Any idea why? The reddit community seems dead!

Yesterday they had an announcement to launch an ICO platform.

Is it really surging?. I havent heard any news about it in a while.

Well it went from $16 to $22 in a week which is nothing compared to some cryptos. But as the previous commented it possible because of the recent ICO

Coin stratis has been bought for too long at low prices and now it is time to raise prices is understandable. The whale is starting to push its price. Stratis is really a very good altcoin but it has been drowned for so long that it fell deep a long time ago, and now is the time and it speaks. I think stratis will increase very strongly during this time.

I don't see any surging in stratis price and what happens yesterday was a little movement. I have read of recent the technology behind this project and I think now that it is still cheap is the right time to buy. I but stratis the day before yesterday and I expect it to go as far as 50 dollars before end of next quarter. Please this is my view and not a suggestions for you to invest.

Stratis will still show himself. Look at roadmap + Q1 2018 events.

I'm a newbie in crypto. Do you guys know how I can achieve these Stratis ICO's and can get in the Slack forum?

If you can see the chart analysis then the Stratis was trending beautifully uptrend and after it has broken the previous all-time high near $12 with high volume, then it was pretty clear that it is going for long-term high prices which means it is a good option for buying and the reason for recent surging in the Stratis prices is that it has tested the previous all-time high at the price of $12 for couple of times proving that there is no supply seen at that prices which in turn produces good strong demand zone and because of that price is surging higher.

i haven't checked the news and some people are saying something about ICO platform here which may very well be true but at the end of the day the first thing that is the cause of any big surge in an altcoin is pump. don't look much further than that.
there are sometimes some reason like this news for it and sometimes purely pump groups moving money from one coin to another.
