I wonder how long the btc rally will last, could be just a minor pump as there is nothing major being announced to warrant a long lasting effect. Alts should be safe despite a small dip today, if it happens throughout the weekend then time to panic!

New ATH for BTCitcoin incoming this weekend! ;D

Only 3.6K BTC to 20K $ and 4.4K BTC to 30k $ (on Bitfinex)!

Ha! Looks like there isn't any real resistance between 20K and 30K and we may see new ATH for real.
Interesting times after looking Ripple pump for a week.

Actually, maybe half alts in my portfolio dropped in their DOLLAR value...of course they
drop in their BTC value, its simple math

All alts are pegged on BTC value....if people don't panic sell at a loss, their BTC value will remain and their dollar value will grow proportionate to BTC gains.

Check that simple math again. ;)

So alts rally is over just after a couple of weeks  ::)? If so alts suck big time. No point buying alts and holding them for months for a pathetic 2 week rally. Alts are still cheap in btc value compared to ath in last spring.

Bitcoin rally will last for months now like last time?

I enjoy this rally period very much. It becomes more and more exciting day by day.
20 percent of what they have in a day can be lost or can make 50 percent profit. You make a lot of money if you can find the right preferences.

What do you mean that people panic? Do you mean the Ripple investors are now dumping their coins an shifting back to Bitcoin? LOL. That will be really funny because they have been talking about Ripple taking bitcoin throne as the #1 crypto currency. Funny if they are now dumping because its down by more than 10%.

I don't know though, I will still stick with bitcoin for now. I'm sensing that Japanese and South Koreans are going to start pumping it again. The price bitcoin is even as high as $5K on some of their trading platform. Not much discounted price at altcoins though, Ripple is still above 3$ and ETH just surpasses $1K.


Just like what they says, "all good things must come to an end". Alts have been rallying in the past months and they really took the spotlight, but the king is back and you will hear the roar of the herd already coming. Let's just wait for the next bull run. ;D

Yes even me feeling lucky holding my BTC ;D from a long run, actually fear a lot during the fall and they were thinking the predicting the bitcoin as a bubble but it is not a bubble for sure. People started investing in altcoin and many posts even in this forum were made that bitcoin is dead and it's no more game for the bitcoin. But I explained that it still has a lot of room for itself and expecting a good and big profit from the next new all-time high from the bitcoin price charts and so you just need to hold it for doing this thing.

It has been happening like this for so long time. But i dont think the reason of fall is only panic sells. It is a very good way to sell and buy from a deeper point to increase altcoin quantity in the portfolio.

said it 100 times... there will come a day, when BTC will be replaced.. it lost already half of it dominance of the market (from around 70% to 36%).. and the trend will continue. The pump right now of BTC isnt linked to any kind of new, hardfork, partnership, business... so nothing organic. It is alreavy very very very expensive. There are many many much more coins as usefull (and more useful also) than BTC.
In my opinion this will be just a pump and dump.. a few smart guys will have some profit, a bunch of "non-smart" guys will sell their alts cheap or with loses. time will tell us if i am right or i am an asshole.

I guess it all depends on your perception of how much bitcoin will rally, if you foresee that it's just the beginning and bitcoin can go to 20k or higher then it's wise to sell of your alts quickly and get in to bitcoin.

It's a loop that's always there. Former investors are welcome. But new investors are very impatient.

By now it has been a rule for several months, since September it has been working like this. Before maybe it was different...
These moments must be used to sell and buy at a discounted price.

actually, do not panic if you have like that. are you sure you only and is eagerly awaiting the results obtained will certainly be much bigger than on direct selling in a panic because the price of coins being dropped. quiet and not exposed to incitement.

Its always like that when BTC rise Altcoins goes down, and in a panic situation, people sell altcoins at a really low price, like if BTC increases 15% we'll see 20-25% decrease for altcoins.

The main thing is that everyone understands that the outdated bitcoin will soon die out, but they continue to believe in it, looking at all the price, but that for investment this is no longer attractive. In general, I will not be able to transfer money to the Alts and panic with both hands, especially now they please and grow no worse than bitcoins.

I think that people who already have experience in cryptocurrency from 6 months. Already seen this is not particularly panic. Panic newcomers. And for experienced traders it is a good opportunity to earn. To sell expensive to buy cheaper is the responsibility of the trader.
For beginners, I recommend that if you're not sure where the price will go just wait. Do nothing, you will lose more if you start with a hot head to do something. The cryptocurrency world a couple of years certainly will grow

Somehow it's always the same. :) I wasn't smiling when first time I lost hundreds of dollars as a newbie. I wish I knew somebody back in the days to warn me not to sell. Well, many of us paid their lessons in a hard way. There is nothing new under the son anymore. I'm a crypto warrior bearing many scares but would walk no other path.

The majority of people even smart than before how this a little correction gives nothing and you can still to see about the price of ethereum and ripple looks stable and only the bitcoin gets a lot of increase.
But this is not hurting cryptocurrency, especially for altcoin.
