Took profit in some of the Alts last night. BTC dominance is way to low. Exuberance in the alts is way too high.

When altcoin went crazy, I would buy BTC, and BTC would go up and tell them who was the boss. ;D

Yes, this can be one of the best ways to make money in the world of cryptocurrency. Right now, alts are raging so high and I am not actually complaining because I am also holding some alts from my bounty campaigns and I guess we also have to give these coins/tokens the time to be in the limelight. However, Bitcoin remains to be the King of the Cryptos and even if many would like to knock it down it will take a lot of time for any other coin to overtake Bitcoin much more so if soon Bitcoin will start to surge again. Maybe the best thing to happen is if alts are surging and so does Bitcoin...which is not traditionally what happened in the past when Bitcoin was gaining while alts were losing their value.

Btc started to grow and its normal-big king don't wait and I think we will see 20K and more very soon!!!

I agree. I think Bitcoin is slowly raising now after its price stabilized after a couple of days. I'm excited to see it raising to $20k rate very soon!

Let's hope it will continue more and more in the coming days or weeks that bitcoin would continue and will get the momentum of a bullish trend again, But I think that bitcoin had this kind of movement even in the past we can see that it had reached a certain amount and a decent one too, It is tried and tested by many investors and right now we can see that even the main stream media had gain interest with it.

Every new day brings the creation of many new coins that were once known as tokens. These coins are being known as altcoins. Every altcoin is striving towards the rise of the new technologies that it brings to the world. Bitcoin was the first coin and because of that, it gained most popularity. Bitcoin is the reason why all of the other altcoins came into existence. We can freely say that Bitcoin is kind of an "idol" to the altcoins. Crypto market is fluctuating a lot and we can all see the ups and downs of our favorite coin - Bitcoin. Altcoins are trying to make the push u to the top and investors are the ones that are supporting the certain coin rise. With the altcoins rise right now it is the best time to invest in the Bitcoin cause by the end of this year I believe it will prove us its power with the surprising value growth and all others that have doubted in its supremacy will be regretful because of that.

Bitcoin has just been holding on for the last week and altcoins have been gaining some terrain. Obviously this won't last forever and as you can see on the last couple of days bitcoin is starting to rise, i have a feeling that it will slowly keep going up surpassing the 20k mark once again, but keeping the stability this time.

this is information that fosters the spirit, that bitcoin will continue to skyrocket its price. hopefully bitcoin more victorious.

I do see a couple of big whales saying that 16k was the resistance, and if broken would signal a run to at least 18k. And yes, today's 10% gain is pretty impressive, since this means it would have only taken two weeks to recover from a significant tumble - but I still feel it's too early to call the bull's return. Hardly a bull trap either, this could end up being the new sideways range, but I still think it needs time to settle on the $15k mark for weeks, if not months, before renewing an attempt to previous ATH.

It does seem like a pretty decent time to get into some more alts for a quick turnover though. Waves hasn't been at 75k satoshi for weeks, for example.

I would say that boost of altcoins is only temporary and only few coins can come out as winners but the dominance of bitcoin will remain no matter the temporary problems or obstacles it faces. In the next period bitcoin price will approach 20000$ again.

People are starting to recognize the alts. This is just the start of a bigger world for cryptos, where many alts are used by people, not only bitcoin, ethereum, and the top alts but some other coins that really has the potential especially for the increasing number of crypto users.

For the past few days bitcoin price is very steady and now slowly increasing and I think we will see it will reach $20k very soon. I have also made some profit by holding altcoins and I do agree with others that altcoins are getting recognized now and it's good to make small term profit but bitcoin is much better for long term holding.

it is enough that the price of bitcoin increases that all the altcoins are in the red, you can see that bitcoin has much adoption and every day is increasing its adoption. Altcoins still need to win more people. more services and investors need to invest in the altcoins, the biggest problem with the altcoins is the pump and dump. you can invest in an altcoin and in less than 30 seconds you can lose all your money

Thr price of the bitcoin at this moment is 16,480 dollars and for sure it will increase more the price of this coin because the holiday is done. Everything will be bavk again to the last year and for sure maybe it will be better this year.  Yhe best we gonna do right now is to buy bitcoin and hold it and don't sell it brcause if most of them keep bitcoin to our wallet the price of the bitcoin will shine more and many people would benefits of this because we can earn a lot profit.  I hope the price of the bitcoin will increase again at $20,000 or more in this month of january 2018. Yes, it is time for Bitcoin now, the altcoins went crazy, even with no real foundation, always need to be very carefull not to be left as the bag holder in altcoins. Bitcoin has great future ahead.

bitcoin shows that I am the king of crypto. any obstacle from his competitors makes the bitcoin stronger. the bitcoin community remains solid to keep bitcoin as its king of crypto. the worse the value of altcoin would be down whether this is because investors withdraw their investments and re-invite them to bitcoin. this may be the cause when bitcoin value rises then altcoin value will surely fall. maybe this year bitcoin value will be above $ 20K, currently has reached $ 17K. which I regret the value of altcoin being down. I holder some altcoin, but that's okay, I still hope and belive that altcoin values will also go up ... maybe.

Right - definitely seems to run in a cycle of sorts... alts go up, bitcoin kicks in, alts tank... wash / repeat.

That is the problem with the newly hyped coins. They cannot endure the problem.
Unlike bitcoin, which have experienced so many downside and yet stayed strong up until now.

Oh yeah, bitcoin is rallying again, nice to see people are jolly and jubilant about another bull run in the horizon. It looks like the lost from the previous was quickly erase in one day. The resistance around $16K level is broken, so it means that we are now consolidating for another run at $20K. Let's see how everything pans out in the next couple of days. This will be another critical path for bitcoin. But I'm sure that we are going to expect the price to go further. I'm so excited!!!

I think I'm more happy about the fact that this rise isn't exponential. It doesn't look as prone to bursting right when we hit a resistance level as much as the last run did. Furthermore, we're seeing the alts go down which is pretty nice news in terms of the market cap of BTC. Bitcoin should be taking the throne with a significant lead over Ripple and Eth soon enough. I'm sure we'll be facing a significant amount of resistance at 20k, so everyone should be prepped for another significant drop soon.

Everything is very simple. Now there is a bullish trend. The bitcoin is traded in approximately the same range, hence the altcoins will grow. If the rally of bitcoin continues, the bitcoins will fall, but this is temporary.

We know that so many altcoins uprising now in the market while the bitcoin value constanly dump its value especially this holiday month,because of some following other reason,first mostly people  or investor withdraw there bitcoin and change to fiat for this coming holiday expenses,second im thinking reason is this happening in etherdelta scamming,people will triggered and panic,in order to ensure that there bitcoin asset will not be a part of scamming attack they rapidly withdraw all there bitcoin asset account and turn into traditional currency.

Bitcoin was always going to shine again it was tired of sitting on the side the past few weeks. I didn't think myself that the dominance would slip under 30% and it hasn't yet but I also don't expect dominance to go above 50% neither. I think it will consolidate for a couple months while money comes in and then BTC will have a real run up like it did this past Winter.

Everybody expected bitcoin to go up soon and i already bought some in the dip  :) I hope this will not kill altcoins market again.

I have notice that the value of bitcoin is starting to pump again and I guess after the little movement in its value appreciation it has started to grow higher again. I am confident now that we are again starting a new good year for bitcoin and all other cryptos. I am excited for 2018 and hoping that like what happen in 2017 bitcoin will pump and will double in value in just few months. This is a good reason to hold our bitcoin and wait for the pump

I am a bit more optimistic than you are. I believe it has good chances to go around 30 000$ by the end of January. There are new money in the market, Bitcoin is going to drag those money into it.

Bitcoin shines forever, because till date nothing has come into usage with such a potential to grow as well to make a change around the world with the technology behind it. People term it as the time to shine, just based on the growth happening with some break causing a price drop.

I am also holding my Bitcoins for a long term. Bought them around 6000USD :D

i have been holding bitcoin for a long time when bitcoin is at the price of 12000$, until now bitcoin has reached nearly 17000$ and still keep rising more, this is the happy news for all investors holding bitcoin for long time, it has brought us so much profit now.

Now is the time for those people who sell on panic to buy back because bitcoin is about to take off and make a new all time high. Brace yourself because bitcoin will soar higher this year, do grab more bitcoin now or you will cry later on.

I think altcoin may suffer a little bit if bitcoin keeps on soaring high because this is the scenario every time bitcoin pumps. Bitcoin is great and those who believe and a great hodler will surely make good profit.

Don't be surprised if the price drops again though. I think we could see some price fluctuation for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for a while. I don't see this as a bad thing as long as the price eventually rises to new highs. I'm just saying that we shouldn't expect the price to keep going up right now. I see it as a trading opportunity if the price fluctuates for a while.

It is the perfect time to bitcoin shines again because these past years bitcoin has experience high price and then it falls down. But nowadays bitcoin can shine again without falling its price but its increases and increases more until these present year so that i do believed that bitcoin can reach into high and high to its price.

Very soon the situation will turn around. Alts will lose ground because people will buy into Bitcoin and then again the circle will repeat. I guess this is a new tactic now.

For sure this 2018, the value will fluctuate higher than the record breaking value of BTC last 2017. I think it will happen in the mid to the later part of 2018.  Hoping for the best BTC this 2018.

This ebb and flow is making us wealthy. The money pumping into this, dominated by BTC, is driving a humanity altering technology. BTC may not be the king in the end, but when it all shakes out the what is important is that the winners have the characteristics defined by Satoshi. There is a lot of tech mixed in with this movement that doesn’t meet that standard (ripple) but I’m just hopeful this keeps up for a while longer before things settle out.

Well the race has again begun ,bitcoin is moving up on its way to success and touch the new peaks of this year whereas this time some alts are also performing well but atlast btc is the king crypto and no any alt can even become able to be comparable with bitcoin .

Yes, i believe now is time for bitcoin after recovering from 2 weeks of market correction. thankfully, bitcoin price is about to be fully recovered. what is up with this bitcoin dominance. Why don't people understand BTC will be dominant until some other ONE altcoin surpass BTC's market cap. If all 2000+ altcoins surpass BTC's market cap it doesn't mean anything, it's just that crypto market is increasing.

Theres no doubt it will just sold all my altcoins with no regrets haha i just want to put all my earnings in Bitcoin while it is still on low growth. Take this advantage or else. But im positive i will profit more than trading than saving it to Bitcoin Im not rushing anyways.

Of course some altcoins are taking part in the price rise in which the ripple has got first priority , many people are currently moving from other altcoins to ripple because it market capitalisation can be seen much higher than ethereum. Bitcoin is not really that too low, it has still a good value for me unlike of what the price of bitcoin before which is $7k. Right? For me we need a lot of patience here for us to see the real worth when we see our profit in the future

Yes at this time alts are going which is good thing as I also hold some of them and hope it grows more because every coin has to grow given it has potential to do so.On the other side at this time btc prices are lower but they are going to boost with great pump to in short span and nothing can knock it down because it remains king of crypto currencies.So just wait and hodl.

This way of investing is good and no different from classic investing, when everyone was investing in the housing bubble, someone smart should have seen the market was inflated, and you could buy a lot of other investments for cheap, if alts are inflated then that means bitcoin is cheap and a good investment.

So you think bitcoin dominance is too low? Have you seen the recent abdrupt downfall of altcoins when the bitcoin jumps over few thousand dollars? Bitcoin dominance is still too high don't judge it by normal dips,  it will remain dominant unless or until some serious changes may occur in future.

Altcoins dominance in terms of market cap doesn't mean anything, people should understand that by now. Market cap of altcoins are waaaaay inflated due to their large total supply. If you create an altcoin with 1,000,000,000,000 in total supply, and the exchange rate is just $1, that directly translates into a $1000 billion market cap. With this cheap way of obtaining massive market caps, Bitcoin is obviously going to lose this meaningless "battle" versus the entire altcoin market. Bitcoin speaks for itself in terms of usage, its insanely secure network, the massive ecosystem, adoption that's only growing, etc. What do altcoins have? Mostly only usage in speculative terms. ::)

I was looking forward that this year bitcoin are make some noise again in crypto industry. I suggest to bitcoiner to hold their bitcoin because their price are increasing more again.

Some people claim that altcoins are faster and cheaper, but fail to understand that the only reason they are faster and cheaper, is that barely anyone is actually using their network. I want to see people's reactions when they see how badly altcoins will suffer when they deal with the same level of network traffic, but we'll likely never find out. The only more or less relevant example is Ethereum, from which its usage has resulted in higher fees as well. Sure, it's lower than Bitcoin's fees, but even Ethereum has had to deal with $3 fees in some cases, which isn't something I see people talk about here -- it's only Bitcoin that gets blamed here....

Yes the time to shine again for bitcoin, we will see again 20$k by end of this month. There is always the time for bitcoin as this is the most traded also. So just hold if you want to have profit big.

Bitcoin is time to process. It will give more information for the future growth. You will learn for it. Bitcoin will any time to chage the pricess. So it will can't easy to choose. If need for the bitcoin information check the prices list any time. Then you will easy to gess to invest and move the process. Don't worry, bitcoin will shine again. Its just a matter of time. Bitcoin's price is once more up again and IMP will continue to rise for the next few months or so. Alts will also be up as a result, though IMO I don't think that its a healthy option that they will be up for too long.


I would not say 20k. In the recent fall, people became wary of bitcoin's volatility and many light traders immediately sold. People have become more careful when buying and selling bitcoin, so any rise from here on will only be gradual, not immediate.

In my opinion, Bitcoin price will go up drastically in 2018. I think it's hard enough to say that Bitcoin will shine again in 2018. Because I think Bitcoin always shines every year, years past. I can say that Bitcoin is always increasing in price every year and every time, so there's nothing to be honored again. We all know that the decrease in cryptocurrency is common and Bitcoin also experiences it. Bitcoin need not be flattered anymore because everyone is very familiar with this one cryptocurrency. I think it's time to look at Altcoin because I think Altcoin also has great potential. We have to choose the right Altcoin to invest so we have a backup plan and can get a lot of profit from Altcoin.

I have Bitcoin because I'm afraid for my condition. But no one talks about how much they have already earned thanks to the sharp fluctuations of the crypto currency. I think that it is more practical to approach the entire situation and if there is an opportunity to earn, then you need to do it first.

I think we will find out. At this point it's waiting for Lightning Network to get ready, because that's what we really need now. Once LN is in place, Bitcoin won't have to suffer from a low per second transaction processing power, confirmations won't form a problems anymore, and fees won't form a problem anymore. In other words, the only thing that will continue to give altcoins some sort of value, is their speculative nature. If we put the speculative nature aside, and look at the fundamentals of what altcoins have to offer, then 98% of them will miserably lose and become nothing more than a redundant altcoin. The only altcoins being able to actually have fundamental value, are those that are actually solving a problem that Bitcoin doesn't solve. One of my personal favorites is Monero.

Bitcoin is going to move up very soon though it dominant has seriously reduce this days. I have been trying to analyze the happenings in cryptocurrencies market and one things I think I will be doing is coins flipping as there is a lot of opportunities to make money when some coins are going up or down. I have tried to flip bitcoin and ripple recently and it is very profitable. Bitcoin is going to shine any moments from next week.

It's gonna be a great moment of altcoins after having a huge dump together with bitcoin. As we can see, ETH is getting $1k mark and some coins getting crazy in the market. Maybe the reason why it goes like this is that, more people are now getting into crypto, including banks and big merchants.

For now bitcoin is a basis, but what will happen next and lately. If bitcoin will not change, there are some options for other basis.

I just believe that bitcoin is going to resume it dominant by this time next week. I think bitcoin is having a lot of issues since last week and this has affected bitcoin seriously and I can see bitcoin stable above $14,000 and I believe that this has form a bottom at this level and I think the next thing that will happen is upward movement and this is going to push bitcoin price towards  $17,000.

Bitcoin has already made a step forward with the activation of SegWit. It's not Bitcoin's fault that the services in this market haven't adopted to that protocol yet. I don't know what they are waiting for, but if they would start adopting SegWit on a massive scale, the fees will drop considerably, and Bitcoin will then be able to process more transactions per block. On top of that, we are also waiting for lightning network to make its appearance, and once that happens, the altcoin bubble will pop badly. With that in mind, it won't feel right to hold any altcoins at all....
