Title: I got a negative feedback. What next?
Post by: spirit of btc on January 07, 2018, 06:37:58 PM
Hi People, today when I logged into my account, I saw that I had a negative feedback for no reason. Later I checked my recent posts and only bad thing I did was to reply to a thread that said account for sale.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2695491.msg27594719#msg27594719

Out of curiosity I was trying to know the price of sale. I was at no point of buying/selling any account.
I very well understand that buying/selling accounts for higher levels is bad to this forum.
I would appreciate any help that leads to removal of the negative.
Thanks

I am interested. Can you please send the link to the profile please.

Since when does having interest in an account sale not mean that you want to buy the account?

What the fuck kind of logic are you working with?

Dude, did you delete that post or what?  I'm trying to quote it but it says it doesn't exist.  You said "I'm interested".  That's what your post said, so no one in their right mind would not think you weren't looking to buy the account.  Hence there should be no confusion as to why you got tagged, should there?

Glad you called attention to yourself with this, because I'm more than happy to add to your feedback--and everyone else who wanted to buy that idiot's account.  Serves you right.

Scammer logic.  It also sounds like drug addict logic, but I'm not casting any aspersions.

You suck at lying don't you? The thread clearly said that the Buy it now price was 0.02 BTC or did that part went over your head?  ::)

"Asking for the price of a gun doesn't mean that I am buying the guy and putting a bullet in a random guy"

I know it feels kind of scam but I was not into it.

Asking the price of the gun shows that you have the hidden thought in mind about buying it later on and possibly commit some crime.

Let me make this clear to you. Buying accounts on bitcointalk is not illegal and it goes around nicely. Sometimes they are legit accounts and sometimes its scammer tactics to scam newbies (at least I dont expect older members of the forum to fall for them but they also get fooled)

However this practice is looked down upon since buying an account only leads to people scamming others taking advantage of the trade history and the shitposting which plagues the forum. Even if you did not buy its important to mark the "potential account buyers". That is why you deserve a red mark now.

I will also be leaving a negative trust on your account.

The point here is I haven't committed any crime, by all means I was honest. This kind of policing to prevent future crimes isn't good for the forum.

What makes you think that? You can still trade around, just because you got negative trust doesn't means you can't trade with members over here.. It doesn't hinders your ability to make posts, add 'valuable' comments to the discussion or does it?  ::)

I'll just go ahead and tell people that I'm interested in buying methamphetamines, and just in case they're a cop I'll tell them I didn't actually buy it, so I didn't commit a crime. I'll continue to tell them that it's bad to infer what other people's intentions are just because they appear to be buying illicit drugs.
This is not how logic works.

It is very difficult to underrstand what you meant when you wrote that you are interested. In what? You did not explain the real reason why you got a negative feedback.

The fact that you wanted to buy someone's account is probably the reason why you are getting the negative red trust rating. I mean looking at your post seems like you are really interested in buying the account of someone who has a higher and you didn't work for. Because there are lot of accounts buying happening and using to farm to invest more in bitcoin and avoid the start of being a newbie again.
