Title: Potential earnings for BFL 500GH/s ASIC
Post by: omegaflare on August 07, 2013, 04:15:03 PM
Guys, I am planning to buy 50 GH/s and use that toward Slush's pool. So if I use that then my payout per month should be around 10-15k, no?

Let me know. PM ME so I will get the notification. Thanks.

Thanks.

Believe me, i have calculated nights and nights, but to be honest, with current difficulties, asic miners now and the upcoming 400Gh/s miners, the time is almost over to mine for profit. And you do know that when you buy from BFL that you will receive your order in about a few months? I have ordered one in April and it is still not here.

As a small stockbroker i would say...buy for that kind of money bitcoins...they will raise in the second quarter of 2014 like a mad man  ;D

1) You won't get that ASIC until next spring at the earliest.
2) By the time you get it, difficulty will be at least 10 times what it is now. You'll be mining maybe 0.05 bitcoins a day with a device you paid about 25 bitcoins for.
3) Even if you got it today, you'd only be making about $2100/month with it, and that only if difficulty does not increase (and it is).

It is going to get much harder to get ROI on unit because of the amount already purchased.   What you need to think about it your running costs to really figure out how long you can run it before it costs more to run it than what it outputs.   Many people are in high electricity cost areas and on top of that you need to think about cooling as well.   It will shake miners out over time.

The chances of any profits from purchasing a BFL product currently are next to 0.

Orders made now probably would not have a chance of arriving until the better half of 2014 is over.

You are far better off to do as suggested and just buy bitcoins.  If you really want to get into mining, a Avalon clone, KNC, or Bitfury are gambles with much better odds.

22k for 500gh.. damn I'm glad I was part of the 1500Gh for 30k club.  I would hate to see the ROI on the 500GH for 22k.

So, what if you're part of the KNC Sept Jupiter club?  And the KNC Oct. Jupiter Club?  Any luck there?
