I really don't understand why have Waves so low price. Last year ETH went from 11 to almost 1000.

Do you think is this possible to Waves?  ;)

waves platform still isnt complete and its a long term vision and project, so once they reach their milestones they do have the chance of going up a lot. Though can they compete with ethereum is doubtful as ether has first mover advantage.

Maybe if people start launching ICOs on WAVES? Likely?

Yeah, they need to launch successful ICOs on their platform, thats when they price will start to explode.

Wave may not go up as ethereum has done in 2017 but I expected us to have a very serious increasing In wave pricing this year 2018. Wave has not performed poorly either because it has also move from near  $1 to around  $17 and this is one of the best perform price if you consider the percentage change.

Waves is doing just fine. It's also silly to compare it to ETH at this point. I think the catalyst for the WAVES "big boom" is going to be when they finish polishing their DEX (it is still rather clunky and not super user friendly to use) and big & well supported new projects start releasing on their platform.

What made ETH blow up the way it did was the sheer amount of ICOs that launched on their platform in such a short period of time.

To answer your question though, it is absolutely possible for Waves to rise to or surpass ETH status. Waves has the same capabilities, and much, much more. It is only a matter of time. 

I think the waves are still in development unlike ethereum that has been long standing with bitcoin, moreover ETH heard the cutting edge step ahead of the other ALT and naturally now the ETH price is heating up to 1200$ and the price is now moving up too many enthusiasts for this ALT.

Waves platform speed and scalability is supposed to be better than Ethereum so it just needs
some trigger to launch it upwards and catch investors attention. Do not know how high it will
go but getting above $100 is possible this year.

From $11 to more than $12200, haha, you are right, but waves doesn't have that potential to rise just like ethereum did. It is not because i do not like waves, in fact, it is a very good coin, but there are some others who are much more better right now, and they have more potential.

Because Waves isn't nearly at the same stage as ethereum, it's still a work in progress, the platform has nowhere near the level of use that ethereum. Give it some time, this time next year Waves could have enjoyed similar success to ethereum, these things don't happen overnight.

I think that Waves will skyrocket at some point this year. I just don't know when. Some of the tokens built on its platform are starting to gain steam, so it's only a matter of time before Waves explodes like ETH and LTC did last year.

Yes, everyone here says that there will be a colossal increase in the price of Waves.

Waves isn't bad at all and I admit I do hold off this coin until these days and I do have high hopes for this coin too.It might not able to go equal with ETH but do still have the chance to progress but the question is no one knows on when but if we do tried to look up on their long term plans then we can assume that this thing will really increase its price too.

It is difficult to bypass Eth as Eth got advantage it started earlier and Waves is not as mature. However Waves has big potential and I do believe it will boom this year. But who knows!

Not almost it is already 1250 usd  :D Waves was a sleeping giant. But i think it fall a sleep for so long time  :D It is going to wake up when everybody give up holding waves tokens.

The ripples did not catch the pump wave. I hope they will pumpless the waves as soon as possible. Otherwise investors are both upset and angry.

Ether was also low for very very long time and then went to the moon.

I think WAVES and STELLAR will be next coins with smart contract capabilities who will get a serious pump. Just check NEO this week.

This! Waves just seems way undervalued compared to many of the other coins sitting above. Sasha is doing a great job and if they continue their work like this theres only one possible way for waves and thats up.

There are rumors that the government of Russia will support the waves! If this happens, then their cost will grow in times. But then there will be a high probability that the waves will be under sanctions. This is not official information, so far only rumors !!

Because they have a descentralized DEX exchange, it means that it needs to be at $1000? No mate, it is not how it works.

Waves has a good price, it doesn't deserve more, or less.

You need to be patient, if you believe in waves then you are going to need to wait for some time, you cannot expect that a coin skyrockets every single month, enjoy the ride, look for some other coins in which you would like to invest, if you are already invested in waves then you have nothing to fear and only need to hold for some years to see such great results.

Ethreum project has been more successful. But waves has also very high potential to rise in price in very much.
Waves platform, the ease of use, its usage for ICOs and fast transactions are some of factors that will cause the price to rise. 

I was thinking about invest in waves. Observed them 2-3 months but i think today its not so intresting for me.

sure you can but for sure take a long time because the waves are very long at all to be able to go up in price. In contrast to the other, waves tend to be relaxed and not rushed.

Just like the way Ethereum moved from its low price to it new  high price, Waves can do the same only what it needs is time to nurture and grow. Remember even Bitcoin started out small, now look at it present price. You just have to be patient about. Moreover, you shouldn't be comparing Ethereum to Waves, though waves is a good coin but I believe Ethereum is in it present rate because of what it has to offer.

Waves just another stable crap coin with so many promises from Sasha to the investors? They are claiming to be issued the new smart contract for waves platform. That's bullshit. How so many projects can't do their creative idea to make new stuff rather than follow the thing that already exists.

I've just checked Waves, and they're at $12 with an 11% decline. I could say that Waves is still undervalued as of this moment, but there will be further developments for this cryptocurrency this year.

Yes, I've seen Ethereum's growth right now to $1,400+ and expect that they might surge higher and higher. Imagine if we invested on Ethereum last November 2016 when it was still almost $10, we would have non-stop excitement for our profits.

As for Waves, they still have a long way to go. As long they have improved developments and partnerships with other ICOs or companies, they would pump up a bit and could attract investors again to invest in this altcoin.

I think there is a big possibility that waves is going to spike this year, eth already set a solid root and becoming most part of the ICO token, so it's not surprising that eth could rise so fast, waves is a good coin, I am sure that this year we will see a significant rising

waves also is a nice coin equal to ethereum. but to get the profit opportunities I think waves slower and a bit hard. to achieve the high price it seems like not a problem for the waves but needs more time.

To do this, you need a push, the launch of new ICO and even then you can say that this is just a good coin but not the leader in the world of alts.

These projects are often compared, but many skeptics say that WAVES project is very weak atm. But I am sure that this project is just beginning to develop and will soon be successful too. When ETH was on 7 dollars very few people believed that the price will rise to 1200 dollars. WAVES can also follow this path.

waves is a nice coin to invest in the long term. but to achieve high prices like ethereum looks like waves need energy and process a long time ago. Therefore if you want to invest in the short term then waves are not the right choice.

Waves will have its time to shine in the market. But I think we can see its price will go high this year. It will eventually pump and if you check the market still you can earn profit. Also, if you know how to manage I can say it is also good for short term.

In my opinion, waves can do the same thing. Waves began to spread its wings, launching its own platform. This is one step waves toward great success such as ethereum and bitcoin. I do not think so. because ethereum and waves have different backgrounds so waves can not mimic the development of eth briefly.

I think Waves has done rather well. I was in the ICO and had 24k of them @16 cents. they are alot more than that now. I think think we just need more people in crypto and maybe a little more marketing for Waves as money gets thin as billions pile into the first cryptos that new investors see besides BTC like ETH and Ripple.

every alts have different flatform. i think wave is alright too but problem with waves is very undervalued we need to wait for long time.

ETH has hundreds of tokens and dApps being built on its platform while I never hear about anything related to waves platform. Waves doesn't even come anywhere near the amount of development work being done for Eth.

but still their cost is now very low, I think as soon as bitcoin starts to grow again, the waves reach for it, and possibly gain their new height.

There have already been some ICO on Waves and github activity is good. Hope to see more positive news from them soon.

I think waves is clearly not the second etherium. A lot of topics on the forum where they praise the waves, for me it looks strange. Perhaps because I just do not like the waves from the very first day and this is my distorted perception. In addition, with the capitalization to date, I would not expect a strong growth of this token

Well it’s true waves has similarities to Ethereum but it doesn’t mean they will follow the same financial roadmap. Because investors have different priorities when they are deciding on which coin to inves it. Also developers decide how fast their projects would accomplish their goals. That effects the price of coin.

Just like tokes, incent or even primal base. but i see the fact that the waves assets don't get so many demand just like what already done by ethereum assets. Because we know that about the fact the waves assets are not widely acceptable in various exchange site. I remember about some waves projects raised a lot of amount but they are all even getting delisted from tidex as waves official centralized exchange site.

There is difference in both coins. Waves couldn't even launch biggest features. Ethereum keeps hype in it and many many token projects are successful on ethereum chain. These coins are not to compare. Ethereum is superior.

I bought ethereum last few yeats ago and the price is look like that and I think many people earn also and until now they have ethereum so they can earn a lot of profit because the price of ethereum as of now is very high.  I hope it will continue to increase the price so we can get more profit.  More ethereum that you have more money to come with you.  Just hold ethereum becaude it is the next bitcoin.

Been playing around the waves beta platform and the new DEX is the biggest improvement I've seen so far. I think once it goes live, waves is going to start moving upwards

Wave needs time to showcase his product, it needs more promotions to increase their popularity in order to catch attention of new buyers. This is not a bad project but only time can tell what's the future of wave. I'm hoping that this will grow soon.

Ethereum has grown tremendously over the past a year or so. Although, waves is a very good project, but I don't think It would match Ethereum.

Totally hoping for the best with waves since I'm holding some of it and I really want to see that waves will grow the same as ETH did for now. But seems waves dev's are so quite and little bit slow for their developments and maybe that one make their coin stable and little bit forgotten by the traders.

Waves will not become the second eth. It seems that it is slowly growing. Eth already has a good position in the market and will not give it back easily. It's no coincidence that the eth price is high.

Almost $1000? It reached $1200 worth so it's not just "almost". This is a simple citing that Ethereum is an extra ordinary altcoin that can crack up your expectations. If it reaches that high price that easy, I wouldn't be surprise if it cost same as BTC in the future.

If waves continue to improve their system, I think this thing is possible but of course it will take more time. ETH is indeed a good one, and waves is far behind it, if you invest on waves you have to be more patience because this coin will not grow easily.

Are there people that sold waves at the high and then bought back at the lows?

The way I see it, there's room for more than one protocol or blockchain. Waves has been slower out of the gate but progress is being made and there are good projects behind it. Waves is also establishing partnerships and using its incubator program effectively. With continued effort, this could see great success with increased adoption.

For me in my own opinion Waves is the next coin from ETH and just my speculation or prediction that I based on what I've searched in the fundamentals of Waves for me could possibly reach $100 or more but we don't know when but Waves is very worth for holding long term.

Every Waves Hodler is waiting for the Smart Contracts with turing complete feature, which is going to be released in Q4 this year. After that Waves will see a huge rise.

Waves is a very good project, but it hasn't done well last year. On the other hand, Ethereum has pumped hard and has reached around $1400.

I don't think based on what is happening now any coins or tokens can actually get that type of upwards price movement but we actually need to see things from reality point. Ethereum had that progress because 2017 was a crypto currencies year and the pumping was real but this year 2018 wave cannot make such progress because we have many issues against bitcoin.

Waves has great potential. The team works quite well, the internet sites are very nice, the sending speeds are very good, the transfer fees are very low. I do not think there's a reason for not rising. They all need a pump

There maybe some factors affecting why Waves price isn't improving like the devs are still trying to look for more ways to improve it or something. Also, eventhough some coins are the same in nature there are still factors that may affect the coin's growth and everything depends on how its developers and the team behind it work on its growth. Most of the altcoins are based on ETH platform so I guess that is one advantage of Etherium over other altcoins.

Ethereum indeed crossed 1k dollars and it is capable of gaining this much rather more value in the future. Now that bitcoin is suffering decline, it is not possible for ETH to put a great show all by itself. How much good or tough Ethereum might become but it won’t happen ever that it will be standing at the same level as bitcoin will. There is always one champion and no one else can take its place. Bitcoin is the champion of digital market.

I don't think that WAVES is a good project to invest in now. ETH looks much more promising. I would not compare them. WAVES will not be able to pass along the path of ETH 2017. But maybe they will release a really cool DEX soon and this will bring them to the next level.

It is really not so difficult to understand, waves is a good project one that I think will have a bigger value in the future but you cannot really expect to have the same market cap of Ethereum, if waves wants to have the same market cap or a bigger one, it will need to surpass Ethereum so most icos will need to come in waves instead of Ethereum.

Nothing is impossible as long as users keep on endorsing waves to reach out many people then little by little people and investor will keep on eye with the coin and some of them will start investing and some will keep amount of it for holding.

If you look closely at the price charts, you can see that the waves sink in price no less than the Ethereum. Now all the coins are suffering.

Both are completely different. Ethereum can run dapps whereas waves is just a token machine. The good thing about waves is that it is very easy to use, but it means there are too many scammy coins that are worthless. Ethereum is complicated but it has both scam and serious projects on it's blockchain.

Waves now is still in price that purchasing it offer very big profit in this year even, so just buying it even today can be so profitable for long and short term holding. In my opinion waves is just waiting for people to understand it and after that it will just pump to the moon.

You can't compare apples to oranges.. Ethereum was first of its kind when it was released. Waves offered many different things and couldn't even become succesful on these claims. I am really curious about Waves future as its going to have ot of problems to solve.

There is  huge gulf between Waves and Ethereum, Waves is just an exchange platform what people don't understand is that the project came out at the right time and was greatly overvalued even then, this can't compare to Binance or NEO talkless of ICO all the talk of smart contract release won't do that much to the price

To me it seems the opposite I really think that waves is a great project that is undervalued and the potential for growth is incredible if you take into account its very low price and lower market cap compared to ETH, there is still some issues waves needs to resolve before becoming as popular as some centralized exchanges but they are working on them and if they do solve those issues the price will skyrocket.

Price of the waves coin as of now is 4.94 dollars and if we compared to the price last few months is very big difference because the price already decreased. But for sure it will recover again and once the price increase again it will continue to for sure. I believe the waves is possible to become like the price of ethereum but we need to wait for few years to happen that.

And what is there to understand, let them bring their platform to the ideal, and all ideas will be realized in life that were supposed to be a road map, and then we'll see growth and then compare it with the ETH stupidly, the price will be several times less.

WAVES platform has very few ICOs and projects and therefore the value remains low. If we get a big alt rally, then it will rise alongwith all others.

The reason is ETH has launched smart contracts at early stages. And many successful ICOs used this platform. Waves is going to launch smart contracts at the start of next month, which will give the boost to usage and popularity.

Let's see what will be the result of these waves which will also launched a smart contract next month. Maybe, we can expect some development with its value (waves). Crypto is keep evolving finding new features which will help the economy to be more advanced in terms of transactions.

Everything is possible. Every currency can go up dramatically! But the probability of growth of this particular currency is not great.

I think people are getting things wrong here, Waves started and their main selling point was to be a DEX and I see people always compare this to Ethereum and NEO do not forget, both have a very strong community and market demand because of ICOs, can you tell me where the demand for Waves tokens are coming from. The volume on their DEX is majorly by driven by Waves tokens itself. I would have been bullish on this project if it was a centralised exchange and now there are talk of Smart contract, IMO they are late to the space and soon you will see that there will be no blockchain platform that you won't be able to run a smart contract as time goes by

Ethereum is much further along in terms of development and adoption. Waves price is lower because it is not the market standard in the way that ERC20 is.
Maybe Waves will grow, it depends on how development and adoption proceeds.

I have a little Waves in my portfolio. I do not expect too much growth from them this year. But the project is good and the price should grow.

We do not expect any big growth, since the Waves platform is still not fully developed. But still, there is still hope and the project is promising.

It literally took two years before ETH went to $1,000. You just have to be patient and trust the coin you invested on. I think waves is still one of the best coins you can invest on but I don't think that it can reach the achievement of Ethereum. I think it will probably reach $400.

Eth and waves are very different coins, most of the tokens have contributed the value of ethereum but what has waves done so far, there are just few remarlable coins on the their platform.

Waves project increase day by day. It's a long time project. I think end of year the waves platform will fully developed.

Waves are one of a good platform and Waves could be the next coin that will increase after this and we can expect to see the Waves price will increase too. I still have Waves too in my wallet and I will hold it for a long time and I see Waves have a good progress in their project so Waves have potential to go up later.
