Title: TRC getting attacked (as usual)
Post by: meta.p02 on August 08, 2013, 03:56:59 PM
Difficulty has been stuck at 5255.042 for many blocks now...

The timestamps are also jumping back and forth...

The fuzziness is due to the block times jumping forward 2min, back 3min, forward 2.3min, ...

Both the block explorer and CoinChoose say there is currently 2.5TH/s hitting TRC, up from 500+ GH/s earlier today...

(Question here: Seeing as the block timings are spaced very closely, how is the difficulty not skyrocketing?)

I've observed the terracoin for a while. Don't blame the attacker. It is the stupidity of the developer.

So... a time-warp attack? Wasn't that fixed in the latest release? Or is this a smaller version of the time-warp attack which the network is not resistant to?
