Title: RX 580 core fluctuations
Post by: Manlost111 on January 05, 2018, 06:30:27 AM
Hi all,

So I’ve been doing some work with my rx 580 to get a better hash rate and have had some great help from here in doing that. So thanks for all the help. Now I have another issue.
My core is set to stock 1365 on my card however, when mining it rarely goes up to that, using hwinfo it’s always moving around sometime around 1150 but usually sits at 1215 MHz. Also my system can run for over 24 hours absolutely fine then will randomly restart then will restart every few hours and I can’t figure out why.
Is there any reason why this is happening? Is it a power issue?

Thanks

Make sure you're not running out of tdp limit.
Unstable core frequency caused by that can be a reason of unstability.

Too high frequency for 24/7 operation. What do you mine? It is better to throw off to 1310-1320MHz. And as they wrote above the level of TDP increased.
