Title: Any differences between running a GPU vertical or horizontal ?
Post by: couzer on January 08, 2018, 10:56:24 AM
Hello Guys,
Question is below.

Im thinking of that cause i saw a youtube video of genesis mining how they put their gpu in horizontal and i dont know if its about space, or because an unsymetrical physical load ? (Cause of the gravitation Force + centripetal force ?).

I got already a lot of GPU Fans killed and maybe it could be the reason ?!

there is no difference in position GPU.
Main it must open from front and backside for better cooling

Well personally I think GPUs need to be horizontally spaced, it's just how they were designed, but you can do vertical. The only thing I wold think is how the dissipation of heat is.

orientation don't matter but I agree horizontal is my preference.  I am sure when cards are designed they  test in that manner and not vertical.  Maybe I am wrong but i doubt it because I am never wrong!   :P

Heat not problem only got a nice airflow system over there but i got alot gigabyte fans already killed
