Title: Claymore problem: GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, 2048 MB (instead of 4096)
Post by: sprlm on January 07, 2018, 01:08:54 PM
Hi,

I'm making my first steps in mining and I've got Claymore up and running. However, it won't start mining because it can't create the DAG file. When I start Claymore it lists my video card as:
GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, 2048 MB
even though it is a 4096 MB card.

Does anyone have a suggestion about what causes this / how to fix it?

Download a little software called GPU-Z and you will see how much you gpu actualy have.

thanks!

...it turns out my video card really is 2GB, even though I couldn't find that version online  :(

Is there still any economic mining possibilities on a 2GB GPU I could explore? I'd like some experience in how it works before I start making investments :)
