Title: do modular PSUs have standardised pinouts on the psu itself? Post by: tarui on August 06, 2013, 11:43:58 AM basically i need a new atx power cable (24pin) to connect the PSU to the avalon unit. so i was wondering, can i just use any modular atx cable or must i get the original cable?

The resulting 6pin PCIe connector will always end up the same, but IIRC most manufacturers will make their modular plugs different so you can't use a competitor's cable. You have to use their specific one.
