You should have not done it in my opinion, Ethereum is more dependable and popular than ADA therefore ETH has more rate to use than ADA, by that means ETH has a lot more potential to grow fast enough than ADA but its your personal choice best of luck !

If you sold a part of your ETH for ADA it should be fine but if all in to ADA I guess that can be a pretty bad move.

Now cardano also in the top five coin list bro so you can boldly invest on the cardano since the growth is reasonable in the market. Now ethereum value is bumped in the market so using this time and buy some potential cheap coins with the eth you have.
It will be bumped higher in the market and the time will comes soon for it. Please check the preferred coin like ADA, steller and Tron.

It doesn’t look like a healthy decision truth to be told. Ada is a risky coin to invest normally and selling your ethereum to invest in a risky coin is not good at all.

Well jumping from coin to coin is never healthy process. Ether had even room to get bigger. But still ada isn't good coin. You shouldn't worry. I would suggest you to diversify more.

for a short distance this may be the right decision. buy a profit and sell. but in any case to diversify the risks. now the etherium is on the rise and most likely it will continue to grow without a high risk

if you can hold then i wont realy see it as bad choice except u wanna buy lambo over night lolzz, the secrets to good investment is holdu and nothing more

It's a big gamble. Cardano is so early on at the moment, but Ethereum has a lot of adoption and a great product - even if it has scaling problems, these should hopefully be resolved soon.
I wanted to get ADA too, but I missed the huge pump. I have bought some but I am keeping my Ethereum as well.

Sorry to say this but it’s  clearly a bad choice. If you bought ada by selling another alt coin that could be different story but selling your ethereum means you sold your guaranteed profit you invest in a risky coin. I hope you won’t regret this in the future mate.

Your are clearly in the FOMO - fear of missing out), it's the main disease of traders and holders.
Have a plan and stick to it. If you think ADA is worth the shot, don't sell them back to ETH.
If you think you bought ADA and it was a mistake because you didn't check the project, and just followed the opinion of so called expert, then, you might have made a mistake indeed. But if you are afraid of loosing, put some stop loss on your exchange to securize your portfolio.

Good luck with your investment. Just take care of FOMO and All In. It's the worst thing to do.

What the hell did you do that? Ethereum has been mooning lately and I don't know what the future of ADA is but its really a bad moved on our part. I have been lucky to get into Ethereum when it was below $500 although at that time the price is too steep but I take my chances and now its above $1K.

What did you find in ADA that would make you to decide to shift to it? Maybe you can share your thoughts so that we can see where you are coming from regarding your decision.

Exactly, it has still more room to grow this coming year. I'm holding on it for at least 6 months and see where it goes. I thought that the initial jump is purely a pump but when it hits all-time-high and surpassing 4 digit mark this year, its really hard to ignore and I'm happy was able to get in before it surges up until this moment.

Man, that is one heck of a gamble you did there. You could've at least kept even 40% of your ethereum rather than going all in on something so risky. I mean, you already had a great coin which is ethereum. Oh well, no guts no glory. Just remember next time to not let yourself be too afraid of missing out. Missing out is better than losing capital. Interesting move, my vote at the moment goes to ETH since its relatively stable and established. However the % gain potential for ADA could be what drove your decision?

If I were in your place, I probably would not have done it, because I think the air is already a proven coin, and what will happen to Cardano, I can not imagine, maybe you did it right and in 5-7 years cardano will be better than the air.

considering the volume of ADA, i'm not sure it will worth a lot of mony, except if you got millions of ADA, i would keep my ETH

Today ETH value has increased for almost 12% so I would not replace all ETH coins to ADA in my portfolio, only a little part.

According to me this was a very bad choice in my opinion.
Since bitcoin having transaction issues like high fee and delayed confirmation ETH has been everyone's choice,
Very fast confirmations,the fees are ridiculously low and they have been on the rise and rose by 400$ past 2 weeks
On the other hand ADA is not even close to ETH .

Ideally, of course, should have split the Deposit and buy both coins. But ADA is more likely to do x5, x10 or even more, because it is a cheap promising coin worth less than 1$.

I think ETH is much better as compare to ADA. ETHEREUM   is good and reliable. so dear don't sell your ETH for ADA it's a very bad choice.

I would do the same. Because to swap completely on a coin that just came out into the world is very risky, I believe. Therefore, I too could not sell all the air in favor of cardano.

A friend of mine has been badgering me about ADA for awhile now. He could very well be right. whos knows

ETH is on the rise and i think you would gain having ETH at the moment, but there is always a chanse for ada to go up x2, and its easier to grow x2 for a coin which is under a $ than to a coin which is over 1000$

Ethereum for ADA? Bad choice indeed! You can not compare the value of ethereum platform that support countless project that have been successful in raising capital they might not have been able to raise in traditional settings. Ethereum is way valuable than ADA.

Nobody is psychic but, truth be told, I wouldnt sell all my Ethereum to buy Cardano. I would buy SOME ADA but all my stock into it? The phrase never put all your eggs in one basket comes to mind.

Nope, it's not a bad unless you're investing into not so popular Altcoins. Diverting your portfolio from Ethereum into Cardano is a good choice also since you'd seen that ADA is rising then you just grabbed the opportunity. But now Ethereum is continuing to rise like what Bitcoin's pump last January 2017 so if you could divert again the other way from ADA to Ethereum then it's a good choice either.

Considering Cardano ADA gained around like 10X in just weeks after the ICO you should have probably waited for a retraction.

In my opinion its a good choice. Cardano is basically a way better version of Ether in its baby stages. Running block chains in parallel to resolve scaling issues is the best innovative idea out there. Cardano is one of its kind plus the team behind Cardano is hands down simply put the BEST.

I don't think it is a good idea. ETH and BTC are two relaiable coins and you should hols them. If you are really inerested in ADA you can buy some but at the same time, you'd better hold the ETH still.

If you insist on putting eth into the ADA is not a big deal.But it would be nice to send a part of it Because I am sure that eth price in the future will be glorious so it will not make you disappointed if you keep it.

I think by looking at the price of ADA on the 9th of january there price has been down, it is worth to buy it for short-term profit.

Investing in Cardano looks reliable and justified.
But on the other hand, I think you have to hold your ETH .
So i think you  can sold only a small part of ETH for ADA.

Still, I think soon correction of the crypto market will end and most likely cardano will start its flight into space. Therefore, it is probably worth seriously thinking about this, but I do not think it's worth selling all the etherium

I like Cardano, but it is already a top 5 coin, it means that it doesn't have huge potentials to keep going up more. There are other altcoins that can already keep going up for a while.. I would never put money in an altcoin that has already increased by more than x100, except bitcoin & ethereum of course.

I guess that's not the right choice. It would be much better if the ethereum hold and use it to invest in long term time. It would be more effective.

How on earth will anyone sell ethereum for Ada.  Even if you are a newbie with no experience at least you can read the level of value  people placed on ethereum by what people say on this forum. Bitcoin like they say I'd the King. Ethereum is Queen of cryptocurrency!

As far as I understand, today there has begun a serious growth of many altcoins, so probably it's worth to look at Cardano, because now as never you can find a good entry point to the market, well and then probably act on the situation, I would hurry.

I don't think is a good idea because ETH is a very good coin and if you want to do it. I think you can sell some of it and buy some AOA. After you sell them you'd better buy in ETH again for long term holding.

There is a bad idea to change ETH to ADA, before do this you must make analisys for ADA

Well if you hold it for a long time then it will prove good buy. but if you just plan to sell it for a short time then it can go opposite.
