Title: warning! Ebay deleting all bitcoin auctions..
Post by: Andre Jensen (World Bitcoin Exchange) on July 08, 2011, 08:33:07 AM
Welcome

Ebay is deleting all bitcoin auctions due to T&C infringements, this is a call to bitcoin traders, Miners and the community to boycott ebay and start using www.worldbitcoinexchange.com here you can list your bitcoins free and we have a success fee that dwarfs the ebay fee of 0.75% and you only pay when your item sells, the fee matches mainstream exchanges like mt gox and tradehill.

this will be a community trusted website not a third party website, deal direct with the buyer.

this is where i will communicate with the community to develop the website, and heres the first....

My logo is a bit crappy can anyone help

tell me your thoughts and happy bidding

thanks for your support.....

i really need your support i've taken the necessary steps to safe guard the community via sitelock and various other security programs, iv also introduced a feedback rating system the regulates trade on the site this is not uncommon on ebay.

Now im working on payment gateways

I think eBay is not really good place for selling bitcoins...
So it is quite normal to ban such things.

Yeah, it's pretty empty at the moment.  Pretty much just set it up.  But the feedback system should make reputable sellers find responsible buyers outside of the normal trading sites.

Technically speaking, because the forum posts in the trade sections are locked, when you paste your post URL in a feedback for another user, everyone can see the positive trade.

If you wanted to trade a physical product for BTC, or BTC for physical product, this can be done here.  If the forum gets a ton of members, someone could post up things for sale in exchange for BTC.

Sign up!  Try it out?

Awwww, man... eBay is deleting auctions that break their rules? That's mean! I'm gonna hold my breath until I turn blue if they don't stop this  ;)

We all know that eBay/PayPal and Bitcoin don't mix well. There have been a number of posts here over the past month about auction de-listing due to TOS violation or auctions that did happen and then the buyer/seller got screwed. This action should surprise no one and boycotting eBay because of it really will not solve anything. Besides, why not use a proper exchange like MtGox or TradeHill? That's what they are there for.  8)
