Cool, that's basicly two A4+ LtcMasters in one nice package.

I guess the 3200 USD price mentioned at the website is not correct.

There are actually three different prices  :D

First, 56.476LTC equals about 17112 USD.

Second, they mention the USD price, 3200 USD.

Third, 0.614985 BTC equals about 10270 USD

Inno seems to be moving towards selling hardware to big scale customers only,
as they already previously changed the minimum order quantity to 50 units min..
And now they released this new even more industrial scale miner unit, the A6.

I wish they would still allow some smaller orders.  Seems a little unfeasible for a group buy.

Wow, it was hard enough to get one in the first place..

Guess now it'll be even harder. Not very good for decentralization.  :P

Yup but keep in mind this ships in about 2 weeks. Whens a earliest L3+ bath due for shipping now?
Both are Chinese manufacturer so expect issues along the way. Glad to see innosilocon bringing new products to the market to compete with Bitmain though.

Well at least Bitmain still sells for small customers as well.

Inno doesn't anymore.

It's a disappointment.

So if you are a small customers, you must walk to Bitmain or BW.com.

BW.com sells their BW-L21 miner at their own webshop, and also via an official distributor Hyperbit.

so 22 btc for 50 pieces

rounded

or 22 x 16500 =  363,000 usd /50 =  7260 usd  a unit  and  if in usa 3%  = 7500 usd a piece..

It might be possible, since they do accept a btc or ltc payment.

I have three A4+ coming to my house already, so I unfortunately have no need for a A6.

This A6 is basicly two A4+ units tied together.

There are some reputable members here at the forum, like philipma1957, who could be asked if he's interested about hosting a group buy.

A lot for me to handle  about 363,000 usd in btc

Not so sure I would like  to hold  that much  coin however briefly.

and  I would need to reship  so my rough estimate of 7500 usd a unit is low

more like 7700 or 7800.

Phil, yeah I agree that it would be a lot of units, a lot of money and a lot of work.

I understand if you rather pass this after the outcome with the Avalon group buy.

GPU's might be the best choice for most altcoin miners at the moment.

Expensive, only 100USD cheaper than two  A4+
And very overpriced shipping costs.

50 units min. quantity also bad joke...

I kind of smell Bitmain coming soon with a new Antminer L series miner,
Inno most likely also wanted to step in to the Gh/s scale game, so that they look good next to the competitor.

but as soon as the miners hit the mass
the difficulty will catch up too
and the price should increase to compensate for that

Looks like the value wont compensate completely which is why you have to buy en-mass or hodl

Yeah, it is most likely pretty much the same hardware inside the A6, than in the A4+ miner.

They can cut costs by putting two A4+ units as a one package, only need to use one controller.

Yeah, but a controller board has to be really cheap (the cost of producing it I mean). Maybe this is driven by marketing? They can impress with a GH/s announcement? I'm not sure what the hell are they doing :)

They need to start setting up some distributors though, then they don't have to deal with us "small fry".

There really needs to be miners for the little guys to keep the mining truly decentralized. With a MOQ of 50 and a price of $6300, you can expect the mark up for single units to be $12k-$13k. At that price you are better off buying a few titan v's and mining some alts. You will get better longevity and flexibility out of them

but as soon as the miners hit the mass
the difficulty will catch up too
and the price should increase to compensate for that

Bitmain has been pumping out thousands of L3/L3+ units over the last year - but difficulty has not gone up all that much.

Keep in mind that UNLIKE the situation with X11, there already was a quite large "installed base" of Scrypt ASIC miners in place prior to introduction of the L3 - and that the L3 wasn't "night and day" more efficient than some of them so most or all of the predating miners are STILL MINING.

The Scrypt situation is closer to the SHA256 situation, except that efficiency gains have been even HARDER to come by.

 Price NEVER follows difficulty.
Price is always a factor that leads TO difficulty increased over time.
There is NO SUCH THING as "the price should increase to compensate for that", never has been, never will be.

I really don't understand why is the fuss around A6 and where is the Novelty ??   :-\

Yes, it has 2.45 times more hash than Bitmain's L3+,  while is 2 times bigger,  AND 4 (FOUR) times more expensive !

A6's ROI is 153 days currently, but for the same hash power of 1.23GHz , if you use  (theoretically) 2.45 units of L3+  -  you will get ROI = 99 days

- which mean A6 is 50% less profitable than L3+  ;D

Simple answer here, I would rather spend a little more and get something more reliable. Innosilicon has had their problems in the past with software but once they work out the bugs on their units, they run very well. Also I really would like to see some more competition in the Asic space so I'm inclined to purchase real products when they come about from competitors.

I'd order one of these things today if they would sell to individuals...

 2 reasons.

 1) Better efficiency. In the long run, the A4 A4+ and A6 will still be profitable when the L3+ turns into a money-loser.
 2) RELIABILITY. Innosilicon has a TON BETTER reputation for reliability than Bitmain recent generations, and an INFINITELY better reputation for FIXING issues when they do crop up.

Overall though I'd prefer the A4+ *IF THE MOQ WAN'T SO INSANELY HIGH* due to the better flexability from it's much lower power draw.

I don't know about reliability of previous Innosilicon miners, but recent A5 was not of a high quailty.  Some of them started to burn, before Inno fixed this issue with updated software.

Also Inno delayed A5 for 2 monthes, while BM delivered D3 on time.

I also want more competition, but not with 50% higher price.

As oppposed to Bitmain that would have let them burn, based on PAST lack of effort at fixing issues in a timely way on the S9.

Depends on if you count the S9 as "decent" - given current pricing on Bitcoin (and that BitmainCrapHosted coin they force you to use), I suspect the next S9 batch price will drop down to the $2000 ballpark, perhaps even a bit under.

Are you sure they fixed the burning issue on A5?
Innosilicon issued warning last week with DIY instructions to remove a capacitor. Warranty is worthless.
A5 is worthless, 3 years to get ROI.

Still waiting for confirmation that they received funds for 3 A4+ units, standard response their accounts department verifying. That's 3 months gone

Don't risk your money here

Innosilicon FINALLY adding distributors is a good move - though long overdue.

The claims of the A5 being "3 times" better than the competition is overblown though - it's the best currently available but nowhere near 3 TIMES better than the Pinidea 22Mhash model, or even the Bitmain D3.

Y'all also need to work on your pricing, you're WAY HIGH on all of your current models even after factoring in for better performance compared to your competition.

Agreed that the MOQ is too high. The price is also too high in my opinion. Another problem is that bitmain L3+ is only 28mn. The S9 is 16nm though.

Not trying to pour cold water but I did some googling.
Inno A2 terminator which was on a 28nm chip did about 900-1000watt for 110mh. The antminer L3+, also on 28nm, does 504mh for 820w, which is better.
Inno A4+ and A6 is 14nm, and is about 20+% more efficient than an ant L3+. Problem is if bitmain comes up with a 14nm chip as well, it should be far more efficient than inno A4+ I would think.
However, I could be wrong and it doesnt occur.

The A2 (I have a FEW of them) is close to 1250 watts for 110 Mhash at the wall (one of mine is 1240, one is 1260, both running Seasonic X-1250 due to issues/limitations of the original gold-rated PS).
They pull around 1070 watts for 110 Mhash (which is the practical limit on the original PS, but some later ones and many "aftermarket upgraded" ones have bigger PS - I have 2 that are NOT upgraded, one at 1055 one at 1085 watts for 100 Mhash).
The older A2 88 model (I have ONE) pulls 980 watts for that 88 Mhash.

These numbers will vary some on each unit depending on ASIC quality.

The ASIC was not well optimized, the KNC Titan was noticeably more efficient (though not nearly as much so as the L3/L3+ which IS a highly optimised design).

If Bitmain comes up with a 14/16 nm based Scrypt miner, I would expect it to be about twice as efficient as the L3/L3+ - at which point Innosilicon will probably be playing "more reliable at a cost in efficiency" again.

For reference, even with the major price drop on Litecoin over the last month and despite the MASSIVE increase in hashrate over the past year, my A2s are STILL profitable (but even at MY very low electric rate they're getting marginal again, like they were around this time LAST year before the big price jumps).

I believe u calculated wrongly because at 5 cents usd electricity, your A2 breaks even currently. Anything higher and u are losing money. Also it only makes a few oe couple of bucks a month at below 5 cents.

TODAY they make money.
When I shut them down they were RIGHT AT break even - but Litecoin has recovered more than $20 since that point.

My electric rate is less than 5 cents/KWH - though not by a lot.

Also, I was using the POOL net hashrate for the farm, not the "theoretical" numbers, which are always a little higher.
Total at the POLL is usually 480 Mhash give or take a couple.
I was also using ACTUAL MEASURED power consumption, not the Innosilicon "claimed" numbers which were somewhat optimistic for the "turbo" mode - which works out to around 5550 watts right now as my measurements were at 117 VAC but the miners are currently running at 234 VAC which helps PS efficiency a percent or two.

Interesting situation in terms of breaking even with the A6- with an electrical cost of $0.10/kWh and a pool fee of 1%, at current rates you're going to make around $5,350 a year mining LTC, which doesn't give you a lot of room for profit, and LTC difficulty is almost certainly going to increase, albeit it's not going up as quickly at the moment as Bitcoin. MOQ of 5 kills it for most people (including me), but the L3+ isn't the leader in efficiency anymore, though at current estimations the L3+ still breaks even significantly quicker than the A6- roughly 240 days compared to 310 on the A6. I'm not touching this with the pricing and MOQ.
