I've got some of both but I still want to know you're thoughts.

Do you think these are a good investment atm? And which of the two are you more keen on?

I feel like Raiblocks might explode sometime soon. I'm sort of getting the same impression that I got with Ethereum late last year, but I still made the mistake of selling my ETH and not trusting my gut. Of course, even though I want to trust my gut, my gut isn't magical and I don't have absolute confidence.

XRB is certainly the more popular coin at the moment, especially with it's pending listing on Binance. If you're looking for short terms gains that might be your answer right there.

I will choose XRB,ive heard it doesnt require any transaction fee? a zero transaction fee is a game changer.

I think IOTA hype is over for now, people are HODLing it right now, but raiblocks are not listed on big exchanges, soon it will be listed on Binance, so it will go to the moon. also technologically XRB is better than IOTA.

I believe IOTA (https://coincodex.com/crypto/iota/) has more potential in longterm. It's forming a bullish flag so I'd expect it to explode soon.

IOTA does have the potential to get more buyers. If there is a lot of coins on the market then be prepared for the price to tank a little.

Long-term I would go for iota.. Short-term I would go for Raiblocks.

Both are good. I have decided to go with xrb after missing out when it was $0.60 and went with sub 😭
With the fast fee-less transaction speed and prospect of more exchanges, it would make a good pairing/medium for transfer of funds particularly when buying tokens at different exchanges and the ability to purchase quickly to catch the market at the right time imo.

I own both and I like both.

But keep in mind that XRB will not automatically skyrocket a long time. There are seroius issues with the desktop wallet. And with serious issues, I mean unusable for a lot of people. Webwallet works, but is not everybodys preferred method of storing.

This. i can't use the desktop wallet because it kills my network. Have to restart router every time i try.

I think that IOTA has a much better team and strong supportive mass. so I find it more sensible as a forward looking investment.

I would say that IOTA is much more renown, however this XRB seems very interesting. Especially since IOTA still has a lots of problems - slow listing, a very bad wallet etc.
Whoever offers easy transactions will take a win and attract adoption.

On the technical side, because both target to fix the BTC scaling issues, IOTA is not comparable:
- It has a centralized "transaction director" and it is not clear when and how it will be "decentralized" and what will be the consequence
- They claim that it can have instant transaction when it will have more user, but it is not the case currently
- They say that it can handle 1000, maybe 1500, but thats far from what XRB can reach: https://i.imgur.com/oRpO8lc.gif

XRB lack a good wallet, has a bad branding currently, is on no good exchange, but on the technical side, Its Blockchain technology is so far the best that exists.

RaiBlocks promises to deliver zero-fee transactions in real time without the same work-intensive overhead and energy consumption as Bitcoin. Like IOTA, RaiBlocks uses a directed acyclic graph algorithm, but instead of using DAG for the tangle, RaiBlocks employs its own novel tech called the block-lattice.
RaiBlocks is the solution to Bitcoin scalability and latency issues.

xrb and byteball are the ones i would go for

IOTA and Raiblocks, being completely different in their device, nevertheless, definitely have common application areas. Each team has its own vision of the future, and now it is impossible to say whether one winner or each project will find its niche. In any case, the appearance of one "perfect" coin is at least unlikely. However, now it is just as impossible to say anything definite as to whether it is possible to create a reliable crypto currency with unlimited scalability and no commissions for transactions.

why are you feeling that? because from where i am standing XRB seems pretty pumped right now.

as for investment, both have good potential of rise but maybe not now since they both are already pumped and they are in their after pump period where people still buy and lose money because price is dropping.
invest in others while these two consolidate and then come back.

In my opinion, both coins are a good investment.
And in the near future ripple can jump more

My suggestion, worth investing in both the coin.

I would diversify the portfolio to 40% of IOTA and 60% of ITC. Take a look of ITC, it is.undervalued right now, with no hype still. Only on some of exchanges. When it will come to Binance, you know what will happen...

I dont have any IOTA or XRB in my wallet but I research the different between this two I must prefer to hold IOTA than xrb some expert said also that iota are better than xrb even the popularity are almost in xrb now.

I like more xrb.. Before xrb is only 900satoshi year july 2017 and now look the value its almost 200k satoshi they pump and dump.im so much regret before i have 3k xrb i dump it in small amount.

My opinion is we should go with IOTA. After so much struggle and achievement of the market equalisation it has got all new heights now a days. The one thing that make sure about the IOTA is that its not moving up and downwards very quickly and thats important for its stability. There are many other coins which are going crazy rather staying stable. IOTA is also well developed project and it has shown its promise upto the market. These all things are getting IOTA on the top and I like it when some projects are stable like this.

Apart from this XRP on the hand is good project too but not as stable as it could have been. The prices are very high and only investors with big buck can hope to get into it. At least I'm not taking the risk for such high prices. While IOTA gives freedom of choosing the lower rates for now.

xrb won the Binance Community Coin Contest so i believe it is in a good position right now

why not byteball? It's a DAG just like these two, but with a much smaller market cap, which means it has way more room to grow.

Also both of these communities moderate their threads very hard and censor all criticism

I would prefer IOTA only because of many large partnerships that they have had. Google search trend shows number of people interested in IOTA is way more than raiblocks. I don't know if that really matters but people tend to fall more towards the coin which has more partnership like things. XRB was a good buy just a month back it could have made you millionaire.

Definitely IOTA because I have been with IOTA since the start of this project. Im personally attached with all its social and blog groups and have seen how these guys have made the project work in reality. IOTA pumped last month due to its core devs and on the hand XRB was big pump since last week. The pump was too high for short period of time and sometimes it makes me think that it could be juts artificial pump. The case with the IOTA is extremely reverse where the pump was completely natural and over the long course of period. You see my point being here is which one being used as pump coin and which one is actually into development stages or being developed with steps. That is IOTA and it will be good investment always.

go on iota i believe soon it will be increasing so much in middle of the year. iota will be supperior after tokyo blockchain that held on febuary or may i believe.

I believe in IOTA long term. Now price is kinda stuck around 4. So it is a great time to enter. My last purchase of Iota was a disappointment so far, I could use this money to gain at least 2x on some coins. But you never know, could be a massive pump to get back to top5. Price can be 20 USD easily, it is just slightly above 50 bln in market cap, less than a half of what Ripple is having now.

I would say my choice is Byteball, the first token on DAG technology. Also it has a great lead developer and a powerful community.

I also am a great fan of BYTEBALL and IOTA is more hyped up than any of the DAGS so I think that is why it has had a lot of traction. We will see over the coming months which of the coins will take dominance over the others in the market so it will be very interesting to see how it will play out and which Community will win over in the end. Maybe having holdings of all coins will make the holder a winner.

I think RaiBlocks  have bigger future.
Even if you are looking for speculation only, XRB lost nearly 30% of it's value in last 48 hours and is still not hardly pumped as IOTA is.

If you want to make a long-term investment - buy IOTA till 2020. Really. This will give you much more that you expect. And buing raiblocks now is not such a great idea, i think you understand why

If you're all talking about Iota being over hyped by going 3x in a month than XRB is definitely over hyped because it went 100x from a month ago that is insane.

IOTA also has no FEES

RaiBlocks was trading for $0.22 and a market cap of a little over $30 million as recently as late November. Now, it’s at $35 a share and a market capitalization of $4.6 billion. Making up for earlier Technological glitches and appearing on two major exchanges, i think xrb a better choice.

the right question is, what do you need? IOTA will be visible in the long run and XRB is just a moment pump game and then down drastically.
just adjust what you see in the short term play on XRB, but if you need long-term benefits save IOTA.

XRB has a great product today, IOTA will maybe have a great(er) product tomorrow. I dont like investing in maybees, there is enough time to jump on the train when the proof comes.

I am impressed with both. Fast transaction, no charge. So I invested both. Hope they soon on the moon this year

Really difficult to say, they've both gone up hugely recently. I would probably go with Raiblocks out of the two, but I'm not sure if it's over-hyped at the moment.

IOTA has a very strong project and idea. This is a world-scale project that can be adopted all over the world. And this gives reason to think that now IOTA is a great coin for investing. My choice is IOTA because it's a pioneer of such kind of projects.

They will start trading it when they officially announce it and a wallet is made for XRB.

If I was to select of them, I would get both at the same time instead. But here it will be like 85% IOTA plus 15% XRB. I don't want to get much XRB even if I really want to get more. I don't think more price inflation will happen in it.

From the proposed options, I certainly choose IOTA because this project has very, very great prospects, which eventually can even move our pet bitcoin. So I choose IOTA

Definitely IOTA. A lot of partnerships and projects already announced or in the making.

The IOTA project has a very large potential. This coin is very promising and in the future we will see how its price will grow at times.

XRB maybe new but this is a good project to watch,it doesnt require you transaction fees like IOTA.

Both has it own speciality.i have raiblock and has sold it all. Better sell and move on to the next level. But for me i will not only look for this two as there always be a new one that need to be explore.

COLX is another project which has zero transaction fees and you can scoop up cheap

Though both coins offer fast and 0 fee transactions they are made to serve different purposes. XRB has the vision to replace Bitcoin and take over due to Bitcoin scaling. And IOTA is more of a Coin working on Internet of Things concept for smart devices. If I were you I would go for both as they are promising coins and have a great future ahead. Also do note IOTA still doesn't have a proper wallet or a working product. One thats achieved its going to moon. On the other hand XRB needs more of adoption into the marketplace. XRB getting listed on Binnance within 2 weeks should give it a good boost in price. So I feel its the right time to get in.

IOTA and Raiblocks, all quite different in their device. Either way, each of the two coins has a different vision of the future.
But I still prefer IOTA because I think there is a brighter future.

I will do the same, because IOTA seems much stable and its growth is gradual and safer than XRB, even it will not going to dump hard in future in worst situations. While observing the XRB, it seems too volatile and with high uncertainty, the rapid increase could be risky but overall both the coins have too much potential to rise in future, so i will diversify my investment in both.

Under an investment perspective I'd rather buy something still in the beginning of the bull run such as IoT Chain (ITC). XRB and IOTA have some small differences that could make them both valuable for different niches, although both are going to be used in IoT mostly.

I like them both.  I hold IOTA as a long-term play.  XRB is a big high for more than just short/med term trades.   

If i have the cash, i will do both in equal proportion 50%: 50%.

Right now, I think XLM is the best choice when compared with IOTA about price, XLM's price is increasing and it has a strong community, good dev team.

I will choose also XRB the price is low right now. It can possible take over in to top 10 market cap once they hit a better exchange like bittrex, poloneix and binance and the price of XRB will 100 usd + at that time.

Both are recovering from overheated hype buying, think you'll be able to get them cheaper in a few weeks as people shift back into the big 10

They actually don't have anything in common other than offering 0 fee transactions

RaiBlocks is basically how Bitcoin should have been from the beginning. It offers:
- Instant transaction
- Transaction cost ZERO fees
- There's no inflation (133,248,289 XRB and there wont be more)

It is also designed in a very simple way, all components are just perfectly chosen from what we learnt from bitcoin, you should read the wipe paper and check the github (it is fully open source in clean c++ also!), but here's some of the key parts:
- There's one Blockchain per account so all accounts can do transactions asynchronously. It is how it breaks the scalability limit that all other coins have.
- A block is only one transaction and it is fully created by the owner of the account/Blockchain, so there's no need of a 3rd party like a miner to build the blocks and you dont have to worry that your transaction get lest in the "Mempool" ... there's no Mempool. You build your block, add it to your Blockchain, broadcast it and done!
- The consensus mechanism is a vote involving all representatives on conflicting blocks. So you don't need to wait for multiple blocks to have a confirmation.. one vote and it is confirmed.
- Anyone can be a representative, you just need to run the full nodes and it requires no "proof of work", so it is not CPU intensives and you get rewarded by getting "recognition" from those that delegate their XRB voting power to you. It is how there's no fee or inflation.

Will it get enough visibility to replace Bitcoin? I dont know... but I know that if we want crypto-currencies to succeed, we need what RaiBlocks is.

Honestly I'd have to go with Raiblocks on this one just because of the Lattice feature that allows each user to have their own blockchain of sorts. Iota's Tangle seems to rely on each user's transaction movement thus creating congestion that can slow down their network. So based on what I've read about the tech behind each coin, I almost got caught up on the Tangle but after looking at teh Lattice of Railblocks I don't see how they can be compared.

Price? Sure Iota comes in lower so for that alone I'd probably pick some up ( tried to but struggled with the creation of the seed and also I wasn't connecting so I had to pass and move onto ADA aka Cardano. Still if Raiblocks was in my range for a coin I'd probably jump on that now.

I believe it would be smart to hold both, since they are DAG but have different priority use cases. IOTA for enterprise data and XRB as c2c currency.

Xlm price bump like crazy and i dont trust Xlm for long term invest.

Yes I think is more popular as of now. They really good because of fast transaction and 0 fees. I have Iota but right now I really prefer XRB I hope it is not too late to buy.

people are hodling IOTA, mainly because if you use an IOTA wallet it's a pain to get your coins in or out of it. the technology does not seem to be ready or able to cope and their support forum is a joke. multiple threads by people with the same repeating issues and next to no developer support. im still waiting over 24 hours for pending transaction to be received.

Raiblocks(XRB) showed a big rising in the january, but I am not sure about that it is better than IOTA. In my opinion, IOTA have a really good potential for the future.

IOTA is a best choice. XRB is going down and soon it'll vanish but IOTA is on the long run on the market and I've never heard anything bad about that nice coin.
