2018 is Dog's year according to the eastern calendar - maybe DOGE will pumps in 2018

The least expected coin to be mentioned by McAfee by me was Dogecoin. He keeps surprising us. Do you have any ideas how he picks the coins?

This guy gets paid to promote them i guess

His recommendation seems to be making it dump? Doge works differently from other coins I suppose.

I don't think he is taking money for promotion. He can just buy some thousands of it and make the announcement.
The price will rise and he can sell them taking profit. It's the 1 million dollar question. Which coin is going to make money today. 
I don't believe that he has a team either, he is just picking one coin. Immagine there are bots made for trading and waiting for the announcement on McAfee's twitter.

That should show everyone that his "Coin of the week" tips are worthless.

It's weird. It's like he spent all of his real money and has now been reduced to pump and dump schemes. Anybody know how much he made when he left his company?

Dogecoin has no value and does not deserve to be invested, for what? Trolling? They have no effective project or product that is useful for investors and in the community. People should instead invest into more productive coins like Oyster, SiaCoin,  Clout etc.

I left some coins for collectibles. But there is no hope for her any more, a shitcoin that you can safely bury and burial.

He promotes coins so that he could get all your money out from your pocket. I think cryptocurrency companies are staying away from Mr. McAfee because it only pumps a little time but the damage will be worst. Everyone is suppose to be earning money but Mr. John took our chances away.

After the pump comes the heavy dumping of never rising again. once a coin is without a useful usecase, the coin has no value and thus much money won't be flowing into the project to keep the price up.

Quite unexpected McAfee's choice. Dogecoin is very old coin. But for pumping no matter. Main thing - to have time to go out.

The name of the coin like the antivirus which is not very effective. Shoved all the laptops in the sale.

I bet even its devs are surprised by the unexpected rise of dogecoin price. It's simply a joke. :)

The fact that he promotes a coin like Dogecoin only emphasizes how much he cares for profit as opposed to the project itself.

What is not done from Dogecoin compared to other cryptocurrenci coins including Bitcoin is a matter of promoting the coin. Since the emergence of Dogecoin, ever rising in price when sponsoring Nascar (2017 ago),But who wants to bet invest here please try, at CMC the price is down.

Like other species, out of thousands of crypto-currencies - DogeCoin grow, turning into a serious financial, promising tool.

He definitely has an effect on the price of the coins....I was watching the market when his twitter feed got hacked, every time they mentioned a coin it spiked and once all his twitter followers realized he had been hacked the prices all took a pretty hefty dive. Probably best to do your own research and play the long game HODL....

McAffee really does seem to be getting paid for promoting certain coins. See the whole affair with Verge. That said, Doge might actually pump this year. Self-fulfilling prophecies, the chicken or the egg...

Dogecoin is great but you guys should watch out for bytecoin also. They grow at the same time and Bytecoin has a large market cap.

2018 is the year of the dog. It follows that this year Dogecoin has to prove himself from the very best side and grow several times.
And Maccafe's predictions will certainly help to coin in this.

So yeah you right on the spot. He just wanted to gain the panic buy user and dump it out later.

that is not a persuasive reason, but I believe doge will rise. increasing transaction demand will pump its price since it is old and widely accepted. ;)

Not that I prefer cats over dogs... just that cat fit the cryptocurrency topic much better than dogs. Cats make money, dogs lose money. That's how the world works. Never seen an evil genius who wants to take over the world with a dog on his lap... usually they're petting a cat. That's why! :)

Is McAfee a legit one to follow his predictions? From my perspective McAfee is just paid because he has a lot of followers.

He depended on the year of the DOG so he said that it's the coin of the week. But I haven't seen a big movement for Doge after pushing it when he tweet. Even he will make a pump and dump activity to dogecoin there will be no good future for it anymore. It's like they keep on printing money again and again, nonstop. And that is going to be lessen it's value because of the inflation as there's a relation of the law of supply and demand.

This was totally unexpectable for me. Even dogecoin's developer stopped working on his coin/product. Yeah it had meme value but now its gonna be speculative as hell man.

Isn't he claimed that his twitter account has been hacked?  McAfee Warns of Advanced Hacking After Twitter Account Hijacking (https://cointelegraph.com/news/mcafee-warns-of-advanced-hacking-after-twitter-account-hijacking). So I don't know if we should believed everything from his twitter account if what he claims is true. I was also surprised to find out him making those bold predictions on a certain coin.

And it looks like he is now what we called manipulator as well. Previously, he only called bitcoin and his very bullish predictions on it. And even bet that he's gonna eat his disk on public if bitcoin didn't reach $500K in 3 years! I haven't been following his tweets though, but it looks like he(hackers) has swayed a lot of investors on his favors, making millions in short amount of time.

So just be careful guys, watch every tweets coming from that account. You don't want to be trap as well if you follow every tweets as to what coins everyone should get in right now.

Read on another site he sold mcafee for $100+M, had about $4M when he landed in Belize, spent a lot of that, he's now living with   a stripper at her house.  So he's counting on BTC 'going to the moon.'

Potentially someone who has a lot of those coins paid the guy for some advertisement. If people really trust the word of McAfee and with all the volatility in regards the crypto markets there's a good chance there's a spike in worth. And then that someone sells to a good price, naturally.

Personally I wouldn't believe a single word spilled out by McAfee. Maybe just me? :)

Yes,it is. But he later said the coin has go beyond the range based on mental concepts. However, I think he was trying get people attention back to the coin.

McAfee is trying to manipulate the market again. He is using his connections to try hype and pump the coin. Do you guys trust McAfee?

I don't listen to what some guy on Twitter has to say. I prefer to use my own common sense. If a project has potential and a strong community behind it, then I am willing to invest regardless of what somebody else has to say.

I think dogecoin will be underestimated coin that will increase later because if we are seeing in the exchange, there is a big order buy and sell placed and waiting to be filled. and once every of price is filled, then the price will go up higher. and now, the dogecoin show a good movement and although today the price is down again, I think it will increase later. I could wait until the dogecoin price increase higher and I am sure that many people expect this too.

Yeah that's exactly how it works! Random pumps! But newbies won't understand this and they think it's perfectly normal to buy a pumped coin which might have future. The point here is dogecoin owner himself shows no interest in his project and Crypto currencies. But noobs still but that what an irony.

What inevitably will be the bursting bubble of cryptocurrencies, is the amount of money being poured into shit coins and shit projects. Dogecoin is a shit coin, as it serves no purpose. Sure, you might make some money short term, but all money put in to this, is money expanding the size of the bubble, which is increasing the consequences of a cryptocurrency meltdown.
Dogecoin, having a 1,7 bio market cap, shows just how many ignorant people that are joining the market as we speak.

It makes me sad.

I just don't understand this McAfee of a guy. To me he is so not cool.. Publicly boast of getting involved in things that are not to be publicly declared by a *normal person.

Then he request for money to tweet about coins or buys coins then tweets about them till he dumps them on ATH buyers..

About dogecoin no one would or should advice you. DYOR then apply what you learn to make investment decisions. If it moons you would  be confident in yourself. If it tanks....dont beat yourself but rather learn from it... No one is a true expert no one is a true newbie....

His weekly altcoins pick does not have impact on any coin as far as I am concerned. What make a coin is it usability, the problem it will solve, the team and the community.

Why would McAfee even choose such a coin, I mean the development of the coin is essentially dead, so the product is kinda useless now. And if anyone thinks that just because it's the year of the dog, Doge will pump, I don't think that is true at all. Chinese buyers do their own research too and don't simply buy coins just because it coincides with a zodiac.

I don't think it is his anymore. The company was sold long time ago for lots of cash. The question how much of his was it to begin with? Did he actually coded the initial version? No idea. Never used it. Always went for alternative free solutions, if required. :)
