I recently removed the subject coin, loaded with 1 BTC, for sale because it was multi-sig and I did not possess the second key. The second key (your key) is described below:

“We will never see your Passphrase (Your key), and you'll see our Coin Secret (Our key) only by removing the temperproof hologram. You will have the option to print a certificate with your Passphrase, Public Key and Coin Address after the order has been placed. If you chose not to print the certificate, be sure to remember your Passphrase or Password as it will be needed to redeem your Bitcoin in the future.”

I’ve contacted The person I bought it from and it appears he never had possession of this certificate or has lost it. This is a last ditched effort to see if someone can come through for me big time. If you can assist me in claiming the Btc either because you have the key or know who the original buyer was and the leads me to the key, I will give you 0.1 BTC.

Apologies ahead of time, but I’m going to bump this thread once a day through Friday before moving on with my life.

There was a page on the site where you were able to print your 2FA certificate. (When opting to buy a 2FA coin you had to input the passphrase and you’d received an email with a link to the certificate for printing).
I think the site may be down so that may not be of much help.
Either way, contact Jonathan. It can’t do much harm in trying.

P.S if you do redeem it let me buy the coin off you. I love that series!  :D

Edit: I can’t open the link I received when purchasing and I’m not certain I remember my 2FA passphrase either! Luckily it’s not funded though 😂

I did contact cryptolator, it’s out of his purview now. As I undersgayit,  a pass phrase had to be generated in order to create the public address. So getting access to the website may not be helpful

is the merlin and copper series of the unchained coin the same with multi sign?

or is it just peel the hologram and I can access funds with the private key behind?

I own seven

The ones you mentioned are all just standard private keys that you can redeem. For the silver series the creator gave a choice of how you wanted the coin (assembled, 2FA or DIY). You should be fine.

Crossing my fingers for you OP, the buyer should be on the forum somewhere. Perhaps check the original sales thread as it's quite a low number so possibly someone who posted early (on the thread) was the purchaser, but they haven't seen this thread or have been recently inactive...

That's actually a good idea, it was Def bought off here and most likely they are still active.  I'd check every cryptolator thread created, and pm people who bought some of them.  Did cryptolator keep any records of who bought what from them, maybe they can check their old pms to see if they can help you out.

This is the reason I will never buy any 2 factor coins. I hope this gets worked out, but I just never trust not having the sole key needed for redemption.
