What do you think the price of ICON after mainnet release and in Dec 2018?

Will it reach $500 or not?

Its a potential coin like Ethereum

This coin will be huge. Korean ETH. Mainnet at 24th January.
Just imagine what is going to happen as soon as ICX ICON is at coinone, or bithumb.

I bought a decent amount and happy with it.

$25 is a good target for it this year I think, not $500.  BUT weird things happen in crypto world so I hope you are right!  :D

I think obviously it can rise, but 500 might be a bit too high, in the long term sure, but right now probably not

It can not be 500 dollars. total supply is 400,230,000. 400,230,000X500 = $ 200,023,000,000 marketcap. It did not come true to me.

Could be one of the top coins in 2018.

$500 or 500 cents. This is a tall order, a really tough call. It will rise but not upto $500 of course.

then with the first Korean exchange coinone, or bithumb just imagine the price....
this is a Korean project, and Koreans love Crypto.

In the past two months, from 08.11.2017 to 08.01.2018, the price of ICON has increased by 10 times, so it can be expected that it can continue to increase from 10 to 50 times in 2018. So price 100-500$ is perfectly possible!

That kind of growth is not sustainable.  I wish it is, but sadly no. 

Pros:

• It possible could be Korea's Ethereum which would be huuuuuge.  
• Unlike Ethereum when it started and even now they already have a product in place before launch working with banks, hospitals, universities and government grants.
• The founder is very charismatic and realistic about what they are trying to do.  Not a hype man with no product like Justin Sun of Tron.
• South Koreans are smart, technical and make some of the greatest tech products so potential is enormous.    

Cons:

• The supply of the coin is going to double some time after the mainnet.
• I don't know what that is going to do to the price.
• I am kind of uncomfortable that the whole world has been buying this up but for some reason it's not available on Korean exchanges until after the the mainnet.
• I am not sure about the technical community behind it (Smart Koreans devs probably are some of the best in the world though)  
• Koreans are going to have a ton more information about Icon than we do.  I don't know if the relationships with banks, etc are real.  Koreans will know it and if they start buying than we buy more  

I've made a good amount of money in this coin. But I've cut my position in half to take away some risk.  I think Blockchain platforms are going to be big and like the founder says the world will revolve around a few of them.  This could be one of them but they don't have anything yet.  The more mature the platform, the more I keep.  My NEO holdings are half my Ethereum holdings.  So I've made my Icon holdings half my Neo holdings.  

By end of 2018 I think this should be between $40-$60.....Longer term, should get above $200 by 2020.

As others have pointed out, Koreans are FIERCELY loyal, and they will want to make Icon more valuable than ethereum.

500 usd is an unrealistic target for 2018. maybe in a farther future but not 2018. If mainnet release succeeds, we can see 20 usd in the very near future and 50-60 usd before the end of 2018. Icon has a great potential and labelled as an alternative to Ethereum network. I have some in my portfolio and very happy with it.
