Should i buy ripple or stellar lumens?Both are linked to banking. i am confused!

XLM is upgraded version of XRP said by the former developer of XRP who joined XLM develpment groups,XLM is cheaper today and has more advance technology,for me XLM is better investment because i hate bankers who controlled the fiat and eventually the cryptoworld if XRP dominates!

I think that buying XLM is safer than XRP these days

Go for ripple.

Why not both? They both have solid futures ahead and have been growing steadily.

Stellar is less centralized then Ripple so I would go for XML

As far as I'm concerned, these two coins have common developers, and so the development methodology is common and the technologies are common. I think that this is a matter of preference, as if to choose between tea and coffee.

Exactly how much you will buy ?
If you can buy both why not ?
Stellar and Ripple have a good prospect on the future.

Go for XLM,XRP is too pricey because its still on the hype,bankers will eventually dump it we just need another recession to take its place back to its proper place in market.

I would definitely pick stellar over ripple, more potential than ripple with it's current pricepoint.

They are similar, but Ripple is focused more on the banking sector, whilst Stellar is more for individual people. Also Stellar has inflation, and XRP does not. There are plenty of differences when you look closely. Stellar will probably be a big success, but I think Ripple will be bigger.

i think you can buy ripple now, they actually similar but xrp more then safe i think, so you can buy ripple now. I think xrp can cross 5$ soon .

Somewhere I heard that the ripple and stellar have the same developers. Stellar is a newer coin, and therefore more advanced. I think she will catch up with the ripple.

Ripple is puppet of banks. You'd be better with Stellar Lumens, So, Buy it. I'd probably wait for a dump before getting into XLM.

Although, I think it will have another jump, if rumors  are true and coinbase.com start trading it! But beyond that I can not imagine with that supply it goes beyond 10$!

Ripple could go higher in price, but it has already gone up a lot. Stellar also increased, but it has more potential and can increase much more. Maybe it's a good idea to buy both of them. Both ripple and stellar will bring good returns.

I personally like xlm more. Liking the people who are working on that project a lot more and it looks like a better investment if you're looking for the longer term.

I'd buy more Stellar Lumens than Ripple.

For some reason I like Stellar more. This is a newer coin, but developed by common developers. Therefore, it takes into account the drawbacks of the ripple.

I believe that any crypto-currency has a future. What would you advise for a short time ?? Will not the price drop on Ripple tomorrow?

I choose ripple, the main reason is, until now I get passive income from that coin. For stellar lumens, I don't have knowledge about it so I can't say anthing at all. But for ripple, this is my passive income and also the first coin I buy on the crypto market. Only see price chart and volume ( technical ) and ignore fundamental ( news/ history ). The question is what do you need, ripple or stellar lumens? Your post not " enough " because both coin linkend to the banking and make you confused? I don't get it any way. Sorry.

I am much more in favor of Stellar Lumens, they have a much more interesting strategic plan in my opinion.

I've seen an image comparing Ripple and Stellar Lumens to the Dark Side and the Light Side of the Force. You be the judge which one is which.

I would suggest you to go for both on a 70:30 investment I would suggest you to invest 70% into XLM as it will grow and hit new level and yield more profit because ripple has already reach it's breaking point and it will not be a smart idea to invest into it at this point of time as dump.will.hurt real.bad hence I would suggest to.go for XLU at the moment.

Ha-ha, this is a very ridiculous comparison. Only I do not see competition and struggle between these coins. These are two great projects that are developing very well now. We still have the opportunity to earn money on this

I think both of these coins have made a good leap up in price. I think buying them now on such takeoff is a bad idea. Everything falls, always, and these 2 coins will fall for a while. Then buy both for a lower cost.

Stellar are sitting on a lot of coins that aren't in escrow

Both of them  got a good rising this week and both of them got rumours that going to be backed up by huge company, so both of them got good potential to have a big rising, but I still root for xrp because xrp previously in the top 5 of marketcap, its mean there are more users and more transaction volume, so it will attract  more people to  invest

The whole point of crypto is decentralization. While ripple is a banking favorite and still has room to run, it may even challenge bitcoin in terms of value. However, XLM has more potential.

I'd go more with Stellar for now. But please do your own due diligence when investing, don't listen to random strangers online. :)

im holding some amount of xrp for another half year because of tax reasons.

I think XLM has more growing possibilities, but xrp has more anounced partnerships.

tbh i would choose xlm right now, because with a x2 xrp has the marketcap of BTC

So i have both in my portfolio. So, i bought ripple in April for 2000 satoshi and holding right now. And i bought lumens for 350 satoshi and gonna hold as well. Nobody knows what we would have in the future. So, i would buy both coins on your place.

I would go for XLM because it is much cheaper than XRP. It has the same concept with XRP but much upgraded one. But its really up to you . Research first before buying and invest only on the amount you can afford to lose.

in my opinion better choose stellar lumens, from previous stellar lumens have a fairly fast movement so pretty good for future and trading

The companies share the same founding partners, namely Jed Mccaleb and have several other similarities. I have been trading Ripple since August and now I will move to Stellar Lumens. I will keep a little bit of Ripple open, but I will move more actively to Stellar. I cashed out about 50% of my Ripple and invested 10% of this 50% in Stellar so far.

If it were me, I would buy XLM, because XRP has gained a lot in the near term, so maybe there won't be a big increase next, so it's rational to invest in XLM.

I think you don't have to confuse and you can buy both ripple and stellar at the same time so you can have both coins. I still have my ripple and stellar and waiting for another wave that will trigger the price to increase more. but stellar is cheaper than ripple and you can buy stellar first before the price increase more higher. my suggestion is you need to check the price first before you buy and make sure that ripple and stellar in the bottom of price so you can start to buy that coins.

for today ripple is still one good coin compared to stellar, but for the future stellar could be better than ripple because of price increase. we can see the development of the coin in the future

There won't be a day I would choose a centralized coin over a (more) decentralized one. If you're into centralized coins please go back to using paypal or your bank. Or would you buy a coin of which I would keep 60% of? All you XRP hypers are only making the banks even richer. But well, who cares right, TO THE MOON...

I vote stellar

Ripple is essentially a scam - it is centrally controlled and nearly all the coins are controlled, and can be minted in unlimited quantity, by the central broker. Shouldn't even really be listed on crypto forums since it's a glorified Paypal.

Since both digital currencies have similarity on its usage, both on the top 10 but Ripple has the edge over Stellar in the sense that Ripple is ahead of ETH now it terms of market capitalization. But bottomline, these two cryptos are pushing their market cap to the limit and i think they have a very bright future ahead.

I think both coins have great potential and if you can better buy both.

And I personally put Ripple with greater weight between both coins.

yes both are linked to bank and both are big coin. but i rather choose xlm instead cause xlm  got a good project similar to ripple and have a charity program that would be usefull i the future of cryptocurrency

I think I would vote for XLM. In the last few weeks, a lot of people have voiced their concerns about how centrally controlled Ripple is, and it has gotten me concerned as well. So I'm cheering for Stellar Lumens at this moment.

Stellar Lumen has undervalued coins until now. will go up now because all the airdrops on BTC/XRP was already done. don't forget the IBM partnership.

i like XLM because its less centralized than XRP, plus it has a large room to grow.

Go for stellar. It's run by young entrepreneurs, backed by IBM. IBM hoping to make its comeback with stellar so you know they will be trying their hardest. And ripple is centralized. Not looked at well in crypto community. Its value has increased because it has been around so long. Stellar has 1% inflation. As they are meant to help financial institutions. And they always prefer positive small inflation.

XRP will enclose its potential in 2018 so I would choose it and adding to positions at every dip!

I'm for the stellar. What is happening now with the ripple is like a usual pump.

Ripple is surely closer to it's top, whereas XLM has much further to go.

XLM has more hype potential now given lots of people feel they missed XRP.

Some people think XRP can keep climbing but it's very unlikely it'll ever reach above $5-10, there are bigger gains to be made on XLM, which can easily reach the same figure without having an obnoxious market cap larger than Google.

Both Ripple and Stellar Lumens have a very good future. We have seen a steady growth both of these two coins in the last quarter of 2017. I expect both of these coins would pump in 2018.

Short term xrp, long term xlm. Sadly to see so many people are just in it for the money, normally we should ban xrp as it's not a crypto. We are destroying the future while investing in it.

Rumors (or facts?) Ripple will not be on coinbase soon are presumingly impacting todays and past days trade.

Stellar & IBM... sounds interesting as IBM is active in most TOP companies in a way... Q is if IBM won't come up with an own Crypto...

some of XRP announcements are only pilot partnerships and not official long term ones...

I bet on Stellar. In my opinion it has a higher potential ROI due to lower cap. But they both may be at highs so it's not safe enough to get in now.

stellar is a more real crypto coin. Please also consider raiblocks, they are a great addition to the microtransaction crypto space

Actually they are very different.

XLM is an open source development platform and payment network, XRP isn't. You can't run ICO's on the Ripple Network.

XRP is the coin of banks, it's against decentralization and crypto world, but still I have faith that it will increase more and more.

I invest in all decentralized coins so one centralized coin is good gamble.

I think you should choose ripple or xvg these are coin pretty good and potential and their value is quite cheap. You can buy and hold long term by the end of 2018 you will get huge profits.

I wanted to buy Ripple last week but wasn't able to enter any exchangers, I've seen how it moon after a couple of days and finding out bad reviews against it I blindly bought XLM yesterday  ;D I still think that I did a right decision since XLM's price is below $1.

Ripple was the top spot on this recent day. Wait a few day for it finally come to real where it was and jump in.

the price of ripple and xvg it still cheap for now and those coins can be our choice for a long term because if we see those coin in the exchange, the movement of the coin is good and we can see that many people want to buy this coin too. but although it is cheap, we still need to analyze the trends and make sure that before we buy, we need to wait until the price is down so we can buy more cheap with a lot of amounts.

I  think XLM has a huge potential and it is better than XRP because it is decentralized.

I did not invest in one or the other coin. However, if you look at the current trends, then Stellar looks more promising and more attractive. However, you can not suffer from the choice. Buy both if you like their concept.

I think stellar is better than ripple. even though the ripple is in position 2, it's not an amazing thing for me. I like the way Stellar works and I can see a lot of the potential this project has.
