is a resistance on the price for now so we can not see any bullish movement for the time being and right now the focus of everyone is on the Altcoins, I really think that many people are now buying and working in earning for cheap coins and hold it for a long term so they can get profited when the value pump up, That is why we can see so much pumping in some cheaper coins because Cryptocurrencies popularity is booming right now.

Majority has already predicted 2018 to be the death of BTC and rise of altcoins. BTC at this stage won't go beyond the previous peak (19-20k) anytime soon before the transaction speed and fees are fixed. This is also why 3rd and 4th gen currency coins (instant transfer and zero transaction fees) are currently gaining a lot of momentum as well.

I think I am against in your opinion if you are talking about the majority of the population here or the bitcoins users believe that bitcoin will be dead this year if you take a look closely you'll see that the majority you are talking about are those people who are not true believers of bitcoin and those lets say haters and against bitcoin. Now to answer your question of course it can because in the trading industry the price has no limits.

It is not impossible for bitcoin to rise upto 1 million but seems like we need to wait atleast 2-3 years for that day.
Moreover, people mostly newbies are looking much interested in altcoins than butcoin, there unawareness affects bitcoin a lot.
My speculation is based on opinions of different people over internet and  may not be exact. I personally like to hold in bitcoin and will continue to do so

1 BTC for a 1M dollars? It would be nice of course and everyone would wish it, I think but this year it will not happen yet in my opinion

If more bitcoin investors will come,  this could be possible to become 1m dollar each bitcoin. The increase of bitcoin value depends on the interest and the demand of bitcoin the market. 1m per bitcoin is a long way to go but there is a little chance that it will reach,  its only a matter of time.

Well it depends into many things. if some country's government launch there own crypto currency then who knows btc will be rise up to 1M or more. everyday bitcoin popularity are increasing. so that is not impossible at all. 🙂

Bitcoin is unpredictable and could not assume the future price but it would surely go up till it reaches that price (again?), i think what you're saying that 1M is in Philippine peso which is already reached by the Bitcoin last month. While the government of some countries trying to stop the Bitcoin and discourage their citizen to get involve with bitcoin, the Bitcoin will be more popular.

Wishful thinking.   It would double the number of billionaires in the world (there are only around 2,000 or so, now).    Where will the money shift from?   From those billionaires?   Unlikely.
   

There is a high probability that it will reach 1M on december and actually maybe even before december. If more investors will decide to put their money on it it would greatly affect the price of the bitcoin because of increase in demand and besides since the holidays are already finished, people of the bitcoin community are returning back to work again.

If it's 1M, I think it's not possible, but if it costs $ 20,000, maybe because the current price jumped $ 17,000 does not get this far. If you asked me a month earlier i would say yes, the price of the bitcoin will reach 1M dollar some day, but since the transaction became very slow and the mining fees are som high, i am actually starting to worry about bitcoin actually going down and not going up, the cryptocurrency market has seen a massive rise in the last few months, and poeple who are intrssted in it and use transaction often can't offird to pay hunderds of dollars in fees, or wait for a day for it to get confirmed, so they started looking at the other cryptrocurrencies in the market, and with some of them having some high market cap and a huge supply and faster transaction time, bitcoin might see some competetion if the network stays the way it is.

Maybe yes maybe know. Because nobody know what will happen with bircoin in the next day. So we just can see what will happen.

I read an article about someone that predicts Bitcoin will reach $60,000 by December 2018 and I am looking forward to that speculation because that could be possible. I am not that sure if Bitcoin will reach into like a million dollars in just a year because as of tjis time it needs some upgrades but who knows? In terms of trust I think there is no possible with Bitcoin but I know that it will happen in the right time and I hope that I will not miss that timing too. Having left behind by the trend makes us regret and I don't want that to happen again. I do hope that 2018 will be another great year for the Bitcoin community.

Well maybe it will hit $1M but not so fast not just in 1 year but soon, it will take a lot of years to reach that value, and last December 2017 bitcoin does not reached the $1M (but in Philippines Peso (PHP) last december it reached the PHP1,000,000 = $20K, I don't know if you are talking about Philippines Peso (PHP) currency or in USD, if in PHP yes maybe it will rise again to PHP1,000,000).

That is true, nobody knows what will happen next. If you have asked me this question five years ago I would have probably answered as "no way" but after all this crazy price action I can only says "who knows". Everything is possible in this market.

Cryptocurrency is a decentralized system that is fully managed by the user. If indeed bitcoin price reaches 1M it would be possible if many investors are interested to invest in bitcoin, it is very likely. And even if the system of bitcoin repaired, because that I understanding for now it's just a lot of people who complain about the high fee per transaction and also slow to process some transactions. It caused for at the moment bitcoin is only able to complete just 7 transactions per second.

And vice versa if the investors move the investment place eg to altcoin, it is not impossible also altcoin price will increase. Because currently some altcoins have been able to process 1500 transactions per second, and transaction costs are also very cheap. Yeah, maybe in the future bitcoin developers will fix the bitcoin system right now, so the decentralization system is fitting for the existing call in the world of cryptocurrency.

Are your referring to 1M in Philippine Peso or USD? If it is in Philippine Peso, then it is possible to reach that price range again within 2018 but if you're talking about the benjamins, patiently waiting until year 2020 could be possible for BTC to reach $1M if it continues mass adoption and steady bull run.

I am changing my mind about bitcoin every month now.
I came to realise that there are way to many people shilling BTC because they own a ton of it. Now people are going into alts because they kinda figure that out.

I strongly believe that bitcoin price will rise 10 or 20 times again in 2018. But reaching 1m by Dec is quite tough, probably $100,000 first.

yes it may be done. bitcoin may be reached 1M in this year. because users of bitcoin will be increased more so bitcoin will get stronger.

In theaory, yes it can rise up to 1M. But the chances of that happening this year are so damn slim. It's currently estimated that about 1-2% of the world's population is invested in crypto. For BTC to hit 1M i think that number will have to rise to above 15% adoption.

Bitcoin can do wonders in 2017 without thinking it repeats its history again in 2018. I do not believe Bitcoin can double the price this year. This is not possible.

Actually on the month of December, bitcoin rised up to almost 1M if you convert it into PH Currency, but because of its unstability, Bitcoin abated down and is currently going down, but again bitcoin is unpredictable, so we cannot afford to say to iterate out that Bitcoin may or may not hit 1 million, but if it doew its gonna be an accolade for all users out there. At the end of 2018 there will be more than 100.000, that's pretty sure. One day maybe it'll raise upto 1 M, but I don't really believe that BTC will. My guess is that 100k is the top (or little more). I think that another cryptocurrency will reach BTC price and will even exceed it.

Bitcoin will definitely increase by a large amount but 1 million seems to be unlikely as there are many restrictions such as government that are controlling the price of it. Perhaps it's possible over a period of years.

This price looks too high and it is pretty hard that Bitcoin reach this level, at least in the few coming years. We need to be a bit logical seeing the actual price which is around $15k so we can predict that Bitcoin can't hit the $1M in the few next years at least.

Yes its possible that bitcoin could rise up again up to 1 million. I believe that it will increase more in this year 2018. Maybe yes. Before end of December last year bitcoin hit in 20,000 USD in Philippine peso is equivalent in more than 1 million. But before entering new year the bitcoin price or value is suddenly decrease in almost 14,000 USD and now it rising up again and almost hitting in 17,000 USD. There are probably that bitcoin will rise up again in more than 20,000 USD and in Peso it 1 million. It's lucky to those people keeping their bitcoin until now and waiting in proper time before they sell it and when you are in Philippines and you have 1 bitcoin and once bitcoin hit to 1 million or 20,000 USD your instant millionaire.

A 1 Million of what currencies? If you are saying $1M therefore you are joking because it is very impossible to make that happen in just a year. Last year, it happened so fast that the bitcoin value rises up to 999 900 plus,  we call it road to million event, but it did not reach 1 000 000, it only gotten close to million. So i guess bitcoin can reach over a million but not this month. Alt coins how ever i think will have the chance to gain popularity by this month, increasing in value and we can all enjoy the profit it will bring us. It would value satoshis too much and by that point, there would need to be other divisions to split up even satoshis.

Transaction fees would also need to be changed as by that point people would be paying hundreds of dollars for each transaction.

The prices are ofcourse going to rise in coming days and this price seems somewhat achievable because btc have potential and past growth have shown us what it is capable of.Many beleive altcoins will rise now not btc and it will crash but they also know it is not possible as competition with bitcoin at current is not possible.So wait for the price to reach there.

We dont know that but many people believes in bitcoin so i think it will be possible to reach that 1M mark in the far future as we know that bitcoin has gained a lot of attention when it reached the $20000 mark. Although that 1M mark is a farcry, we also have a lot to go through to even come close to that goal.Let's just hope that a lot of users will adopt to the use bitcoin and many merchants starts accepting bitcoin as a mode of payment so the price will continue to increase.

That is what i think at first too, but I think what he meant was not USD but PHP because last year, when the price of bitcoin reaches $20,000 its equivalent to PHP is 1Million.

Bitcoin is going to rise up again definitely but 1M$ looks like too huge of a number. As it had reached around 20,000 $ in 2017 and dropped a bit later it has started to rise up again. I personally think the maximum bitcoin's value can go up to this year would be around a 1,00,000$. Which itself might be a little bit hard. As there are alot of negative news going on the media doesn't look like it supports bitcoin much. So we can't expect too much rise in bitcoin's value.

Why do you think so? Do not think it will be possible. Bitcoin's price seems to be really impossible to reach about 10 million dollars in the next few years. You have to wait a decade or more. We've reached the end of this year that the maximum price is 2018, which is about 40,000 dollars. If there is no barrier to any kind of confusion.

Bitcoin price has been recovery and increasing back since 4 days ago, 2 Jan. Last year, why bitcoin value was increasing so much, it could be Bitcoin as mother crypto currency where this new technology is changing the dynamic of the business world and many investor looking to challenge on it. Value was rocketing from $800, Jan 2017 to $14,000, Dec 2017. But i don't see this momentum will repeat in 2018, i seen big problem about how price was going down in last December are about high fees transaction and long time confirmed.

Can you specify first what is the "1M" in your post? Is it 1m dollars or 1m PHP or 1m Yen. If you are referring to 1m USD, its too early to say because it too too far away at this moment. Bitcoin's price is at 15-16k$ at this moment and has a possibility to go down more. Maybe in 15-20 years, it will reach 1m USD.

It is possible for bitcoins to reach 1m but it will take a very long time in order for it to happen. There are a lot of people who are also hoping for bitcoins to grow its value and because of that, They are all striving to earn bitcoins as much as possible.

Since you said it rise 1 Million last year i think you are referring on your local fiat money and not in dollar. If that's the case, well it is possible to reach 1Million in your local fiat or $20,000 All time high.

Well with a market cap of $176.846.972.167 as of 22-1-2018 (according to coinmarketcap.com) I find that highly unlikely. If bitcoin increases to $1.000.000 for 1BTC the market cap would be:
1.000.000/10.514 (current BTC price)= 95.1 so the marketcap will have to multiply by 95.1 times; 176 billion x 95.1 = a lot.

Unless BTC gets accepted in a major part of all stores, online shops etc. and a big part of global population would be using it, that marketcap is really unlikely.

For me that is an over specution to bitcoin, let say it can happen; this will be the problem of bitcoin because no one will buy anymore and no one will make a profit both the holders of bitcoin and the future investors. The high price will stand as the barrier of many to have an access to bitcoin.

Well all I can say is, we can't be assure of that. We can't predict if the price of bitcoin will even rise about 900k. 1. How the development team will handle the issues about scalability, speed, mining rewards etc, so how they deal with present and future issues?

I think he's talking mathematically since bitcoin rose from $807 on December 21 2016 to almost $20,000 in December 2017, it's an incredible rise in percentage of 2400% and so if we are to have a similar rise this year that will put it's all time high of about $20,000 to 20000*(2400/100)=$480,000 which is still half a million dollar.

Yes, Bitcoin will reach $20k but I don't think that it will happen overnight. Things will take time and I am expecting sustainable growth after the first quarter of 2018. Things will remain chaotic for the time till then. At this moment, it is hard to tell. Bitcoin almost had it last year when its market value continuously increased straight. But this time, it is continuously falling and having a hard time to break the 10000 USD-mark . If there's nothing that would happen in favor with Bitcoin  there will be more years to come for its value to increased that much or reached the 20k-mark.

But these are somethings that may be considered for us to guess if bitcoin could reached out $20,000 this 2018. First, some news showing that bitcoin some countries are now accepting bitcoin it could possibly drive bitcoin value to increase because there will be a new users, and investors coming. for sure it will rise, but as my last observation the price of $20k is too high to reach in the end of 2018. the bull will come in the beginning of october until the last december bitcoin market will start to recover, but it will only reach $10k in the end of 2018. its need a couple year for bitcoin the break the new all time high price again, even to reach $20k will not happen soon or in the near future.

That $20k expectations is always possible all the time because bitcoin has no boundaries and it has no limitations. More times we observed more roller coasters that had occurred timely with each bitcoin value, and it's a good signs for the price to increase again back to that price as well. I always hope and expect greater changes despite on how worst the situation is, motivations is the better strategy towards greater results.

According to Experts predictions, bitcoin will soon hit $20k. Personally I also think that it will surpass $20k in the end of 2018. But when i see that today 1 btc= $6.5k , it seems to be impossible that it will exceed $20k. Lets wait and watch till December, only a few months left ,hope it will surpass $20k ,so that all the investors would get high returns from bitcoins. If again this year it will rise up to $20k , then many more people would start trusting bitcoin and will definitely invest in bitcoins in future.

May be the Bitcoin’s price rises in the upcoming few months as said by experts that the value can go higher than 30k US dollar within the next six months and we hope that it happens for we are waiting from a long time to see the success.

In my own opinion, bitcoins reaching $20k dollars is a big deal because in this way most of the people will be getting rich instantly so invest today while the market price is low.

Predict only according to the current situations and after discussions with some perfect analysis after all you will come to one point which will clear your prediction. According to some experts the Bitcoin will achieve higher than 30k dollar in upcoming few months.

i would not say it's going to. however i'd say this is viable to occur right here in crypto you don't know what's going to happen in the future or perhaps simply the next day. it is able to increase the next day or the next day. however it likely will attain. I assume can be the 12 months ender like closing december.

I also feel the price of bitcoin will pump very high in the future. well, I still save some bitcoin to prepare it. I believe, after this crisis, the price of bitcoin will rise again to be higher, even more than 2017.

yes it could happen but for now it seems like it is a very heavy thing because the current condition of the price of bitcoin is falling to the cheapest price and may need a lot of money and requires a lot of buyers to be able to raise the price of bitcoin to the price $ 20k again.

It doesn't mean that it will rise again but i think that it would be hard to get back to $20k but there are many news and many panic buying that could make bitcoin price to reach again $20k.
But again if the bitcoin price reaches $20k then there would be that the transaction fees will cost too much like we saw recently when the price of bitcoin was double than the actual price. Yes, This year it might be not possible for Bitcoin to cross the value of 20000$ in the market, instead of panic it is better to hold them until the market starts recovering. You can see from many the price of Bitcoin constant at 6000$ which is very good sign for people who are holding.

yes, keep thinking positively for bitcoin. but I'm sure, the price will indeed reach a high price, but it's hard to think of a high price this year. well, at least we have to think positively about this, and maybe at the end of this month the price can approach $ 10k.

Though the price at this point maybe lower or not risen in this year the way it has always being rising in the past but we should also understand it is crypto currency where the volatility is the part of it. That's a weird thinking :) If last year Bitcoin was about 20,000 USD that doesn't mean it all will happen again this year. We will have market correction for a few month more.

It is not definite that what happened last year,will happen this year also.It is not possible to correctly predict the price of Bitcoin.Rise and drops are sudden in it's case so may be it can even cross $20k or may be it will keep on struggling.If it crossed $20k mark then it will be a major relief for all the investors who are holding there BTC's and waiting for the price to rise.

That price of bitcoin is really possible just like what happened to bitcoin and the market last year where every one is affected by the price hike of bitcoin. Maybe there will be a game changer within this last quarter that can catapult back to its all time high.

$20,000 is more than our expectation. I don't think bitcoin can touch even $10,000 this year. This year is seems worst for bitcoin lover.
