Title: What fork coins can i actually claim?
Post by: erre on January 04, 2018, 12:25:20 PM
I have the private keys of my addresses, and I have already claimed bcash and btg using coinomi.
I'm looking for a way to claim these coins too:

Bitcoin Diamond (Forked at Block 495866, 24 November 2017) --->edit: I claimed this with the bther app

UnitedBitcoin (Forked at Block 498777, 12 December 2017)

BitcoinX (Forked at Block 498888, 12 December 2017)

Super Bitcoin (Forked at Block 498888, 12 December 2017)--->  bither app too

Can someone help me? Are out there any official or reliable wallet for this coin that let me import plain text priv keys?

You can also claim Bitcore, BTX, which forked early in November, via Coinomi. Same process as for the others. Though BTX is not worth too much at the moment, plus you only get 0.5 BTX for each BTC.

Thank you very much for your answer, I forgot to mention that I also claimed btx (first and second airdrop), this is the only fork I'm actually hodling.
Some idea about how to claim the over-mentioned forks?

Get your Bitcoin diamond with Bither wallet.  You can import the Bitcoin private keys and then extract the BCD - it will ask you for a Bitpie BCD address but I think it doesn't matter what wallet you use.  Bitpie is written by the same programmer as Bither.  You could probably extract them directly to an exchange wallet.  I used gate.io

The newest Bither version for Android now also allows to claim Bitcoin Diamond (BCD). 1 BTC at time of fork = 10 BCD.

NXT was last dec fork and if you have having NXT as at dec last year. you can claim  IGNIS Token.
But your exchange must have supported it or any forked coin before you can claim it
or if you store your coins on hardware then you might need to move to the supported platform to clain it.

Why not put it on Binance's exchange, which will help you deal with all bitcoin forks. But you don't have to do it yourself.

Even if Binance is a great exchange you should never leave your whole BTC stack inside any exchanges. It's just not safe.

This reason.
Never let your money on an exchanger, this is risky and stimulates scammy fractional-reserve schemes.
But I agree, claiming all these forks is pretty much a pain in the ass. Thank you for the bther update

I have already tried claiming super bitcoin, bitcoin diamond, bitcoin world and did it successfully. what i do is transfer my bitcoins to another wallet then i start importing my private keys in bither and send it to a wallet that supports this coins which is bitpie wallet. but the problem here is there is still no available exchange for this forked coins that makes those fork coins useless.

I received some super Bitcoin from HITBTC exchange, they are giving the forked coins and there was another exchange I received Bitcoin gold but only small amounts as I do not have hardly any Bitcoin. I think now many altcoins are blossoming so most of my financial investments are in altcoins right now as Bitcoin price is fairly stable. Also holding Bitcoin though and receiving free forked coins is a very good way to grow your portfolio.

My advice would be to wait for a few more months. More and more forked coins are coming out every week and you can claim all of them in one go after moving your BTC to another wallet. Else, you may need to create new BTC wallets everytime you are claiming these forked coins (unless your wallet automatically credits them).

I used gate.io for superbitcoin an okex for bitcoin diamond, all went smoothly :)

Still looking for an exchanger for bitcoinworld trading...

I received automatically BCD, BCX, SBTC in binance even though the amount was very low but this was an automated thing that happened from the binance side and I was suprised when I saw these coins on myAccount.html site. Same happened in hitbtc too, received super bitcoin too.
Can I suggest you to keep up to date the first post so people can refer to this post to know which coins they can claim for free from the forks that happened and optionally telling how and where to claim which I learned right not using the bither app which I'm going to check in few hours.
