Title: Poor support on exchanges
Post by: parepare on January 08, 2018, 06:04:08 PM
Is there any exchange which have good support? Im freaking out on those shitty exchanges which needs months to answer of fucking question. Bittrex was one of better exchanges out there, but im waiting 20 days to answer me on support ticket. Is that normal? I wish all those lame exchanges to shut off. They take so much money every second every day, and they still dont have proper support, and what poor support means? It means they dont give a fuck about their customers, they only think about money. Becouse i didnt saw on any exchange that taking money doesnt work. They took their fees perfectly, no single problem with it. Liqui too, i cant login on their exchange, and they dont answer for days too. In this volaite crypto world even 1 minute can be important, and they dont answer for days or weeks. How the fuck is that possible?

Many of these exchanges simply cannot handle the sheer volume they are experiencing. The past few months have seen record numbers of users, and most exchanges are staffed by a small number of people busy trying to upgrade their infrastructure to handle the number of people. By doing this they solve future problems but at the same time it takes away from their ability to answer support tickets for current users.

Your frustrations are understandable and I'm in no way defending any of these exchanges, but I think it helps to understand both sides of the situation.

I undestand that crypto exploded in short period of time. The thing which i dont understand is their way of management. You've never been to a hotel that receives 10 people and has accommodated 20 people. And even if they want that 20 people, they will make new places and hire more people. And this market is so voilate to wait days and weeks for them to fix their service. I didnt lose nothing too much, but what with people who trading with hundrets of tousands or even millions of dollars? 20 days and no answer man. 20 days. Nothing cant justify that. There are everywhere people who needs a job. It is all about their greed, nothing else.

If we do on neutral side then we would really say such thing regarding on the possible reasons which the things you do say here is most probably the cause why exchanges do have worst support responsiveness as of now because of those possible reasons which is true. Having small staffed with lots of backlogs or pending works which would really result on taking up the time for support response and they should really put emphasis on this thing because people do always prefer to have a good support especially into these days.

Most of the exchanges had the same type of problems months ago with lower amount of visitors. Somewhere in the middle of the past summer I've also seen conplains about slow responds on the tickets. With a small lack of transparency from the side of exchanges sometimes it seem like they are just too greedy and don't wint to hire more people to customer support.
The situation went completely out of control recently so they even have problems with API.

Talking on good support as of now then most probably they can be seen or experienced into newer exchanges for sure like Kucoin etc. I'm a user from that site itself and support is active compared to other which is expected because they are just new but I do still expect that sooner or later they would end up on slowing too just like on what we saw on current exchanges as of now. I have seen that they did able to stop registrations which is a good step for them to resolve delayed works (tickets handling, upgrades.)

@parepare

Do you know the full name of the owner of bittrex? probably not!
Do you know where the bittrex headquarters is? probably not!
Do you know who is the owner of yobit? probably not!
Do you know where yobit's headquarters are? probably not!

these exchanges treat their clients badly because they are not regulated by the government, they are not required to have licenses and have properly licensed physical offices, we have these problems.

Most global exchanges or trading platform have the same issue, as cryptocurrency become more popular in the past few months cause massive register and transactions on exchanges. Hundreds of tickets maybe not a problem, but how about hundreds of thousands of tickets and maybe Millions of tickets submitted every day? Exchanges have to recruit new staffs but we don't know whether they want to or just keep their work with the current member of their team.
Fortunately, I never have this issue, local exchange in my country works so well, maybe the best exchange in the world.

Local exchanges, or services, more precisely said, offer sublime customer support and user experience, which is something the actual exchanges can never do due to their size. It has always been like that, the larger a business grows, the less they start caring about their customers, and thus the less their general support will be, which is damn bad. It's a form of arrogance that I don't like, and for that reason really admire the smaller services trying to differentiate themselves by doing right what larger competitors do wrong. It's a pretty well diversified market we're moving in, which is a win for everyone here.

Yes,I do agree with you once they became popular they don't care about the customers so we have to pick an exchange with out any faults.I like Poloniex is better exchange and it provides less transaction fee over the Bittrex. So people can use Poloniex if they have issues with other exchanges. If someone wants to trade bitcoins then go with localbitcoins which is easy and comfortable over the other exchanges.

I understood that you have many trouble with the trading site's support team. At least one time in the trading experience everyone might face these kind of situation. We need to check with the e-mail support and web tool page.
These options were the prominent option used by the people and most of the people use to get the few helps from the email only. You need to wait for some days to get the reply from the support executives.

This is the main problem, there are a lot of IT experts out there or fresh graduate from colleges which ready to help exchanges to ease their burdens with Million of tickets waiting for an answer. They have so much money and they can hire some new employees.
Yes, there are a lot of IT experts out there, but the hard thing to recruit new employees is; to find a trusted person because in most cases of hacked happened due to the insiders of the exchanges. Nevertheless, no need to assigning new employees to do an important task which provides access to the funds/coins, just hand over the task to handle the customer services and answers all those tickets :D

I'm been a IT technical support a few years ago, although I'm a experience hire, its easy for me for in a sense to see how much money is flowing in the big company that we support, but we never did any inside job thing because we all know that the full hands of law will be coming. And there are tickets that we need to priotized, those critical that affects the production and there are tickets that can sit in 3 days.

However, I think since they are decentralized, you can't really expect them at least a support that is top notch. And I doubt that they prioritized tickets, it should be like in a queue or something, so if you are ticket support #1000 then you have to wait because they are tending to the first 999. And there's no escalation as well, no critical tickets. For them a ticket is a ticket nothing else.

~SNIPPED~

Support. Support. Support.

That is the main problem of most of the exchanges/trading sites, poor handling of all customer's concerns. Minor problems takes time to be resolved so how much longer if it's a major one. Even the most "reputable" and "top" exchanges/trading platforms today are having a problem about poor handling of all tickets which increases day by day.

I experienced fast response back then in Coinbase support, Poloniex and Bitfinex but today there are now involved on those exchanges who have poor support.

No choice but we have to deal with it. That's why regulation sometimes will give benefit to us even the whole thing will now be centralized. Fortunately, I never did experienced a major problem with them and hopefully not in the future.

-sigh-

No, they all are the same, but there are a lot of exchanges coming up to the internet everyday (they were created by initial coin offerings) The traditional exchanges are very hyped right now, i dont know why there is still people using them.

Bittrex? Bittrex is the real shit only that on a website in form of exchange, they stoled me more than 1 BTC, and they never gave me a reply back to my support ticket (submitted on July of the last year)

Well, Poloniex was for quite some time one of the largest exchanges, till they started to mess up things, which resulted in people moving from Poloniex to Bittrex. It directly made Bittrex one of the largest exchanges, and the BTC-E shutdown helped them move forward as well. Ironically, the problems people were experiencing with Poloniex, are now present at Bittrex as well. Seriously, Bittrex is probably the main center of the majority of complaints, and especially so in the last months. Regarding LocalBitcoins, it's decent for occasional buyers and sellers, but not for the more active traders looking to bank on Bitcoin's volatility.

I have remembered back into those exchanges where their customer support were very responsive when it comes to users concerns or any other complaints but now they do really changed which they cant able to sustain such service to their users. We can give some considerations since there would really be already lots of users do been add up compared back into the past but yet its not an excuse for them not to upgrade. They do already generated some serious money after all these year thats why they should really resolve it asap for them to sustain on what they have started.

In my experience the exchangers with best supports are Cryptopia, Kraken and Bitfinex. They answered fast to support tickets. Cryptopia also has an acive chat and forum, so that most of support questions will be answered there nearly instant. Poloniex support is sometimes disabled and Yobit doesn't seem to exist.

The surge of users makes it more difficult for the support on exchanges to address the issues immediately. This is a discouragement because they are earning so much money from all the users so at least they should have a number of support who can address the problem of users as soon as possible but it should just not exceed for a month or even a week. I have known some whose issues are still not addressed and its been a few months already. I do hope that for those exchanges who have a good support for now would continue to their quality service an for those ICOs, they should take into account that one of the keys for their exchange to attract more users is the active support.

Cryptopia has the best support in all of exchanges. They answer immediately and about bittrex, they handle millions of users so I think it's the reason they can respond every minute.

I dont think so. Cryptopia is a very small exchange, look at the their daily volume on coinmarketcap.com.

If Cryptopia reaches Bittrex's or Poloniex's no. of customers, they surely will have the same problem. Anyhow, most altcoin exchanges are understaffed and maybe some of their staff are not qualified to handle your basic technical cryptocurrency wallet problems.

The issue of no support from the support team is due to more number of invesors or traders coming into their exchanges and there is not enough members to handle these situations so you have to wait for them to respond. Many exchanges are facing the same problems so some exchanges stopped new registration to handle the situation.
But in my view Poloniex is better exchange and I never faced any difficulties while deposing or withdrawal or wahtever so if you want tey poloniex for better experience.
