Title: Bit pit newb thread
Post by: josephholsten on July 08, 2011, 05:31:35 PM
I know some people trying to use bitp.it haven't earned the cred here to post outside the newbie forum. If you've got questions, ask them here!

- Having problems?
- Need help with your miners?
- Just want to know more about bitp.it?

I won't be posting news updates here, you can still get them in the main thread: http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=12181.0

Hey Joseph, I put a couple of cards on to help out with this biatch of a round  ... It made me wonder are there stats somewhere that show things like the longest round completion time for a pool?

Need a few more people to join in on bit pit ..apart from this round being a real PITA this is the most stable and the best stales figures of all the pools I have tried in the last month.

Come and join in people...Maybe YOU will be the one to claim the 5 BTC bounty

Welcome!

Thanks for the kind words about our pool. We agree, the current round has been painful, but probability is quickly growing on our side  :D

I don't know of any single source for round duration information. Most pools keep that internal. I've browsed around several pools, and have looked at their rounds stats. It's all about luck. We had several very, very, lucky rounds.... now it's our turn to have a rather unlucky one. It all evens out with time.

Also, thanks for noticing our ultra low stale rate. That's something we've worked pretty hard on, and continue to do so. We'd love to eventually claim to have no stales.... although that's not a realistic goal  ;D
