Title: Share loss after reinstalling system
Post by: Regolin542 on January 05, 2018, 01:25:20 PM
Hello. Receantly i needed to reinstall the system from windows 10 to windows 7. Everything went ok but then i started mining eth.
Before update it looked liek this: https://imgur.com/a/YJ0CF
But after the reinstall it looked like this: https://imgur.com/a/uGh4N
Only thing i changed was adding 1 more hard drive and of course the system. I dont really know why the shares went so low

With Win10 you've had 29 shares in 4 hours, and with Win7 you've had 24 shares in 6 hours. Noticeable, but still within the normal variance range (4-6 hours is not a long enough period to make any definitive conclusions). There's 2 weeks between the screenshots, so maybe Nanopool has changed their difficulty? Right now it seems to be 5 billion. Do you remember what it was 2 weeks ago?

That's quite the issue since difficulty maybe increase maybe observing it for some days period or try to double check each setting
maybe there's still good combo with your OC, let us know if you get this fixed so it can be helpful also to everyone here. good luck.

What I meant is there could be some change to the share difficulty at nanopool. I didn't mean the ETH network difficulty, that one obviously changes all the time. Share difficulty is the minimum diff limit that each pool sets for shares coming from the users (nothing below that limit gets accepted). Most pools use var diff, but Nanopool uses static diff. Right now it's 5 billion. Could've been lower 2 weeks ago, I don't know. If it was lower back then, that would've explained why you've had more shares accepted before. But that's just a guess, I've no idea whether they changed that during these 2 weeks.
