There's definitely some hype going on. And what is easier that to resell something that already is successful. It would be harder if "Bitcoin" was some protect brand/trademark, I guess.

It's still amazing (or maybe scary) though how much of those things pop up everywhere.  8)

I can't even keep track of the amount of BTC-forks anymore. At what point will it stop?  ???

Another coin scam, the same as bitcoin gold, do not get involved in it.

Another coin scam, the same as bitcoin gold, do not get involved in it.

Bitcoin Gold may be a scam and shouldn't even be called a fork because of the premine. But you can't deny that existing BTC holders got $300-$400 per bitcoin because of the creation of Bitcoin Gold.
Just consider these coins as a free gift, convert them to Bitcoin at the first available opportunity, and then ignore them,

From the second half of December to early January, it was planned to hold seven to eight forks of bitcoin. The time has passed, but no information about these forks, at least on this forum, yet. Instead, information appears about new possible bitcoins. I'm generally positive, but I treat these forks and think that the market will give them an assessment. However, of course, these forks should not be so much.

Looks like an Ethereum clone using the BTC name. Just another fork/clone with no real purpose, other than making $$$ for the founders.

Oh jeez. stop it please with all those shitcoin forks.

The problem with all those, even if there is some nice quirk - nobody uses them.

Even technically really good coins have little usage, other than eth, btc, bch, dash xmr and a few others.

Now a days lot of forks coming which produces useless coins so people don't have to invest on these coins because they don't have any future value. But I am still confused whey there are lot of forks which is happening often and I am confused these coins are useful for the investors or the founders.

Maybe it's time someone creates Bitcoin Fork

so when it forks, it becomes a Bitcoin Fork fork

For me that was just a soon-to-fork coins. Having 21B supply? It will be just like DOGE or maybe, worst.

I had not heard about this until now but 21BN is a huge number, maybe is from which its name derives because its price should be "Nano".

Is it traded yet? I don’t hear about this coins. I need more time to watch on the site about it. I have heard about Ledger Nano for bitcoins. Are sure that you haven’t been mistaken? Maybe we a talking about different things.

I think everyone is forking Bitcoin just to make fast money and then the project dies.

I'm skeptical, look at the fact that there's only 1 contributor and meaningless commits on their github https://github.com/bitcoinnano/node-stratum-pool/graphs/contributors

Title: Re: Bitcoin Nano?
Post by: Vansire on January 15, 2018, 03:28:41 PM
Since Bitcoin itself is divisible into Satoshi, supply is more or less meaningless. In practice tho a lot of coins with a huge supply have been pumped to the stratosphere and beyond, so I'll think about taking a speculative position. I wonder why, is there a reason why people like smaller prices better than large prices? But sometimes you should forget about logic.

And again projects based on bitcoin? Are not you guys tired of cheating people? Why do we need the fork of bitcoin again? Tell me, what did he bring to humanity? A new transaction transfer model? Or something ultra new? I do not think so.

to good to be real, i mean they said 1000btn=1btc, but they give 100btn/register with the btn price like they said its mean 0.1 btc... so its not reasonable

Maybe i didn't heared about this or maybe this is fake. Bitcoin has divided their virtual currency into many, may be they have a big plan to capture the whole market share.

There were too many splits of bitcoin to create new coins and I realized that it did not work. I've never been to this Bitcoin nano project, this is really something far and away. If it really exists who can help me provide some more information about this project.

I also heard it, why always hardfork? well, maybe too much hardfork has happened, and I also read if hardfork happens as a refinement of BITCOIN, but if I see this, it seems there will still be another hardfork that will appear

I do not think nano is a rubbish coin, I paid close attention to its official website, white paper, github and so on, compared to other fork currency, nano more reliable。 :)

Ledger Nano is a hardware wallet built upon a banking smartcard platform. It keeps the user's private keys safe, validates transactions, can be used as a secure prepaid card or a multi-signature party. While not open-source, it can be deterministically validated.  :)

This coin is a shitcoin. 21 billion supply waiting to be dumped once investor took a bait on their hype. But i believe this scheme will not going to be successful because people already learned form their mistakes in the past.

Bitcoin Nano (BTN) is a snapshot fork of Bitcoin. We will take Bitcoin blockchain snapshot at block 501888, and a new cryptocurrency will be generated, which will be called as Bitcoin Nano. Bitcoin Nano applies Equihash, one PoW algorithm, which can effectively prevent ASIC mining. Hope expect more people to participate in the Bitcoin Nano project and grow together.

Nano (https://coincodex.com/crypto/raiblocks/) is holding pretty strong. Up 10% while the rest of the market dips in red :O

This is the first time that I'm hearing about this fork, I tried to look it up on CMC but I can't find it. It's probably just another scam fork like hundreds of others but I'll do some digging and figure it out myself if it's even worth it doing the hassle to fork my coins safely.

Is it already traded in any exchange and is the chain already out?

Hello Dears! For me, a very good project! RaiBlocks – Commission-free and quick transaction, which utilizes a new structure for block-grid PoS and delegated voting. The network requires minimal resources!

Stop investing in scam forks. So far the only bitcoin fork that seems that it has managed to do well is bitcoin cash and I do not even understand how they managed that. You should know that there will always be scammers that will keep making bitcoin fork coins in order to make a lot of money from investors, don't fall themselves, just invest in bitcoin itself and you are safe.
